I had a similar experience to the other reviewer. This was the first time we've ever been through the home selling process, so we needed guidance and expertise. In hindsight, we chose poorly. The Redfin agent we were assigned did not know our area at all and insisted we could get a much higher price for our house than we thought it was worth (given comps and size and redistricting issues). But we trusted the professional. Then the listing and open house we had insisted be scheduled for mid-summer (so we could catch the busy season) was delayed until August because the photographer didn't get the photos ready. The house sat for weeks at too high of a price, and next to no marketing was done outside the Redfin app. In the end, we gave up on Redfin, found a true local agent, and had an offer 24 hours after that listing went live. You get what you pay for - go elsewhere if you're selling! I'd use them as a buyer's agent only if you know the area you're targeting. read more
