Yes, I know we all love Hoffmann and it is sacrilegious to say other wise. But here me out. Owner Tim makes all his menu items from scratch! His hotdogs, sausage patties, and sausage links! Oh, his condiments are all his creation as well. Ketchup , mustard, and relish all made from scratch by Tim! I asked Tim what he recommended I try on my first visit. He said definitely the chili dog. I was glad I did! Tim has a mixture of brisket and pork that he grinds, puts in a casing and then smokes. He than warms it back up on a flat top griddle at the stand. You definitely taste all the flavors that went into creating this dog! Thoughts after the first bite? Meaty and smoke! It's definitely one of a kind when you think of a hotdog. You definitely get that meat flavor with a hint of smokiness. The chili is meat based and sweet which blends in beautifully with the dog. The homemade mustered added a spice with a small kick. Complimenting the spice was the ketchup with hints of brown sugar sweetness and vinegar. Tim was a pretty cool guy to meet. Proud of his food and pretty chill wearing tie-dye and listening to some Dead tunes. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying some more of his home creations such as his shaved ribeye sandwich and sausage with peppers and onions. We can still throw our beloved Hoffmanns on the grill but for something a bit different stop over and try this delicious hotdog as well! You can find him in Abbott's parking lot Tuesdays - Fridays starting at 11:00am to 2:30pm.

I ordered a homemade hot Italian sausage patty and slathered it with homemade mustard and peppers and onions. I also had a hotdog, but unfortunately it wasn't one of Tim's homemade dogs which I was eager to try. The sausage sandwich was excellent. Good heat from the well seasoned sausage was amplified by a nice kick from the mustard. The peppers and onions were nice additions but I think next time I'll just enjoy the sausage and mustard by themselves. The dog was just a Hoffman's fried up on the griddle. Totally fine. Especially compared price wise with local competition. Totalled 8 bucks for an excellent lunch. My mouth is watering writing this review-the sausage is that good. Go try out Tim's, you won't be disappointed.

She relocated to Syracuse, NY and opened a Fried Dough stand at the market. She looks a little different though. She has a new husband and her daughter helps her out and they're really, super friendly. Anyone would think she had nothing to do with Eminem and that the daughter wasn't actually Hailie. But we know better. It's her. What to get: Fried Dough for $2 What else: I think my Dad's gone crazy I had the lemonade too, which was $1.50 and just okay. But let's focus on the star attraction. This is some of the best Fried Dough I've ever had. If you're up in Da Cuse and you want some Dough, this is the place to go. It's absolutely delicious and it's enormous! Basically for $2 they give you a huge long stick of dough (way bigger than even the biggest thingy, since you asked), and it's piping hot, greasy, juicy, fresh, delicious, and absolutely covered in cane sugar. I adore it. I'm not the biggest fan of some fried doughs, but this one is right up there with the best of them. It's made in a lot of places in WNY and CNY but I don't think anyone in this region makes it as well as Kim does. I'm so glad she left Eminem and opened up this place. And it's great that, at $2, you don't need a lot of Dough to get the Dough. So in the words of Homer Simpson: Dough!

Also, a whole fish is tasty too and comes with beans and rice! Congo Box has a good number of dishes although for us we keep going for what we love the most. Items such as chicken, tacos, stuffed meat dishes, etc. The one area of concern is the wait time. Congo's food is so regulars know it best to call in their order than await notice by phone when ready for pickup. If you place order at site than this where it becomes a problem. Basically, lamp chops, fish, maybe cooked upon order so the entire wait time can reach one hour. Congo serves all takeout meals. By choice we order on site and wait from time order until cooked and bagged for us. Call in your orders to get the best turnover time! #great food

It was fabulous as always. They kept the menu limited, which is understandable. All meal choices came with rice and beans. There was a choice of chicken, shrimp, or lamb chops. My friend chose the shrimp and I went with the lamb chops. The shrimp was very good, but the lamb chops were outstanding. You got two lamb chops Cooked to a smoky perfection. They were prepared medium well over a barbecue grill. Nothing but outstanding bite after bite. The rice was your basic white rice. It iwas cooked spot on. The beans were also excellent. If ever you're looking for something out of the ordinary, but not a gamble, this is your perfect spot.

Loved walking around downtown on an absolutely gorgeous summer day and checking out local makers. There was so much amazing art to enjoy, and I even bought a couple of prints. There was a whole section of a street giving out free food samples and another street of local food trucks with amazing eats. There's also a stretch of sidewalk where attendees can make chalk drawings, and the results were really cool. As with any downtown festival, it starts getting crowded as the day goes on. Even if you don't wind up buying anything, it's super cool to walk around and enjoy the art. Highly recommend checking out.

Makes it feel like a building at The State Fair rather than an arts and crafts festival. There are plenty of vendors, whether you are looking for pottery, photography, geeky prints, original art, woodworking, etc. Some are unique stops that you wouldn't see otherwise and worth the time but maybe not the thousands for the average attendee. So why 3 and not 4, because it isn't going to be worthwhile for many people, and it's not the best art show in the area (go to Plowshares) Don't be discouraged from attending if you have a free day. It's not a local showcase, but it can be a place one can purchase some prints. But if you are saving for a day of arts and crafts, this shouldn't be your first choice
