I had a script sent from a manufacturer due to a manufacturer error, I went through the pharmacy to pick it up, mind you this was the second time because the day prior the other pharmacy tech didn't know what I was talking about. Besides, Gina immediately told me "you have to come inside for that" this was not made aware to me prior as I went through the drive through, I was unable to apologize as she left to find the manager since he was the only one who apparently knew where the medication was. When she handed me my meds she repeatedly and unprofessionally told me this wouldn't happen again and I have to come inside next time. Had this information been made aware to me prior I would have no issue coming inside however this information is not posted. The fact I was treated and spoken to like a child is despicable, clearly Gina needs better training when speaking with customers. If you have a sign on the window stating customers should be nice to staff maybe CVS staff should be nice to their customers

That shocked me to begin with. Although she was out of stock she recommended calling my doctor and having them adjust the dosage as she had a different strength available. I did as she suggested and everything worked out! She even called to tell me she received the script from my doctor and I could come anytime. I showed up at 5:30pm as she closes at 6 and she said you must be Renee. I was like omg hey yes I am! The pharmacy is so cute and so private you don't feel uncomfortable like at other pharmacies. Sandwiches include for example BLT, hot dog, grilled cheese, tuna salad, egg salad, chicken salad, turkey cold cut, ham, and other things your Mom might have made. The only soup option is "Campbell's Tomato." Check the web site...you will see pictures showing the soda fountain seating is green vinyl and the tables and countertops are Formica. In the back there is a real wooden public phone booth (ready for Clark Kent to do his thing). But you have to pay more than a dime for a phone call (that and the phone equipment is about all that has changed). Wife and I came by to try out the desserts. Since we're new to Martinsburg, I had to ask what the "Jo Jo" Sundae was (their house specialty), and it's French Vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, peanut butter syrup, and marshmallow. YUM. Wife had the root beer float. You can get regular and malted milk shakes. They had a number of items that you won't find anywhere else. Once we went to CVS to get one of those rubber red hot water bottles, which we wanted to use for muscle pain relief, and the fellow at CVS was young and he really was clueless about what we wanted. CVS didn't carry it, but Patterson's has those (at least two styles) and other things you won't find anywhere else. The counter lady said they try to get the "old things" whenever they can find them for their customers. Up front there is a display case for perfumes, colognes, and other "gift" items. On the counter in the back, I saw at least four large spools of gift wrap ribbon. Now, where else can you get a gift wrapped! (I suppose Macy's during the holiday season and that's about it these days). Patterson's also had a large display of fancy chocolates (we're coming up to Valentines Day) and Hallmark cards. Patterson's takes pride that you don't have to wait long to have your prescriptions filled, and they advertise that they take all major insurance, including federal employee health plan insurance (which applies to me). Right on the downtown walking mall, in a historic building, it almost surprises you when youre walking up and all of sudden- there's the CVS. At any rate, I walked in and was very impressed with the amount of items that are squeezed into this space- not just the usual drugstore items, but also foodstuffs, candies, chips, party supplies, business supplies, and the pharmacy in the rear of the building. The two issues I had were (1) the low level of customer service and (2) the pricing. The first issue is when I asked if they had a particular item - AFTER LOOKING MYSELF - the girl simply stared at me like I was a moron. Hey- sorry to bother you. I'll let you get back to pushing back your cuticles at the counter and daydreaming out the window. The second issue pertains to the prices which, even though they are a corporation - seemed really high for me in terms of other places I have been to. I don't know if rent is really high in the area, or they have to pay a hefty amount for the items - but it just felt like I was paying out of my nose for everyday items.
