I'm so happy that I finally got to try out Red's. I've had them saved on my "foodie wishlist" on Yelp for months now. I tried out their snickerdoodle cookie which was fantastic - not overly sweet and super soft! I also got a small ice cream swirl in vanilla and their seasonal flavor of the week, which was pumpkin pie. The texture of their ice cream is perfection. It's creamy, smoothly, and thick. The pumpkin pie was decent. It definitely tasted like a cold pumpkin pie. I do wish that they carried more flavors though. Currently they only offer two at a time. The vanilla which is always there and then a seasonal flavor that changes out every week. But either way, Red's was definitely worth the hype and the drive from CLT. read more

So in all fairness I have been going to get cookies at Reds for a few years now. This review has nothing to do with flavor or quality of cookies. They are amazing.. We went in middle of September. So when we got there, a line had formed. The person in front of us ordered the last of the Irish slammer cookie. I was told they had more that just needed to be frosted. So we got another cookie, oat apple pb crumble and payed. They sat our box aside to complete other orders while we waited for the Irish slammer cookies to be frosted. When I finally got my cookies like five minutes later we walked out. I didn't check until we got to the car but instead of Irish slammer they had put just a brown butter chocolate chip cookie in box.. I went back in to correct error.. I was honestly bothered that the worker put the cookie from my box back on display to be sold again. They could have easily thrown it out or let me keep it for inconvenience. But to sell it again is unsanitary to say the least. read more

I saw this place on IG, and I was nervous that it would be another hyped up place from social media that was mid at best. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! I've been twice in two weeks! I had the ostmeal chai cookie (name could be wrong)), a piece of the caramel brownie, and the brown butter salted caramel cookie. Literally EVERYTHING was so good. If I had to choose, the brownie was my favorite followed by the oatmeal cookie. The brownie was so moist and the caramel wasn't too thick or overly sweet. Literal perfection. The oatmeal cookie was also moist, and the chai flavor was subtle, yet tasty. The drink menu sounds good as well, so I'll be back to try those. The customer service is also good. My second time coming here today and even though they didn't have what I thought I wanted-what they did have was equally delicious! Omg! My first time I got the oatmeal crème pie and something else-maybe a chocolate chip cookie but what stood out was that oatmeal crème! Red's has a wonderful selection of cookies if you go in the morning, It's definitely popular as they don't have a lot of cookies left closer to closing. It's a really small and there's no seating inside but that's fine with me. It's more of a grab and go kinda place. I drove down the other day and got a couple cookies and their cookie and cream soft serve. It was all I could do not to eat everything in one sitting! One cookie had an amazing caramel glaze and the other was filled with a sweet, creamy cookie butter center. Portions and price are very fair- I appreciate that the soft serve was not gigantic, perfect size to satiate my sweet tooth. I will definitely be back! Service was great- there were a few people ahead of me but the line moved very fast. They have a small merch/retail shelf as well with candles, local goods. And a coffee counter that I will have to try next time! I ordered a Mothers Day box of five fresh baked cookies for my mom, who lives in the area. The varieties included Lemon Blueberry Poppyseed, Espresso Chocolate Chunk, Strawberry Cheesecake, Oatmeal Cream Pie and a Peanut Butter Brownie. I live in California so it was easy to order online and pay ahead of time and it made for a nice surprise for her to just stop by and pickup. Delivery would have been even better but the cost was otherwise reasonable and perhaps the in the future delivery will be an option. Tiny shop in downtown Mooresville really packs a cookie punch! If you love home style fresh baked cookies, this place is it! They are open from Wednesday to Saturday so keep that in mind if you plan to visit the shop. They do run out, so I recommend getting there early for your favorite flavors also. It is a very clean, small shop that has more than a dozen varieties daily, and soft serve ice cream. I haven't tried the ice cream yet, so can't comment on it, but the cookies are delicious! Amazing cookies! We stopped by here after a hike to try their cookies. We got here maybe 3-5 minutes before they opened at 11 on a Saturday and there was already a line. I do wish they opened earlier as we are early birds and having to get there right at 11 in order to make sure you get what you want can be a challenge. What we got: Cookies (texture on all is great - nice and soft!): Banana toffee brownie - could only taste the banana flavor when we warmed this one up. Loved it though. Rocky Road - I'm not positive, but I think this one had marshmallow bits instead of marshmallows or fluff. So I couldn't taste anything marshmallow like in this one. Just a chocolate nutty overload. Needs marshmallow to cut the chocolate and for it to be "Rocky road". PB chip - a very good pb cookie! Fantastic warmed up as well. Cake slices: Regular - chocolate with caramel and icing. OMG AMAZING! Sprinkle - funfetti like with icing. Good, but give me the regular. Red's Scratch Made comes highly recommended. I've been following them on IG for months and have been dying to give them a try. The cookie are delicious. I did 1 dozen assorted classic cookies and one specialty. I sampled each cookie we got and I'm so happy I made the drive up. The cookies are the perfect mix between chewy and crispy just what I like. They continued to fill the display case after each customer, so don't be afraid to ask if you don't see many of the cookies they have displayed. I was able to break my dozen up into 2 boxes because I was giving some to a friend. I will have to be making the drive up to Mooresville more often cause I can see me needing to try more of their cookie flavors! I have driven by here many times and based on the reviews decided to finally stop in. I was expecting more of a bakery like feel instead it felt like mom made too many cookies and just found a store to sell them out of. While there was a decent selection of cookies available they really didn't blow me away. The only thing that looked appealing was the funfetti sammich. The cookie has a good flavor to it and the filling while very sweet, it lends a nice balance to the chewiness of the cookie. The best cookies I've ever had are from this small bakery in a small town town. The classic cookies and the elevated flavors are just so well crafted and delicious. The bakery is clean and the cookie texture is close to perfect. They also have other treats from time to time like lemon bars, bread rolls, cinnamon rolls, cake cups, banana pudding. Each week starting Wednesday is like a new surprise treat. The summer/spring filed cookies are hands down my favorite. The lemon bars are also good but tart. This was my first time traveling out to Mooresville but definitely won't be my last. I stumbled across this place on a Tuesday late afternoon so it wasn't busy. The young lady at the counter was friendly and super knowledgeable about the business! The inside is cute and old fashioned it felt like I stepped back in time. I came in about mid day so they didn't have too many cookies left so I chose the Caramel pumpkin pie, Salted Butter chocolate chip, and original chocolate chip. I wasn't a fan of the caramel pumpkin pie one. I couldn't really taste much of the pumpkin because the caramel flavor was so strong. The salted butter chocolate chip one was by far my favorite! I don't remember how I stumbled upon this place on Instagram, but once I did, I knew I had to go. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately for my health), they're all the way in Mooresville which is no where near where I live. We were driving back from Ohio, so it was the perfect chance to stop by without it being too far out of the way. Covid-19: I was able to call ahead and order/pay over the phone. They emailed me an invoice and set aside my cookies for me. They were ready waiting for me when I got there. They were wearing masks and no one else was inside when I was there. Let's talk about these cookies. We went all out and got 4 different cookies: white chocolate sprinkles, snickerdoodle, Caribbean coconut, and brown butter peach. These are the best cookies in the Charlotte area in my opinion. They're also the best kept secret (only 3 Yelp reviews?!). The brown butter peach was definitely my favorite. It was one of their XL cookies with very rich frosting and filled with peach preserves. The snickerdoodle was my second favorite. They put cinnamon and white chocolate chips in it and I've never had one that good before. The other two cookies were also very good. The cookies were moist and full of flavor. They rotate the flavors all the time, so check out their Instagram or show up and get whatever they have that day. Do yourself a favor and drive to Mooresville just to try these cookies. We are new to NC and have been searching for different locations i.e restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores, health and beauty aids, entertainment, etc. for dining, shopping, and leisure. My daughter and I planned our weekend that included visiting Red's Scratch Made after seeing their business featured on Yelp. The drive to get there was nice and we got to learn a different route that will take us to a location we tend to frequent while running our errands. We are absolutely thrilled to inform you of how impressed we were when we walked into the business. The first thing that we tend to do is to be attentive to how clean a business is. We have actually walked in and done a 360 and walked out of a couple of dining locations either due to the smell or the uncleanliness of the premises. I am most pleased to say that Red's Scratch Made is immaculate. It's clean and well kept and no odor. We therefore had no hesitation to place our order, which were two strawberry swirl ice cream cups and 1/2 a dozen cookies. Needless to say, it was money well spent. The soft serve ice cream was very tasty. The strawberry swirl sorbet in the soft serve ice cream was quite complementary; we actually remained in the parking lot so that we can enjoy and savor the flavor. We could not wait until we got home to experience the cookies, which looked absolutely delicious, as shown in the Yelp photos. I am happy to say that once we arrived home, prepared our lunch and after we had eaten, we were able to enjoy the scrumptious delight of having the cookies. We started by sharing the snickerdoodle and the coconut crème pie and both were absolutely decadent!! The staff was quite pleasant and made our first experience welcoming.
