These amazing people gave my car as they say in the biz, a full motor transplant. After talking to…read morea dozen places around detroit, in ohio, and one in georgia they were the first shop to find me a brand new motor. It's a fairly common motor, and is also unfortunately known to commonly fail. Somehow these saints knew where to find a brand new motor for my beloved car. Not a refurbished one with 35k miles, but brand NEW. These good people knew how to give me the actual peace of mind that only comes from a NEW engine. This is a really fantastic family-run shop. I am ignorant to actually understanding how a car runs. In the past I've almost had panic attacks when it very unrealistically seems like everything in my car is just going to fail all at once. This time was different. These saints didn't let me get close to feeling like that. These kind people VERY gently reminded me that only my engine was new. And even more gently they reminded me that the rest of the car already has 64k miles on it. This husband and wife really didn't need to be as patient with me as they were, and I'm extremely grateful that they were. I'm going to confidently assume that if Cars of Novi can find me a brand new motor when no one else in three states could, they can probably also find your unique car's unique parts that need to be replaced. I am also exceedingly appreciative that they brought both my car and myself back to life. Based off what i have experienced, I'm confident that Cars of Novi will also do a great break job, oil change, or whatever else you need qualified mechanics to do for you. Thank you all again!

This shop merely holds state certification--the bare minimum for safety--yet charges more than ASE-certified professionals, while delivering way below substandard service. I was so surprised by the fraudulent behavior of the over the counter staff, specifically the old man and his son Mohammad, engaged in what I consider to be deceitful behavior and their business practices are steeped in lies and dishonesty at this so-called Tel Ford Service mechanic shop. I initially visited their shop for a simple fuel pump replacement, a task that should have been straightforward. However, they deliberately sabotaged the brand-new part I had personally purchased, forcing me to buy an identical one from them at an exorbitant $567 markup. To add insult to injury, they charged me an additional $300 in labor fees. The old man initially promised to source a superior pump directly from the manufacturer, with the expectation of improved quality justifying the higher price. However, it became clear that he had simply ordered the same Napa Auto Parts pump that I had originally provided (the one he had vandalized). When confronted, he refused to speak with me directly, instead sending his son as an intermediary to feign ignorance. In the end, I was swindled out of over $860 beyond the original estimate. I think this mechanic shop is a den of thieves, and I urge others to avoid them at all costs. Few days later, I had to revisit them for a rattling sound came from the area supposedly repaired part, well within their work warranty. His son then had the audacity to suggest a $75 diagnosis fee, with no acknowledgment of their own error. The bottom line, if you value true excellence and professionalism, seek out an ASE-certified mechanic and avoid this mediocre mechanic shop. This shop merely holds state certification--the bare minimum for safety--yet charges more than ASE-certified professionals, while delivering below substandard service.

They just had a hard time with this tire. When he called this place, the man told him $220, then would call back and change the price and say $ 300, and he would have to get corrected by being told you just told me $220. Then the man would say, "Oh yeah, right, $220. Mind you, this is only for 1 tire. I think that's way too much for 1 tire, but anyways, the car ended up being in the shop for 1 day (to change a brake for one tire). The man called in the morning and said, "These are the wrong brakes and rotors, so I used mine and changed the other one in the front as well, so it's gonna be $450 now." Auto Zone helped find the correct brakes and rotors for the car and even so NOBODY TOLD YOU TO DO THAT. Soon as the car is being driven back home, it starts to smoke. Now the coolant is empty (never ever had this broken before), so had to go to the gas station to get something for it, poured some into the car, and drove a little down, and it's smoking again and the coolant back empty, so it's a leak. I called the man multiple times once the car started smoking and he's denying everything.

I've been going here for a couple of years since my other repair shop is always too busy to get…read moresomething done the same day. Alas, even Showcase is sometimes too busy for same day service lately. They are now on both sides of 14 Mile Road, Body Shop on the South, Auto Repair on the North. Kip is the guy behind the counter that I almost always deal with at the Auto Repair, I've never had Collision or Body repair. They seem to pride themselves on only quoting on what needs to be done and will advise if it's not worth it. They inspect the job before beginning the work. I find their prices very reasonable. They have a coupon in the local newspaper for $199 complete brake job per axle that I can't beat anywhere else. They let me provide my own parts if I want (of course they only warranty their labor, not my parts) and I find sometimes this saves a lot of money over the repair places that seem to charge double or triple what parts actually cost. Nice if you know in advance you need a specific part replaced and can wait for an online order. All in all I've never had any problems with any work they've done and I think they give me the best prices of any place I've been to. Thanks Kip.
