Not to many things annoy me more than terrible customer service. I walked around the entire store today and was not even given the common curtsey of a simple greeting by any of the employees. It was maddening and I chose to leave. The shoes came highly recommend by a co-worker, but with service this poor it makes very little difference about the quality of the product. read more

We enjoyed the museum and learning about the history of Red Wing shoes. We bought 4 pairs of shoes and loved the Outlet Section downstairs. The Red Wing staff were great and friendly, yet not pushy. We took pictures of the Worlds Largest Boot and posted it on Facebook which got lots of comments from our friends and family. read more

Excellent selection, and great shoes! The help is very attentive as well. Everyone who visits Red Wing should get a pair of Red Wing Shoes at the origin! read more

Love the quality of a hometown Minnesota boot store. The items are quite pricey but the products look worth every Penny. There is the worlds biggest boot inside the store and plenty of home town Red Wing shirts to choose from. Don't think that Red Wing boots is the only brand to choose from, there are a few more. Have fun! read more

The flagship store of Red Wing Shoes. The biggest shoe in the world was neat, but the prices were expensive. Give people a reason to come to Red Wing and visit your store. How about some decent prices? Is there a factory outlet somewhere? read more

My father's Red Wing Shoes have lasted him since he graduated high school in 1965. That pretty much sums it up.

It was really cool seeing "the world's largest boot" and the free museum upstairs was interesting for being the history of a single company's product. They also have a few museum-worthy pieces spread throughout the store. Lots of nice souvenirs that are a bit over priced but you can't expect differently from what is predominantly a shoe store. It's a must-stop for any visitors. read more

No service, nobody talked to me. Guess they don't want to sell boots to guys that need good boots for work.

This store has the best salespeople. Very knowledgeable, awesome service. Great boots.

Great shoe store with good quality shoes. Travis was a great help and went the extra mile to make sure my shoes fit well.

Do you need hiking boots or work boots? This is the place they feature a museum inside with the worlds largest boot! The middle is a regular retail store, basement is the outlet/clearance center tons of great deals shoes that are 30-70%off read more

I purchased a pair of Red Wing 510's about 4 years. I use them occasionally. When I tried to use them on Monday, November 10th, I noticed that the rubber soles were completely deteriorated. I went to the only Red Wing store here in Corpus Christi, Texas and the not so friendly owner told me that he could ship them off to Minnesota, but there would be a shipping charge , along with the charge to repair them. He told me the cost would be over $100.00, plus shipping. The floor salesman told me, "I guess it's time for a new pair of boots, would you like to try a pair on?" I told him no, if Red Wing cannot stand behind their product, why should I buy another pair. I have been a Red Wing customer since 1979. I am having my boots repaired by a local shoe repair shop. The shoe repair man told me that this is not the first time he has had to repair Red Wing Boots. He has had many customers complaining about the soles of the 510 boot from Red Wing. He is repairing them for me and will have them ready for me on Monday, November 17th. The cost will be $68.00 and no shipping fee. I would like for you to respond to me, a very unsatisfied Red Wing customer. Thank you, Ruben Pompa Corpus Christi, Texas read more

Maybe I'm partial, but they really do make and sell the best shoes and boots. You have to see the new store and the "Worlds Largest Boot" in the museum section. read more

Just head for the basement outlet sale section to get the very best deals. I found a pair of very well made service shoes for $53, over twice what I'd pay for work shoes at a Payless or Walmart, but these shoes are made of leather and they are very well constructed and are probably going to last 5 times longer than any cheapo pair of shoes you could buy at a discount store. You might pay more initially for quality, but quality overs value over the long term and will actually cost you less than having to replace inferior cheap shoes several times a year. The only problem I had with the outlet store was the fact that over 90% of the shoes were size 7 or smaller, with a lot of them being size 5. If you are a tiny footed service industry person, this would be your Nirvana. As someone with a clodhopper closing in at size 9.5, there were only about 5 pairs of shoes in the sale section for me. There were also some very well made athletic shoes but some of the color combos were just too garish or too boring and so while they were obviously well made, not a shoe I'd buy, but hey, you might like 'em. read more

Customer service is horrible. I bought boots to be shipped out to a family member in another part of the US. Boots never arrived. Followed up with store; staff was indifferent and ill-equipped in customer service skills to get resolved. read more

I bring all out of town guests here and they all enjoy the experience. I do have friends who come from Alaska and part of their trip is a pilgrimage to buy RW boots. If you are visiting don't miss it. read more

Bought a pair of Red Wing Irish Setter work boots. Within a few weeks the stitching came apart. Red Wing did replace them. Now 1 1/2 years later the soles are coming apart from the shoe. I only wear these shoes 6 months a year. Contacted Red Wing about warranty replace or repair and they informed their warranty on this shoe for defects and craftsmanship is for all of 6 Months. Wow not even a year. That is some belief in a product. Look elsewhere. I am going to LL Bean where customer satisfaction on products rules. read more

Got some great shoes. Wonderful fit and made of leather not that cheesy plastic so many of the import shoes are made from nowadays.

For a company that advertises itself as the quality working shoe manufacturer, they don't back it up with product or service. A brand new pair of boots purchased at the Redwing MN store fell apart on the first lace up. The hook eyes pulled out and were obviously not manufactured correctly. I sent pictures ; receipts; and made phone calls (5) to the store and the corporate customer service, and even spoke to the corporate head of customer service he took the call only once). They never returned the call or offered a replacement. Finally, AMEX took the complaint and they too got no response. They refunded my purchase price, but that only says something about AMEX...not Red WIng Shies. read more

My husband has been wearing redwing shoes for 30 years. He has refused any other shoe, however now his latest shoes are having the rubber coming off the soles. This has never happened before, only problems before is he wears them so much he wore the soles down, which is normal. I remember when he bought them in Vegas, the store said now that these are made out of USA-But it still says on the web site. Most are still hand made in USA-How do we buy only these and not made out of our country. Any helpers? read more

I walk every day with the job I have. Needless to say, the pair of boots I had fell apart in less than 90 days. I never take the time to write reviews, and hate negativity, but I just want to warn others to save your money. Being $180 boots is simply outrageous. You can get the same, or better, value for a $60 boot at Sports Chalet or Big 5. Don't waste your money. When I spoke with Red Wing, they could have cared less. read more

I have worn only Redwing boots for 10+ years. I have one specific model that I love and even by an extra and rotate, in case of that model boot being dropped or changed. Recently I put my spare set into use, new out of the box. Wore them a week and noticed the stitching coming apart. Contacted Redwing and was told by customer service that I had to take them to the original store of purchase for only possible help. It did not matter that I am no longer near or doing business with that location. No service or help at all from manufacturer. They solely drop you on the dealer. Good to learn before buying another pair to place back into reserve. I am now researching brands to replace my work duty boots. I have found brands with much better warranty, but cannot comment on comfort or fit yet. I have not gotten that far in my research. All I can say is Redwing gas lost a customer. A shame, the boot was very comfortable and I had no problem with the $125 price every 8 - 12 months. I believe my model has been made in China and Cambodia soley, not a USA product. read more

I have a pair of Red Wing boots that I bought about 5 years ago for $185. I wear them occasionally to work in the yard. Today, I put them on and started doing yard work and the polyurethane soles actually decomposed and fell apart. The sole fell completely off of one of the boots and the steel shank is now missing. The other sole fell off to the point that the shank is visible and precariously hanging there. The boots haven't been worn very often and the remaining tread shows little wear. I had a similar experience with some Ecco boots that I purchased around the same time as the Red Wings and they quickly took care of the problem. The Ecco boots were replaced because there was a recall on the very same Vibram soles that were on my Red Wings. I contacted Red Wing customer service and they played dumb....didn't know about any recall there was no warranty, but they would happily charge me $95 to resole the obviously defective boots. They said the sole decomposed because the boots were old. I told them that I have 2 pairs of Danners that are twice as old as the Red Wings and the soles haven't decomposed, much less shown much wear.. How does the sole on $185 boot decompose? Its obvious that the soles are defective, but Red Wing won't even entertain looking at any pictures that I might send them. Bottom line is that Red Wing doesn't stand behind their products!!!!!! Ecco does! I guess I need to take my $185 "investment" and throw them in the trash. read more
