I have to give a rating, which is the only reason I'm giving this establishment one star. Otherwise, I would give them none! I took my boots to this Redwing shop for sole replacement. I'm convinced they sent my boots to a local cobbler, as the female manager slipped and said something about, and tried to say they were sent to Redwing. There is no possible way that the artisans at Redwing would get this wrong. My boots came back unfinished, and with one in-sole misaligned with the outer-sole, This is not something trained Redwing cobblers, representing a century old American Made business would casually get wrong! I was looking at Redwing stores for a pair of 1155, which are hard to find up here by Sacramento. The local store told me they didnt carry "that style" of shoes.. which made me wonder what they did carry, loafers? I called around and found them at this Fresno store. I called and they mailed them to me for free. They look and fit great! So if your looking for a store that carries real work boots, try this Fresno store. read more

We all know Red Wing boots are a 5 star premium boot, but the service I received by a young man by the name of Brandon was less than premium . His bad attitude, negative service and his unwilling ability to help was an Awful experience, I had defected steel toes that was digging into my feet and I showed him the pics , He simply did not care, He told me 4 times "There's nothing I can do for you ! I was very upset , and it wasn't until I told him I was gonna call his Corporate Office, when he finally said to pick out a pair of boots, He had no clue what customer service was all about ,also he clueless about his 30 day warranty that the store has , He acted like he was selling a used car. I've been here a few times with my bf. He works for a company that requires him to wear steel toe and this is place where he always ends up buying this work shoes. They actually moved to a new building but same location. They have many selections of work shoes mostly all male shoes they also sell thick work socks. They are very pricey and rarely have any deals. The workers are okay they are nice but everytime we go in they don't look very enthused. read more

I'm not sure why everyone else had such a horrible experience. The lady who helped me spent a significant amount of time helping me. I wear a very wide shoe and she did everything she could to try and find something that work that fit the style I needed for work. The only reason I knocked them a star was them not carrying the sizes I needed in the styles I liked. In the end I was still very happy with my purchase and service I received. Was given a pair of boots as a birthday gift went to the store to have them resoled, like other reviews the cashier acted like he did not want us in the store, i was talking about buying a pair for my girlfriend and being lifelong customers was psyched to hear they repaired shoes for free, they called to say they were finished, i went in and the cashier hands me a pair of filthy boots that had in no way been repaired theres a loose string hanging from the back and i mean filthy without a single word like i should have expected it, i am beyond dissapointed and making sure no one i knows buys shoes from this company again. read more

This review is not on the shoe(s) themselves, but the store operations. My husband was in dire need of new work boots and he spent a lot of time researching what boots are the best for his needs and he decided on Red Wings. We went into the store a month or so ago to get his correct measurements. We then ordered the ones he wanted through the store associate and he gave us two weeks for them to arrive to the store. We waited until 3 weeks and finally called to see that status. They told us the manager would call us on Monday. Monday came and went so I called and finally spoke to the manager. She said they were on backorder and had no date to give us when they'd be available. We said okay, we will give it another week or so and call back. We did. Again, a sales associate said a manager would call us on Monday. We have yet to receive a call and now will be calling corporate to see if they can give us more info on how to receive the particular boots my husband wants and to inform them how little their Fresno location wants to sell their products. read more

I've gone in twice in the last few months, once to find shoes for my bf as a gift and again to return them and have him pick out a pair. Both times I was helped by Brandon. The first time I gave details of what kind of job these will be used for and he spent a while helping me pick out a pair. This business is a joke. I purchase a pair of shoes that became unattached at the bottom. I took them back and the store "glued them" for me. When asked if I could get a store credit on a new pair, I was told my style had been discontinued, and there was nothing they could do. Did get the full service from the folks here because I only called to get a recommendation on cleaning and conditioning supplies for some used (and recently resoled logger boots, which is the best thing about Red Wing products in general). I was pleased to to actually get into a short conversation about some brushes and oils/conditioners they sell in the shop and what others types of things would be close to what they carry. Anyplace that can suggest a widely usable alternative to something they sell really is looking out for their customers and not just trying to get their patrons to consume more. Very please with the service and with the recommendation of horse hair brushes for cleaning. Excellent! read more

I came in to buy a pair of "American made" boots (#9646792 @ over $200.00!!), the salesman wasn't interested in measuring my foot! After insisting, he finally measured the foot. He gave me a size 12 regular but were very tight! He insisted they would stretch to my foot width! I have only worn the boot for maybe 4 hours until I couldn't take it anymore! I called to check the price of a pair of shoes. I gave the name and the number of the shoe. I was quoted $260. When I got there I was told they looked up the wrong number and the shoe was $310. Luckily I went on Black Friday and they were offering 20% off. But, I thought I would be getting 20% off $260. These were going to be a Christmas gift to my son. When I paid to have them ordered, they asked if my son had shopped there before, I said yes, that is how I know what size and style. They said okay we'll put it in his file. I told them NOT to call him when they come in, as they are a gift. They assured me they would not. Well, I get a call from them that they are in. BUT they also called my son and left a message on his phone that his shoes are in. When I called and asked why they did that her reply was "Well, we got like 100 pair of shoes in today". I told her I don't care if you got 500, I asked that you NOT call him. Of course, all she could say is "Sorry". Two issues with one pair of shoes, does not sit well with me. read more
