We had booked her and thought we were all set but due to unforseen circumstances... we had to postpone the wedding by a year, sometime in early 2009, Kelly was at the Discovery Bay Country Club involved with one of the wedding shows and I was able to get wonderful ideas from her arrangements for my sister wedding. The wedding came and Kelly was there bright and early with all the flowers. Everything came out so perfect. The bouquets and the table arrangements were flawless in my eyes. Kelly made sure to adhere to my vision for the decor, and took a lot of time after our initial meeting to make sure and promptly answer all of my questions about every detail of the arrangements and bouquets so I had a clear idea of how things would look. Kelly was also very patient throughout the process, as I needed to make many adustments between our initial meeting and the wedding. She was very respectful of my budget, and was flexible in helping me find the price range I was comfortable with, while still keeping my vision for the decor of the wedding.

She worked with me on my backyard wedding ceremony in August 2020 and grand wedding reception at the Academy of Sciences in August 2021 taking every curveball the pandemic has thrown our way without batting a lash. My fiancé (at that time) and I weren't ready for a MEX-FIL grand wedding but still wanted to have a small gathering to celebrate our union. We met that Nov at starbucks Sunvalley Mall, and I knew right away that she was the perfect person for us. Me and Omar did get married on May 2018 thru the courthouse and fast forward to early March of 2019, we decided to actually plan for our big wedding which was set on June 6, 2020. Throughout the planning process, we met Danny (Janelle's husband and also part of Visionary Events and Designs team) they are both super talented and supeeeer nice and we just all get along very well, which made this whole wedding journey soooo much better! From creating our vision boards to our meetings which I alwayssss look forward to, Janelle & Danny made sure me and Omar (the groom-zilla) compromise in every decision we make. They are very neutral, explained pros and cons of every lil detail, mind you, there are details that we won't even probably think of until it was all laid down to us. The amount of details from planning a wedding is unbelievable. Which is why we appreciate them a loooot, like A LOT. Unfortunately, COVID hit and we had to postpone our wedding...... not only once but 3X!!! TBH, I seriously do not know what I'd do without Janelle during this time. The mixed of emotions from postponing to the stress of how things are uncertain. She took care of contacting each vendors and moving dates, made sure everything lined up. New ownership had no clue how to run a club, so they asked a management company to take over... we thought "hey this might work"... NOPE; it got even worse. They let go our PGA pro because she was a female and the interim GM was extremely misogynistic. To make up for this and not be sued, they hired another female head pro... she's really nice. The Interim Gm is now back to being the Course Superintendent..... not very good at that either... dead spots in every fairway, tee boxes are round mounds of incline or decline, hard pack in bunkers, weeds in the fairways where grass should be, people even have signs on their back fences begging them to fix the grass, our driving range is supposed to be grass most of the time... better to call it "on weeds" than "on grass". We haven't had club wide tournaments in a long time - only men's, or women's club events... nothing club wide for everyone. The food was AMAZING... 5 years ago... We used to be able to get some great food after a round but now we get half a$$ed dishes. Ordered a burger in the bar and the patty was a frozen thin puck of leather... sent that back. They used to have the best chicken fingers, now their chicken tenders here are worse than wal-mart -- seems they order the same ones that chili's does for the kids meals. They had a special "potato skins" added one day... that photo is below... they were potato wedges with barely any cheese, mushy and sad. Same tired sh1t on the menu every weekend. The F&B Manager is lacking and doesn't seem to know how to run a bar. She removed all the member's favorite beers and wines from the club. She treats her employees that have been here longer than her like they don't know anything about what the membership wants. Events at the club have declined as well - no more new years events, member events start at 5pm on Wednesdays... if you commute, don't expect to make it, no more concerts, haven't had a prime-rib & lobster night in years. The response when we ask about anything -- "thanks for your feedback". Really the only thing keeping our membership here is the staff in the bar. We love the bartenders and the wait staff. The Management are running the course and club into the ground.
