Red Wing Confectionery will give you wings! Yep you read that right, these delightful delicacies will put some pep in your step by how delicious they are! I was gifted some chocolates and a popcorn mix. The dark chocolate was so so good! It was deeply rich with multi layered flavors. I also got a chocolate covered sea salt caramel Oreo... uhm how can you go wrong with any combination of those words?! The popcorn mix had their delicious chocolate layered in clusters with the sharp cheddar dusted popcorn. Whether as a gift or a sweet indulgence, you can't go wrong with Red Wing Confectionery!

Very cute little shop with whatever sweet treat or warm beverage you want: local root beer float, scoop of ice cream, espresso drinks, chocolate, hand made caramels, and more! A large sized bag of kettle pop corn with white and dark chocolate was less than $6. You can't beat the prices or service ANYWHERE! So glad we stopped here on our quick trip to the Red Wing museum.

    a variety of chocolates

Delicious chocolate, lots of options, ice cream was good, the employees were nice and it's within walking distance of other shops, restaurants, etc.

Was so disappointed to learn that they don't actually make most of the treats sold here. Seems terribly overpriced for what you get.

The chocolate is just OK. If I want fine candy I still head to Mpls. or St. Paul.

This place had mix feelings but on the good and weird side…read more Meaning I don't know if it feels like a restaurant or and antique / boutique shop put together. It's seems to be a lovely joke in the wall cafe made for its grand variety of Tea. They have other foods but I came for the Tea and the tea treats. Tea choice: Bombay Chai-hot Very good more towards the floral note than the spice chai side. Very good. Food: Scones of the day: Blueberry scones- good but feels to soft and cake like a muffin and not the crumbly scone texture I'm used to. The lemon curd side was good and the cream was very basic. Not reall clotted cream hit good enough. Cucumber Tea Sandwiches: Overall the sandwiches were fine but it's not the traditional style with Mayo or white bread. Didn't like the rye bread. Felt like it was too strong of a taste for the cucumber to shine through with its crispy refreshing taste .the rye bread masked with its slight caramel dark burnt taste. Then instead Mayo, they had a cream cheese chives on the spread, I was not a big fan since this not as traditional hence the 3 starts. Overall- a nice homey home comefort feeling of an antique home and cafe put together. Basically it's hue like someone s house turn into a cafe which interestingly makes it feel humble and small town living. Will go back for the tea but food wise- could be better.

The atmosphere is very cozy as well. I have to add that my waitress today surprised me! In passing conversation it came up that I was taking myself out for my birthday. When I went to pay for the meal, my waitress told me that someone paid for my dinner. I was shocked and didn't know what to say! I asked her who paid for it, but she tried to play it off as she didn't know. I was very pleasantly surprised by how lovely, considerate and thoughtful it was for her to do that! I know it had to have been her because no one else knew why I was there. She truly doesn't know how much that meant to me and how that act of kindness was appreciated, especially during the current season of my life. I wish I could remember her name, but unfortunately I didn't memorize it quick enough. She didn't give me a receipt that I could look at for it. But I will never forget her or what she did and hope that I am blessed enough to chat with her again! I definitely recommend going to Liberty Restaurant when in Red Wing! You won't be disappointed! Someone told me to try the fish there, so maybe I'll have to return when they have their Friday fish special! And if the management views this review, please know that you have an amazing woman working on your team who is very rare in today's world! Cherish her! I was at the restaurant between 1530-1630. Have a blessed day! Richard

The onion rings looked great but definitely needed more seasoning and salt to bring out the flavor. The jalapeño poppers, on the other hand, were excellent--stuffed with a generous amount of cream cheese and served hot, which isn't always the case at other places, so that was a pleasant surprise. We'd heard the restaurant was known for their pizza, so we gave the house pizza a try. It was enjoyable overall, but it didn't come out well-done like we'd requested. I'm admittedly a bit of a pizza snob, with lots of solid pizza options back home, so while it wasn't bad, it just didn't wow me. The sauce leaned on the sweeter side, which isn't quite my preference, but the thin crust had a nice crunch to it. All in all, a decent experience with some highs and a few misses. If you like sweet sauce and crunchy thin crust, it might be right up your alley.
