I cannot say enough great things about Sal, and his roofing company. He's professional, reliable,…read morehas great roofing expertise, and is reasonably priced. I have a multi building property. I first called Contreras Roofing when I had a leak around a skylight that several attempts at wet patch repair did not fix. Sal came out to look at it, quoted a very reasonble price, and came out the next dry day to fix it. And fix it perfectly he did. About a week after that our main building, our house, started having severe leaks at the juncture of an extension roof to the house. Our living room is under this extension roof, and we had multiple pails catching water. We called Sal. He came out the day we called, diagnosed the problem, and attempted a wet patch repair, in the rain. Although this improved the situation, we still had leaking. Sal explained the reason for the issue, and quoted a reasonable price for a proper repair. Since the roof had been there for 30+ years, we asked how much more it would cost to replace the entire roof, including the extension roof. His price was incredibly reasonable, and he agreed to come out right away since we were going to have a 2 day rain interruption, to install a new roof. He did a beautiful job, including replacing, and adding vents we never would have known to ask for, as well as installing special flashing that would channel rain water. He will always be my go to roofer. In fact I'm scheduling him to replace another roof (the leaking skylight one) this summer. Thanks Sal, to you and your excellent crew.

Any time I called them out for being late, not doing what was promised, or giving any instructions at all, both Shane and his father would make comments to my husband saying things like "Your wife yelled at us" and other completely sexist comments with a wink-wink TO MY OWN HUSBAND as though they had some bro-club and could talk about me that way to him. This is exactly the issue with sexism--any woman exerting any kind of authority gets called out as bossy or a shrew--and the fact that I had paid $70,000 for a job just to have the people I hired speak about me that way is unacceptable. I am a small business owner--we have put years of blood, sweat, and tears to be able to open this business and the money that was being paid to him was every bit as much as my money as my husband's. What's worse is that I shouldn't have to justify myself at all. I hired him for a job, I expect respect and I shouldn't have to demand it. I only give two stars because ultimately we are satisfied with his work, although only the test of time can tell with a roof. He also gave us a few perks due to his mistakes. Mostly I am just glad to never have to speak to him again.
