The tastiest, most succulent burger I have ever had the pleasure of consuming was courtesy of Redbox. Memories of that burger still haunt my subconscious sometimes, when hunger paws at my stomach after a busy or tiresome day. However, upon my return to the scene of the aforementioned triumph of food preparation, I was treated to a rather dismal Salmon Turkish bread toasty. My companion confirmed that her burger was also considerably less satisfying than the food has been on our previous visit. Thus I face the conundrum of many reviewers: do I heap praise for the memory of the first luscious dining experience, or criticise the poor sophomore performance? Inconsistency is a menace. The problem may soon be combated, given the recent addition of a sign in the window requesting a new part time chef apply within.
On the whole, Redbox is a nice low key and unpretentious dining experience. The prices are cheap, the menu basic but satisfying, and the beers relatively cheap. The service is friendly, and they let you do split bills. They also do all day breakfast on weekends and public holidays, if you're into that sort of thing. Let's hope third time's the charm for me. read more
