Was on a trip to Tallahassee recently and needed a spot to grab a quick lite bite and coffee as well as a good spot to get some work done. RedEye Coffee delivered! They have an interesting and inventive specialty coffee menu. I decided to try something different than my normal and got a sage white chocolate sage latte. The barista warned that it was an unusual flavor that some people really love and some aren't such fans of. He had never tasted the latte before but mentioned it smelled like pizza. So, that latte sorta does also have a flavor reminiscent of pizza. I was not a fan but it wasn't so bad that I wasn't willing to drink it (the barista was lovely and offered to make me something else, but I declined). So, while I didn't love that one, I'm eager to give their rosemary caramel latte a try the next time I'm in! For my breakfast, I got their avocado everything toast. It's a delectable combo of mashed avocado, cream cheese, tomato slices, everything bagel seasoning atop toasted sourdough bread with a drizzle of balsamic reduction. It was as good as it sounds! Hands down this is the best coffee shop I have yet to find in the Tallahassee community. Not only was the service great when we had questions or asked for recommendations but the coffee was phenomenal. The baristas were happy to let us know what they thought was the best options along with making sure we were happy after the fact. We ended up trying the Caramel Vanilla Latte which was perfect and the Mexican Mocha Latte which was different in the best way possible. The Mexican Mocha we order with hesitation but were reassured after trying it leaving more than happy come the end of the day. Red Eye has become my personal new favorite coffee shop and I can assure you we will be returning to try other house Lattes and their extensive food menu. read more

I went to RedEye Coffee twice while stay in Tallahassee. Once I got cold brew and the other time I got Americano. Both drinks were okay. The shop has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Also this shop can be hard to get to because it was on a small street. It was pretty easy for me to find parking but I can see it being a problem during the day. The people working were friendly. I forgot to get the receipt one day and called them the next day and they were happy to text it to me. Overall, its a nice alternative to other coffee shops in the area. read more

The good news is that there are many tables and many outlets scattered around the perimeter - it was definitely planned for lots of laptop charging and to be used as a workspace. I got a lavender latte with oat milk, which tasted alright. It wished it was hotter. My wife got a golden tea drink with oat milk. She strongly disliked it! It tasted like play-dough. I understand that my drink may be somewhat unorthodox but I dont appreciate being charged for a milk based drink when I ordered a water based drink. I have driven past this this shop located in the heart of Midtown off of fifth. When you walk in, the shop is much bigger looking on the inside than what it looks on the outside. There is outdoor seating in a somewhat shaded area. I ordered a large Caramel Vanilla Latte Hot. That costs $5.25 with tax. Also, I grabbed the very big chocolate muffin $3.25 and cheese danish $3.25 as they were calling my name. The latte was made quickly even with it being busy. I am so happy I pulled into this great coffee shop as the Caramel Vanilla Latte was delicious. I will definitely be back to try one of those lavender coffees and I saw a jalapeño cold brew that needs to be checked out. read more

Since moving to Tally, I've come to Redeye several times. I love it! I'm big on flavored iced lattes during the summer, and they've made it perfectly EVERY time!! The staff has an upbeat, positive attitude and willingness to explain anything on the menu. I would recommend commuting here by bike or walking since the parking lot is very limited. Other than that, you'll love it here. I've done a lot of studying here and they have several outlets near every table to charge up devices. read more

Another great RedEye coffee location! I love that we have another coffee option on this side of town, especially with such a high concentration of coffee shops in the College Town area. I love Lucky Goat, but it's such always so full on the weekends and we needed another place to go! So thank you RedEye for branching out! It's a good sized space for either getting work done on your laptop or enjoying a relaxing conversation. I usually grab a cold brew with a shot of espresso or a cuban coffee and then plonk down with my computer. There's even a cute little fireplace, if you want to read with nice ambience. I will say though that the food is only ok. My bagel and lox last time was a bit fishy and the BLT was pretty small for the price. So just be forewarned if you plan to have breakfast here too. This is a covid review of their "Breakfast Club." With many of us only wanting to to take-out or curbside, Red Eye has us covered! They have partnered with Street Chefs, a local food truck/caterer, to offer a Breakfast Club. Each week they pick a different location to bring fresh cooked goodness and wonderful beverages to your door. Place your order by Wednesday and it will be delivered to your door on Friday. And if you are not in their neighborhood that they will be serving that week, have no fear: you can place an order to pick it up! We ordered the Hakuna Frittata filled with meat, some cinnamon rolls filled with bacon, and a jug of cold brew. It showed up right on time and they have amazing customer service: you can track them online via the link in email, and they will text/call you when they have delivered! Perfect! Everything is pre-cooked and just needs to be heated (20 min for frittata, 10 for cinnamon roll). And everything heated up perfectly...just like we were being served fresh from initial cooking. The frittata was amazing, and can easily serve 4. The cinnamon rolls can also serve 2 each (but you almost certainly want your own) and were warm and gooey. The coffee was the outstanding Red Eye cold brew. For a little over $30 we had breakfast delivered that will feed us for two mornings. I am so glad that they are doing this, and am happy to help 2, small local businesses. read more

Attention: Redeye serves Cuban coffee! This place was recommended to me by a friend who said it was a great place to do work or study while sipping on some tea or coffee. Yes, that's pretty much what everybody sitting here is doing whenever I'm there so this seems more like a work place than anything else. The coffee is really good. Their menu is pretty big and they have some good free-trade coffee options. I was most impressed that they have Cuban coffee and their cortadito is excellent. They also have the option to have almond or soy milk which I love since I usually get my coffee with almond milk. Really convenient place with delicious coffee. Win-win. read more
