We have gotten takeout from here many times and always had a good experience. Calling in our order and getting and estimate for pick up time has always worked smoothly. The flavors are good, the quality of ingredients are good, but there is a strong possibility that your order may not be accurate. I would suggest checking your pizzas before leaving. The staff is nice but they can get really busy fast and so mishaps may occur. They are not intentional but still frustrating for the consumer. read more

I'm not really sure why the reviews for this location of Red's Savoy aren't better. We order from here a couple of times a year and are always content. Red's Savoy pizza is always good, we love their zesty sauce and the crust. The service here has always been friendly and prompt and the inside hasn't shown any cleanliness concerns. My only complaint is that which always is my issue with Red's Savoy is just that it's probably a little bit more spendy than I think it should be, but it's not too expensive to keep us away all the time for great pizza! read more

Red's is a local Minnesotan pizza chain that makes some awesome extra cheesy thin crust topping-filled pies. I don't know why it took me this long to try their pizza, but I'm so glad I finally did. We ordered pick-up from the Apple Valley location and were so pleased with our pizza. We got a large "Red's House Special" (about $24) which has a little bit of everything: pepperoni, sausage, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and green olives...what a beautiful creation. We were told it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. We got to Red's and my boyfriend came out with the pizza in about 2 minutes. It was ready right at pick up and the next thing ya know, we were on our way home with a hot and fresh pizza. It was amazing! I loved that the toppings are underneath the cheese and that the pieces are cut into small squares. Honestly, this is my favorite way to prepare/present pizza and I swear I can eat more of it this way. So many toppings and so much goodness! Red's does it 'Sota Style and they do a hell of a job. I would hands down order from here again! I know they recently got Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches here as well. The only small critique I have is that the employee over the phone sounded like he was ready to go home even though they had just opened...but with some pep in their step, Red's Savoy Pizza will sure be a hit! read more

The pizza at Red's is very good. My favorite is RED'S HOUSE SPECIAL: Savoy's Original Sausage, Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Green Peppers, Onions and Green Olives. When you eat in in-house they put it on a special tray that allows the crust to stay dry. If you take it home the crust becomes a little soggy. They only have a few tables to dine in. There was another party dining outside and Red's ran out of plastic plates. They also had trouble finding a serving spatula for the pizza. They need to buy more stock. Staff were friendly. They do have pizza by the slice at lunch time only. read more

We saw there was a Reds Savoy, which we were familiar with- As we had visited the St. Paul location decades ago, on a visit. When we moved here, our 1st night we ordered from Reds Savoy. It was amazing. Been getting pizza ever since. It's SO good you don't want to stop eating! The sauce, VERY high quality cheese- This is the best pizza in the land. I call them all the time to tell them how good it is, because good food- good pizza is rare. This is the best. By the way, it's not expensive!! I ordered from here 1 time. I eat pretty "clean" . Basically lean proteins and green vegetables and some complex carbohydrates. Once a week I allow myself a "cheat" meal. I was very excited to order a large pepperoni green pepper ZA. It arrived in a decent amount of time. Upon consuming the first piece I found that it was soooooooooooo salty I couldn't eat it. Ended up throwing it away. I'm assuming that the stoner cook making the sauce dumped waaaaay too much salt in it. Maybe thought the salt was sugar!? Not sure but it was disgusting. Not a very please take experience. I've always been a fan of the original savoys in St. Paul. I became a even bigger fan upon hearing the news of St. Paul's old mayor norm Coleman's dad being arrested in the parking lot for banging a hooker in his car. If I would have written this review after my first visit, they would have received one or two stars. First time was a week after they opened. We called ahead and pizzas were burnt and they remade and we waited over 30 minutes in the car. The pizzas were free and coupons for 2 more pizzas. They made good. The owner is a supporter of Apple Valley Baseball and contributed a nice donation and commitment for a team meal. Why the 4 stars? The pizza oven isn't as seasoned or older and the pizza although is really good, I like the Burnsville location better. read more

In town to visit family and wanted to try out some local pizza. The looks of it on the outside are a new hip style of pizza restaurant. Great clean restaurant inside with some seating. Plenty of options for gourmet pizza to try out. We ordered a pepperoni/sausage and a bbq chicken pizza. The BBQ chicken pizza was pretty good. Only thing is that it did take a while. After waiting for real long for our pizza to be made we discovered our order was never even started. They felt bad and said our order would be out in 10min and we got 2 free pizza tickets for the next time. I grew up on the East Side of St. Paul and Red's Savoy has always been a family fave! We have one in Apple Valley now along with the rest of the Twin Cities area. Tonight, our pizza tasted bad. Are they mixing something in the sausage that they shouldn't? It didn't taste right, almost like they add hamburger to stretch it or something. The cheese wasn't melty at all, actually kinda hard. We went for dinner with intent to eat at the restaurant. We ordered three different regular pizzas. Inside they had only hightop tables, outside had regular tables. They have no child highchairs. I've been going to Savoy's various locations for decades. I think it's some of the best pizza in the Twin Cities. Was excited to see this new location open in Apple Valley. However, I've been into this location about 3 times now over many weeks to buy a slice at lunch time, and each time I've gotten a slice that was not fresh and that was dried out from being in the warmer for too long. I keep giving them another try, but it has not gotten better. Mgmt here should teach their employees to toss slices that have been in the warmer too long and make fresh ones more often. See attached photo of the slice I got on my latest visit -- would you serve that? Would you want to eat that? They are not very busy here at lunchtime, so they are probably trying to cut costs with their slices and not throw any out until they are used up. But then you lose customers long term, like me, and they quit coming back. If you don't sell a full sausage pizza's slices before they get too old, then make a 1/2 sausage and 1/2 pepperoni pizza, for instance, and pull the slices from there, so they turn over more quickly. On the plus side, if you're ordering a full pizza, you probably won't have that problem. We ordered one full pizza to take out, and it was good, not great. It was overdone a bit on just one side/edge of the pizza, like their oven needs to be better adjusted. I hope this location can fix things soon. It's difficult to get a new restaurant location going, and so far, they haven't been nearly as good as the other Savoy locations I've been to, which do a much better job with their pizza. I hope they make it, but I'll give them a few more months to make improvements before I go back. read more

I ordered online and paid online then they called asking for a credit card and long story sort they don't know what they are doing with payment so I just spent over an hour on hold with my bank to ensure only one of the three pending charges will go through. This was the first time ordering from Red's Savoy Pizza we ordered a Large Hawaiian pizza with pineapple and mushrooms well done they forgot the mushrooms but they didn't charge use and they said they make it up to use if we order again we've ordered pizza from alot of places all the franchises This is one of the best tasting pizzas we've have in a very long time it looked good smelled good and tasted even better the pizza crust was perfect not to thick or thin the pizza sauce was the best very very very good tasting a little bit of spice but not hot just Wright we total price with delivery was not that bad about $23 with out the mushrooms we had 3 people eating and pizza is all gone we are definitely ordering again read more
