Having some outside seating means that it is dog friendly, very important for us as we often holiday with our pup. Well the reason for going to a tapas bar, apart from the wine, is the food and on that front they don't dissappoint. Everything we tried was fabulous. Not sure what to order, try a tasting plate, a great way to sample many dishes. If, like me, you don't eat meat then they are only to happy to create something special. Their lunch time special is great value, the tapas of the day plus a drink for $10. The service is always warm and friendly, they brought a water bowl for our dog, and all-round great value, so much so that we came back a number of times. Next time we're in Forster this will be the first place we head to.

The big family knees-up dinner we had at this place was a 3-star good. It's a lovely fitout, dark and classy with an open balcony looking out onto the blue, blue ocean, as blue as ol' Blue Eyes' eponymous peepers. The North Coast is a luvverly place, but come the busy season I think they get casual staff in to deal with the demand - the lady we had did her level best but the Fawlty Towers theme music was playing somewhere in the background. The meals... well, there's an old Italian nonna in the kitchen saying "Ehhh, you too skinny!" because they are HUGE, like Hulk Hogan sized, just giant hearty servings. My garlic prawns were tasty, the salt and pepper calamari were the biggest rings I've ever seen, and really beautifully spiced, and the garlic bread and bruschetta were delicious too. The head of the table wasn't super keen on the lamb cutlets or the paella, which toed the risotto line and was caught in no man's land, but the T-bone got destroyed with vim and vigour. Hip, classy-funky, and filled with beautiful locals; Aussie's who are privileged to live in this gorgeous country (and have Tartt available to them as a bonus in this beautiful little NSW city of Forster). I would deadset do it every day if I didn't live four hours away. They crank the heaters up if it's cold. They do add ketchup on their burgers here. My sister hit the send and fries and it was very tasty and well prepared. My brother in law got the seafood basket and that can feed 2-3 people easily. Again it was amazing fried fish, chips and onion rings. Sorry didn't take a lot of pics as we were just eating.

No wonder it's so popular. 9 September 2019 Fish & chips The sign out the front says NSW's best fish & chips - I don't know about that but it was certainly delicious and fresh. Our flathead tails were covered in a light crispy batter, the salt and pepper squid was tasty and cooked to perfection and the chips were amazing. The staff were super nice and friendly too!
