I've been to a few other Harkins Theatres including the one in Ahwatukee and Chandler Fashion Center and this one by far is the most mediocre one. For one, the theatre I was in was one of the smaller ones and the seats were just regular seats. I've been quite spoiled with very luxurious, plush and super comfy recliners at the other Harkins Theatres, so that was a bit of a letdown. What I did like about this Harkins is their bar lounge and it was the first time I had a beer at a Harkins, wow! It wasnt cheap and there were no happy hour specials but I was still pretty excited to watch a movie with an adult beverage vs a soda. It was also dinner time, so I ordered some chicken fingers. Both beer and chicken fingers were solid. Bar is really nice and honestly too bad not many people taking part in it. Bathrooms were clean and theatre was ok, smaller than I would like with more traditional seats. Maybe my fault I chose a less popular film that only had one showing per day. Movie wasn't bad, worth a watch with some good dialogue, all great actors. Ella McCay probably a good Lifetime movie honestly. Im glad I saw it and Jamie Lee Curtis's performance was pretty good! I dont know I would come back to this theatre again as a bit too far, but it was good to experience when I came.

Came with residents from my neighborhood via Archwell to see the newest Mission Impossible movie. I had Birthday Perks to use via my membership which was a plus! This place is always clean & tidy & I love seeing the latest & classic movies here!

I'm giving this AMC theater in Mesa 4 stars. The seats were comfortable, and overall the theater experience was really enjoyable. My only complaint is that I wish the armrests were removable because they take up quite a bit of space with not much space to set purses. I did grab a glass of wine at the bar, and the pricing caught me off guard--$20 for a 5 oz pour of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc. Since a full bottle was $50, a friend and I split one for $25 each, which was definitely the better deal. Still, $20 for a small pour is more than what a full bottle costs at the grocery store. But I get it--it's like buying water at Costco vs. a gas station vs. the airport. Prices go up depending on where you are. Overall, I had a great time, enjoyed the movie, and would definitely come back again.

This use to be one of my favorite theaters because of the service and value. But now, the value is gone and the service is REALLY gone. They have no one working here except for a couple of guys handing you your cups and popcorn. There is almost zero human interaction and to be completely honest, it sucks. Then when you get into the theater they are scrolling commercial after commercial, which is fine, because I'm early and it's not even time for the movie to start. But then the previews start and they have a couple, THEN A COMMERCIAL, then they have a few, THEN A COMMERCIAL, and so on. Again, it would be fine except they advertise the movie to start at 8:00 but it doesn't ACTUALLY start until about 8:30 and that might not be something you plan for? Anyway, the seating is ok. Like they are individual but every two has a movable divider in case you're there with a date and want to sit close. They are comfortable enough I guess but they did seem a little worn. Now for the pricing, the ticket prices are out of control here which is probably why there's so few people in the seats (I would say 10% full) and the concessions? C'mon now, this is probably why they can afford to have mostly empty theaters, because the profit margin on these things HAS to be about 1000% and that's not even an exaggeration. $10 for a medium popcorn for example is just stupid. Anyway, at least I enjoyed the movie because WOW, had that been bad, I would feel like I just threw $65 in the trash after buying two tickets, two medium drinks, and one medium popcorn. They aren't MUCH better but I think I'll stick to Harkins since they originally are a local company, have better prices, and still DO have some human interaction.
