I tried this truck for the first time last year -- thought I'd come update my review, only to realize that I never wrote one! The first time, I caught them outside the Everson. This past time, at WT Brews in Baldwinsville. They're a super popular truck and if you catch them at events or festivals (or in general) there's always a line! I've had the classic lobster roll, which was super tender and buttery. Most recently, I opted for the lobster taco, a new item on the menu. It was loaded up with cabbage, chili lime crema, and of course meaty lobster claw pieces, and was the perfect consistency of crunch with mouth-melting mushy butteryness. Very filling, though the order came with only one taco. The staff seems really nice and friendly and the food quality is good. Since this is (good) seafood, this is one of the pricier food trucks, but you won't pay much lower for a lobster roll anywhere else either. Decent food, big price. Maybe it's just expensive to get lobster to Syracuse. It feels odd walking up to the truck when you've been up and down the east coast. It's a friendly staff, usually quick service, and the food is pretty good. But it's food is not much different from the shacks all around the coastline, which have such a different flair. I visited this food truck twice. Once at the fairgrounds for a big food truck rodeo and 2nd at the great northern mall parking lot. Both times I was blown away, this is the best lobster roll I've ever eaten! I ordered the warm lobster roll which is a toasted roll with lobster slathered in butter. The lobster meat is fresh and juicy. It is a bit pricey at $18 a roll but obviously lobster meat is expensive so I get it. I will say, they do stuff it and aren't stingy with the lobster meat so I don't mind paying the price. The wait sometimes can be daunting because they ALWAYS have a line but that just shows how good it is. I will try the cold lobster roll one day, I'll probably wait until it warms back up outside before I do though. Caught up with Bold Coast Lobster Co. food truck during a recent visit to Willow Rock Brewing(look for my review on them). I believe Bold Coast is a new addition to the Syracuse food truck scene as I don't recall seeing them during the summer of 2017. Anyways- their FB page/calendar lists many appearances at some of Syracuse's craft breweries(WT, IBU, Willow Rock and Eastwood). They offer a good selection of lobster and scallop dishes that will please most. I sampled from others in my group who ate from them, but both the lobster Mac N Cheese and the lobster roll sandwich were good in both taste and appearance. The members of my group were also satisfied with what they had ordered- including my wife(hence the 5 star review ).Food was cooked and delivered pretty quickly and service was very friendly. This is a food truck that advertises well, always seems to be somewhere and provides a good amount of lobster. Lobster prices have been high this summer but the cost of their dishes isn't crazy. I believe my Connecticut roll was $16-18, which I believe is pretty reasonable considering that 1. It's lobster and 2. There's a ton of lobster on the roll. Their menu is extremely simple but when your talking about north east seafood, simple is key. Appropriately priced fresh lobster rolls with lots of claw meat. They do both traditional and Connecticut style rolls (Connecticut is warm with butter instead of mayo) as well as a scallop bacon skewer on a roll. The scallops are huge and perfectly cooked. Their soups and chowders are excellent, best clam chowder in the area. The staff is super friendly, gave our dog a bacon treat (asked first of course.) this is also one of the few places to find Moxie soda in CNY..but that is very much an acquired taste.
