Lousy customer service! I could not find anywhere on the website that there is a limit of $150 value for free shipping to sell my items. I told the person I was corresponding with, that I plan on sending the sterling silver coins that I had taken photos of after going back and forth with several emails. I didn't hear back after two days, so I sent another email and I mentioned that I didn't get the shipping label to print out. Scammers, if the gold price drops after they guarantee a quote they will lowball you.. I sent in 12 grams of 14k tested and verified by multiple cash for gold stores in my area. I sent it in as they guarantee the best price I elected giving up 10% rather than 20% of my gold. Gold price went from 3500.00 to 3300, so instead of paying the amount agreed upon they say low grade 14k and offer less, claim item to be gold fill, which is absolutely untrue as mentioned tested and verified before I sent it. Warning...DO NOT send them any melted metal and agree to a melt test. If their XRF machine can't determine as they claim, request your metal back and find another avenue to sell. Don't settle.. Once your metal is altered by them, they will claim half purity and take you for half it's value. At that point, it's your word against theirs. They got me for over $500. I have some jewelry that I wanted to see what I could get for it. They refused to send me a kit and sent me an email which said they cannot accept my jewelry and did not give a specific reason why. I really would have appreciated whoever sent me that email a more detailed explanation as to why they chose to not accept my jewelry and they did not even see it! The first time I tried to use their service, they told me I had to have proof of a GIA certification for the gemstone. This is nowhere stated on their site! I feel this company needs to acknowledge on their site they can refuse to send a package for specific reason. This company does not have to worry about me ever using their services. There are far more places that are way better than ReDollar that are close to your home. You all saved me a headache by not sending me a kit! read more

Redollar has a satellite office in Denver we got hooked up with through our jewelry appraisers after having our appraisers look over jewelry from my parents' estate. We contacted Redollar and went through their process with silver flatware, jewelry, gold Krugerands, gold from jewelry, etc. They gave us a great price and were very professional in their explanations on what we really had and how it would sell. They explained the amazing equipment they use to determine what items were made out of and gave some simple tests we could do at home to determine what was real silver, what wasn't, etc. They discussed items we had at home that we determined were NOT the real silver the items had been sold to my parents as being. Redollar gave us ideas to dispose of many items we have and with their world-wide contacts in their business (like the one they have with our jewelry appraisers) pointed us to other business to contact for other items we have that Redollar doesn't work with like books, dolls, etc. Great doing business with Redollar.
