First off, Red Wing makes an excellent pair of boots. That being said this store does not honor their work. Several years ago I purchased a large container of boot oil and was told free refills. My wife took it in the other day to get it refilled and they told her they no longer did that it would be $18, (for maybe $3 worth of oil) instead of honoring their word, this store has now lost a customer for life. If you do your homework, you can find these boots online for much cheaper prices and have them mailed to your door. read more

-1 star purchased a pair of boots here and returned when the steel toe area stitching was coming off and when I mentioned it he just started blurting out "tough toe, tough toe". Ridiculous attitude so I purchased the tough toe and asked for the rest of the unused material (it aint cheap) He replied "I use it all" got the boots back and there is no way he used it all. never buying there again. Buyer beware. One reason I purchase redwing shoes for my husband is for the ability to have them repaired and re-sold. However, when we took them back to the store to get re-soled we were told that they dont make those shoes any more and that they can't re-sole them. When you check their web site they say they will repair and re-sole all shoes purchased at redwing. Just to clarify, my company paid for the shoes that I bought, so this is review is for service and quality of shoes. Service- Excellent. They measured the length of my shoe and then walked me through all the different typed of steel toe boots they have there. Once I picked one, the worker got the correct size and he even placed the shoes on my feet. If the shoes felt tight he would get wider shoe. They workers are very patient and courteous. Collection- Steel toe collection is really small and they are bit pricier then boot barn. read more

I have been buying redwing boots for many many years. I have purchased at least ten or twelve pairs of boots. I have even started my son down the redwing path. My son and I walked up to this, my normal store, 46 minutes ago ten minutes before closing. The door was locked but I could see the owner at his desk. We wanted to buy the same boots in the same size he had previously purchased. Easily no more than a five minute transaction from start to finish. But the owner waved us away as if it was 10 minutes after four... Not coming back to this store! read more

Not much of a selection. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you need steel toe boots for work. Boots here are expensive. But they last for rough and dirty jobs. I like how someone will fit you for the right size and even tie your laces for you. They better! Their shoes are expensive! read more

This is the only old time boot store around. I walked in there. I was greeted my a white gentleman in this 50's. He was very friendly. He asked me what I was looking for and found me three different pairs of work boots to try on. He sat me down. Measured my foot. Brought out three different pairs of boots. Laced up my boots. Put my foot in the boots with a shoe horn. Then laced up both boots. I walked around and decided on a pair. I Thought this kind of service was gone. RED WINGS IS THE ONLY BOOTS STORE THAT STILL HAS SERVICE THE WAY IT USED TO BE. This place is awesome!! The white gentleman is awesome!! GOOD PRICES,GREAT SERVICE,WELL MADE BOOTS!! I went in to the store with one shoe in mind and left with another. That's because the owner took his time to find out what it was I needed and not what I wanted. And with his knowledge of his product and the local job requirements, etc., he got me exactly the boot I needed. Sure these boots are expensive. These are high quality, made in the USA (there are some made in China, but they are less expensive), built to last and backed by Red Wing. Try taking a pair of boots back to Wal-Mart to be oiled or for new laces (both services are free at Red Wing), They'll look at you cross-eyed. Or try getting a pair of (insert chinese made brand here) boots re-soled, good luck. All in all I was extremely pleased with the experience at the store and with the boots I was sold. That's right, I was sold a pair of boots by a knowledgeable salesman who took the time to fit me correctly and educate me about his product. I didn't walk in to a big box store and get no service from underpaid, inexperienced and untrained attendants (if you can find one) and buy a pair of boots at a bargain price. Only to have to go back in a few months to buy another pair. The boots I bought should last approximately 2 years or more. Multiply the number of bargain boots I'd go through in that time frame and the cost is the same if not cheaper AND I've got a better boot with better foot and ankle support (translate that to less or no foot pain after a long day on my feet). If your looking for a quality boot this is the place to go. But be prepared to get what you paid for! read more

Nice store. Great customer service - didn't bug me while I was looking at what I wanted to look at, and got a chance to narrow down between two shoes I had not made a decision on before I asked to try on a couple sizes. I wear anywhere from 8.5 to 9 to 9.5 in shoes and boots, so with Red Wing they say you should downsize by half or a full size - and for me that was 8.5 (mens). I'm sure the guy was thinking, now he leaves and buys online after finding out his size - right up to the point where I said I'll take them. Iron Ranger Heritage - made in the U.S.A., how can I go wrong? They are breaking in very nicely and I have not gotten a blister yet (knock on wood), and don't expect one because I can now wear them without any hot spots. First there was the top right of my left foot, and my right heel, but they never blistered and those hot spots are long gone - up to 1 hour and 3.0 mph on the treadmill wtih regular socks with no issues at all. To lend some context - I had to start using thick wool socks and the first few days were dicey and I actually felt a little buyers remorse - but after a couple days the hard spots - I call them hot spots - went away and you can see where the leather is getting broken in in various spots on the shoe. Very happy with my purchase! read more

i have been buying boots here for many years ,wearing red wing boots for twenty years ..i have two pair of the same boots i just bought a third pair in pa they didnt fit well and killed my feet.. took them to daviid and he replaced them in feb /18 .. i explained that i would not put them in use until after my knee replacement.. he said no problem just let him know if i had any problems fforward to june tried them out for a week still hurt my feet went back to store for help he told me ther was nothing he could do to help me because it was out of the 30 day replacement period.. he did not inform me of that policy when i picked them up so now im stuck with and expensive boots i cannot wear so now i went back to my old boots which fit fine i will never purchase another item from this store some of the poorest customer service ever .. he didn't even offer to contact red wing to see if ther was anything they could do !!!!! read more

Great store, best service, and large selection of safety toes. They first asked me what kind of work I did then showed me what boot would be best for me. Sized me and but the boot on me and told me what to look out for in a safety boot (toes hitting steel). I got a 2408 10 e2, fits perfect. Got to go see this store. read more
