Workmen dragged full wheelbarrows of concrete mix from the front of our house to our backyard. They…read moredid this for days so they made a deep trench in the grass between our house and our neighbor's. We texted pics of the damage to our neighbor with a promise to lay sod as soon as the work was completed. Finally! The work is completed. Whoo hoo! I knew to buy sod from Nu-Turf because I've done so a couple of times through the years. They are really nice guys and their St. Augustine sod is hearty. You can see it's grown in rich soil - look at the pics of the underside of the sheets of sod! We didn't even have to go to their shop to get great service. They make it easy - we actually called them on Monday, enroute to go shopping, to arrange for half of a pallet to be delivered to our house on Saturday. We weren't sure if we needed a full pallet and the guy who we spoke with told us that half of a pallet has about 40 pieces. That'd do it! We ordered half of a pallet ($135). There's a $45 delivery fee and a $6 pallet deposit fee so we'll return the pallet this week. They delivered the sod with no problem. They even asked us where we wanted the pallet dropped - we chose the swale between two main areas needing sod so we didn't have to go far to lay the sod. The sod sheets are approximately a foot and a half by two feet. We had enough to fill in the trench from the wheelbarrow, the dead zone where pallets of pavers sat on our front lawn and other bald work areas around the property. The product is great. The price is right. The guys were easy to work with and consultative. Don't you love it when companies come through for you? Years ago the guys in the shop turned me on to a retractable rake and plant hormone - I still use both and think that if I didn't shop at Nu-Turf I would have lost out on having insight about what to use and how to use it. This is an update based on the owner's response. It has been a year since our turf was installed…read moreand we still have flooding on our porch and in our garage. Since the owners claim was our gutters and door were the problem.. I have included a video taken this morning after the storm we had last night, luckily we've only a few major storms, and I've only occurred flooding in the garage 4-5 times this year. Our gutters and door are less than a year old. TO BE CLEAR - We NEVER experienced flooding SO it was NOT an ongoing issue!!! (As claimed) We decided to look into having this fixed by another company. After having 3 companies come out, we were left with the same result. We were told this is an installation and/or drainage issue - as in not enough drainage was installed. In order to fix it, the entire project would need to be redone. Which brings me back here today. I was glad to see in the owner's reply that there is a 3 year warranty on his work. I look forward to HIM reaching out to us to explain what he will do to resolve this issue. My understanding from these other companies is that the turf will need to be removed. The ground will need to be releveled lower then up against the doorframe and likely more or better drainage installed. I look forward to hearing from Anthony soon As for the suggestion of adding pavers to our porch. With all due respect, I would never pay more to fix an issue that wasn't a problem before their work was completed

Professional team and such great work ! Couldn't be happier with the project of the side yard for the play area for our house/son. It makes such a difference too ! Very clean and it's been 2+ months and still just as good as the day it was installed. For the play area side we chose the middle one and for the other side of the house we chose the lower end as it is just AC unit. Both look and feel great and have a nice quality. Not too prickly/hard and has a soft touch so you can easily walk or play barefoot. Easy to clean with taking a hose to wash off and even if something is sitting on the turf for awhile, once removed, the turf pops back to its original fluff. But they've been back so many times I don't want them back. Stuff is still messed up and I just fixed it myself. The original and subsequent installation failed so badly after a few weeks that they had to be redone not once, but twice. After the grass was peeling up and flapping in the wind while cleaning with a blower, I was told not to use a blower to clean the grass. When they came back for the third time, they used a Portland cement mixture to adhere the grass, as I now understand is proper. When I asked why they only used nails and boards before, I was actually told "because it's easier". They missed a whole section of grass in the installation, which they had to come back for, and they also messed up the driveway gate cover by installing boards around it. I've had another contractor out to install more grass and I now see what a mess this was. I wouldn't use Instagreen again.
