Hundreds of jewelry stores in one building! My fiancé and I were looking for jewelry stores to shop for our wedding bands and our friend recommend that we go to this building and shop around. This building is located in downtown but has security guards standing out front and walking throughout the building, making us feel safe. There is nearby garage parking. No appointments needed, just walk in and shop around from store to store. The prices were much better than online or popular franchise jewelry stores. We ended up getting our rings at Freddy's Jewelry Store and were very satisfied with the service and our purchase! There is valet parking or parking lots very close if you don't want to valet, armed security at all times and people are always very friendly. read more

The Seybold Building: A Place of Nightmares This is literally the unhappiest place on earth. For some reason, the entire patch of concrete this building resides on is home to the largest community of mentally unstable homeless people I've ever encountered. They sit along the sidewalk and yell both at you and themselves as you walk by, making every trip to the Seybold more frightening than the last. The strong smell of urine decorating the outer walls is a nice addition too. The parking is particularly horrible, and the worst I've seen in downtown. Whether you are in for 20 seconds or 2 hours, you just valet at the small small cost of your arm, leg, and first born child. Perhaps these are all things that can be dismissed if the contents of the building were phenomenal, but alas, that is not the case. While the stores here do have a much better price and selection than your average commercial jeweler, in the end it probably comes out to the same because you will continue to travel here twice a month to drop off and pick up your ring for a number of reasons. From the time I received my ring in February 2016, to today, June 2016, I have had to travel to the building not one, not two, not three, but more than 6 times worth of pick up and drop off. Do the math. That's $60 in parking alone before tip in under 4 months. The diamonds in the pave of my ring keep falling out, and they finally told me this last visit that it must be MY fault that this is happening. They rudely asked me WHAT I DO FOR A LIVING. I wanted to tell them how I bang my ring against walls for a living, but alas I just design graphics for dog shows on my computer from home, as well as groom dogs for which I remove my ring. I have a diamond ring on my opposite hand that I've been wearing for 4 years without removal and I've never had an issue so this is clearly a quality problem. I hate that I dread wearing my beautiful ring in fear of it coming apart. I don't care what you say, if I'm paying thousands of dollars for a tiny ring, it better last. Do yourself a favor and get a ring somewhere close to you for the extra money. You won't regret it. Or, you can be like me and just consider moving into the building with the other homeless folks because I've wasted all of my time and money driving back and forth to the Seybold building. read more
