Called on Dec. 26 for oil and was told it would be three weeks. When I didn't get oil, I called and was told I never ordered it, and I wouldn't get it for at least three additional weeks. This was the week of the blizzard, and, after waiting three weeks of waiting already, I was told it would be an additional four. Then a girl told me my name was removed from the list. But Manager Holly Pierre told me it was on the last after last minute shuffling of orders with the dispatcher. So the next day I waited, no one came. they deserve 0 stars. I moved out here 3 years ago and they have been an absolute joke every order. ordered propane in mid January and was told on 2/5 I was scheduled for delivery 2/7. I would give negative stars if I could. Placed an oil delivery on 1/20. Was given 3 different delivery dates only to have no one show up. This, mind you is during a deep freeze. Their response ( when they feel like responding) is to buy diesel. Hello? You've already received payment for my delivery. They will lie right to you, excuse after excuse. Now they are saying I'm not even on the delivery schedule? What!!!??? Horrible horrible experience. My correspondence with them is documented and I will be contacting the state attorney general and other appropriate agencies today if there is no resolution. read more

Horribly non responsive and dangerous. Kept promising to come out, cancelled other critical appointments because the person on phone said they would be there, did this for over 3 weeks, never arrived. Just to let everyone know this company is just about getting your money. I stopped at their station on evening and left my credit card with teller while I pumped gas. When I completed filling my truck I forgot to go back inside to finish my transaction. The store called the police ,which I understand sent police to my home to let me know of this about hour and half after. I admitted my mistake and told the officer I'd take care of it. About an hour later I had a new castle city police officer (officer Warren) call me and told me he wasn't on my time and I should have come as soon as officer left my residence! I explained to officer Warren I'm watching my nephew and I would be there before store closes and I was informed he was just going to file criminal theft charges on me and he wasn't waiting any longer. I went back to store about a half hour after he called to find my credit card was given to police as evidence (I guess proof I was meaning to pay) and I had no means to pay at this point. Within 3 days with me having to get to bank during work hours I had this 56$ gas bill paid. The next day since the store was pressing criminal charges on me i called my lawyer and it cost me 495$ to get this dropped all the while I was threatened to be arrested they wanted finger prints and my name was smeared in news paper over forgetting my credit card and I told them it was a mistake and I'd take care of it. I did take this matter to small claims court where the defence was they give me 1 hour to take care of this and when hour was up they had no choice than press charges. Lesson never make a honest mistake with this perfect company that never makes mistakes because I guess they are perfect, or they will come after you with everything that can and they care less about the customer as long as they get there money. Also just so everyone knows I have done business with these ppl before and purchase 100's of thousands of dollars off them and never missed a payment. Also known as 21st Century Energy Group, this company doesn't even deserve one star. The driver drove over the edge of a newer concrete drive, tire marks off the drive twice cracking the new concrete. After I reported it, they cancelled my account and never fixed anything. All I told them was to stay on the main drive and everything would be fine. Instead, they cancel my account. They could at least fix the damage, especially if they are going to cancel my account. Now, it leaves me with damage and having to find a new heating oil supplier. My advice, "Don't use or trust Reed Oil. New People bought the name. The service is now crooked, the way the new owners do business. If they can do this to a Disabled Veteran, with no recourse, they could do it to anyone! If I could, I would have selected NO STARS. We have ordered heating oil several times for more than 28 years, this year we ordered and they told us it would be 5-7 days even though we desperately needed the oil because we were almost out. On day 5 I called in and they told me it would be the next day, well they never delivered. I called on day 7 and they said that when I place the order they told me it would be 7-10 days, which was a lie!! We would have never placed the order with them if we were told it was going to be that long because we were already putting diesel fuel in our tank so we could have heat. They have no care or compassion or want to help a customer, basically they know they are going home to their houses that have heat and could care less about a repeat customer that needs help. Unfortunately, they did this to us a few years ago and we actually had pipes freeze in our home because they didn't deliver. I will never order from them again, they don't care and obviously they lie!! Order from anyone else but them!! read more
