Gail, and the rest of the teachers at ADF, are second to none! The classes are challenging but also great for all levels. I danced through high school and college, and tried returning elsewhere shortly after, but nothing really stuck. Since being at ADF I have improved as a dancer more in a year than I feel I have throughout my whole career. Gail even helped me get back into pointe shoes after a ten year hiatus! The studio, teachers, and other students create a very welcoming, warm, and non-judgmental environment conducive to emotional and physical growth as a dancer and human overall. Great opportunities, FANTASTIC STAFF, and a wide variety of classes and workshops. I LOVE ADF!!!!!

Her combinations are both challenging and fun to dance--in my 35+ years of ballet classes, her combinations have provided some of the most enjoyable choreography I've danced. It is a true joy to work with her.

The music selections that are used are nowhere near true to bachata clásico. I have tried attending their classes at both Ritmo Room and at Bar Vegan but neither are impressive. They should be embarrassed to call themselves a Latin dance venue. No one should even consider attending unless they find a real instructor who can ACTUALLY dance. Shame too because the venues are very nice. Long story short, if you get to the class and the instructor says her name is Annie, just go home and don't waste your time or money.

The staff all are extremely engaged, the studio is really clean, and the coaching quality is exceptional. How am I the first person to review The Yoga Loft? I barely do yoga…read more That said, I started coming to this studio a couple of months ago, and since then have attended several classes. So while I may not have a good feel for the breadth of this studio's offerings, I certainly have enough experience with the place to share some thoughts. Quick story. For the past few years I've been having some trouble with my back. Nothing serious. Just muscle strain. But my wife was tired of hearing me complain about it, and I was tired of complaining too. Our collective thought was that the stretching and core strengthening of yoga might be just the thing I needed. But I had never done yoga before. And my flexibility was abysmal. Forget about touching my toes, I can barely touch my knees. So my wife found a few local studios that had a gentle yoga class. The Yoga Loft was one of them. And it just so happens that not only did the class fit well into my calendar, this studio just happens to be in the same building as my favorite cheesemonger. Done. And done. So I ran out and bought a yoga mat and some yoga pants. Now I'm doing yoga, and I like it. This class in particular focuses on making sure participants aren't overdoing it. Mary encourages her students to check-in with their bodies periodically, and offers alternatives to the poses just in case things get too intense. I love that. And I love how I feel after each class. I still can't touch my toes. But I think I'm getting closer to my knees. And without a doubt, this class is starting me down a healthier path. Well, at least a path with greater flexibility and maybe core strength. Because the health benefits from the class may be slightly diminished by my lunches at the cheese store next door. Which sometimes include an afternoon beer. Yoga followed by amazing cheese and great beer? That's my kind of exercise program.

It takes about 3 classes for kids to warm up but my child really enjoys, singing and dancing. Its a great introduction to rhythm, melody, ethnic and heritage songs and different meters. Their favorite part of class is when Matt dumps out a big pile of instruments for them to explore. The class is a little loud and overstimulating for me as an adult at times but I really enjoy doing this with them. This will be our 3rd session. I also appreciate Matts laid back deamenor and flexibility. Sometimes my kid is acting up but Matt will dance with them or work to include them in the class more.
