Super cute coffee shop that offers a variety of specialty coffee drinks, along with smoothies and selected pastry items. They have fun merchandise made from local artists and a fair trade gift market featuring items from different countries. They also have used books and a reading/gathering area in the back. Such a unique spot - would definitely come again to see more! read more

I was craving a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant and after checking out where in Aberdeen I'd find one, I landed on Red Rooster. I was frazzled when I finally got inside the cafe after having to find parking, locate the cafe, and maneuver around a parade. I placed my to go sandwich order and was told they no longer make the sandwich on croissants. What! That was the key criteria for choosing RR. Okay, it was made on sour dough. After a lengthy wait, I got my sandwich and stopped a few hours later in Mobridge to eat it. A most unpleasant surprise was to find it had been toasted, so it was dry. The chicken salad was spread so thin that the tomato slice was thicker. In retrospect, a grocery story in Mobridge would have been a better choice. Sorry gang, your drinks looked good, but my sandwich was left wanting. read more

The best coffee house we've found in town, such friendly baristas & tastes sososo good every time

This coffee place was truly adorable. I had a banana iced latte which was also good. The barista was friendly

The best music, great food and the best coffee. Having all your friends around for a fun time read more

The drinks weren't bad and the food was ok, but my god their prices are REALLY really high. It would be a great place and we would be there more often but we just paid $35 for 2 little bagel breakfast sandwiches and 2 mochas. Unbelievable. read more

Hmmm. We had the quirky (turkey) sandwich. Everything about the rooster is quirky - decor, girl behind the counter, things for sale, and me (for choosing it without getting a real recommendation) bread was dry, too much mustard. read more

The Rooster is one of the best places in Aberdeen for coffee and conversation. They do so much for the community and host a variety of different events tailored to the needs of those they serve. The place is really cool as well- attached to a secondhand shop with some of the most interesting finds. Highly recommend! read more

Great food, drinks and atmosphere! Had their breakfast bagel which was delicious! Bagel was soft and delicious. Had a white hot chocolate to drink which also was very tasty. Love the funky atmosphere and the cool things they have for sale! A very fun place! read more

Coffee is very good. I went for the pastries and the muffins and monster cookies are amazing! Staff was helpful

It's an OK place I guess. Nothing exciting here and a 'serve yourself' place for coffee as haven't had anything else. Only went there as a meeting place suggested by another person. The coffee was good and refill your cup as needed - no wait service. read more

Very lovely place! The environment is amazing and the workers are very friendly especially Grayce! Very helpful and a wonderful person

Best latte and colorful, warm environment. My first time here but not my last. A most wonderful place to enjoy music, coffee and people. read more

Amazing staff and atmosphere. Me and my mom love going and getting hot chocolate and then looking around the market. Love the local art and decorations. Feels like a homey feeling place! The baristas are always so cool too, chill and down to earth. read more

This is a cute little local coffee house that also sells little local and free trade items such as soaps, hats, bags, shirts, knick knacks and they have a pretty big hot sauce section. They have free wi-fi, big comfy couches and usually have things going on such as live bands during the weekend. This place calls to my inner hippie and I can spend hours in here drinking a lattee reading my kindle and just enjoying the atmosphere. They also have some food items, I tried a turkey sandwich and some kind of chicken tortilla soup which was good. This is a nice little gem in Aberdeen, I wish I was going to be here a bit longer to enjoy some of the things they have coming up. read more

Awesome place! I've been there today probably for the first, only, and last time probably because Im not from nearby, but there's something here for everyone! Every time I walked back through, I found another awesome thing! read more

Cute little coffee shop in downtown Aberdeen. Prices are reasonable, there's lots of comfy seating, and a ton of drinks on the menu. Only downsides are, the wifi didn't work, the pastries were pretty blah, and it's not open on Sunday. This is probably the best coffee shop for miles, so try it out! read more

Great place for coffee, snack with an eclectic style of decor'. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Nice place, I just don't ever feel very welcome in the establishment though. It's brightly colored red and yellow, decent cup of coffee. But I always feel like I'm being pushed out by the employees and owners. read more

Waited an eternity for 2 breakfast sandwiches and 2 coffees, they were made wrong, and we spent $32!!!!! WTF??? 2 BAGEL SANDWICHES AND 2 COFFEES SHOULD NOT COST $32 read more

The Red Rooster is the coolest coffee shop east of Seattle, west of Brooklyn, north of New Orleans, and south of Canada. This place is off the charts on the Comfy Meter. Both the owners and workers here are genuine about their products, passionate about culture, and have big hearts that welcome anyone in. Truly an atmosphere that is like family more than any other place I've ever been in. And it shows - the crowd here is more diverse than Walmart, sans the trashiness. Since I don't live in Aberdeen, I only wish that I could airlift the Red Rooster to wherever I am in the world. It's way more than a coffee house! Oh yeah, their coffee is good, too. read more

Went here last night for an art opening complete with a rock show. This is great place for the under agers to hang and rock out. They have wifi and games too. My kid ordered a hot chocolate. Best damn hot chocolate I've ever had! Hands down the best coffee shop in Aberdeen. read more

I LLOOVVEEEE this place. My drinks are always amazing! Most of the employees are super nice! Whenever I have enough free time, I cheat on Starbucks for red rooster read more

One of the grooviest little coffee shops around. Fun atmosphere and a center for the entire community. Owners are real sweethearts.

Every time I am in Aberdeen I have to come here to get a cup of coffee, they never let me down. I love the decor and all of the old books they have in there, it is very quiet and has plenty of seating. There's all sorts of nice bags and soaps, I found a card that had a basset hound on it. I had to buy it was so precious, I love bassets they are so cute. read more

Super cute! Great coffee. Stopped here while driving through Aberdeen!

Yum!! A funky lil place in downtown Aberdeen with great coffee!! Also, they have really tasty sandwiches... I got the tuna salad and it was delicious! Comes with pasta salad that is very tasty As well. Inside its sort of a mish mash of eclectic tastes with art, a used book section and some little trinkets. A great place to sit and read a good book and just chill read more

The counter girls were very friendly and welcoming. The store front, entire street actually, was reminiscent of the Gilmore Girls set. My breve misto, the reason I dragged my tail out of bed, was perfect in smell and taste and the best froth out of any snooty chicago coffee shop I've been to. The end. read more

Great atmosphere. Good service! Exceptional product! Every town needs a cozy spot like this.b

Great place to spend a Saturday morning either catching up with friends or getting some work done. But not Sunday morning, because they aren't open on Sundays. The chai latte I got was probably the best i've ever had in my life. They use different unique mugs which is cool. I have yet to check out their bands/poetry nights but I'm sure they are fun. I wish they had more snack options available. read more

The red rooster is a MUST experience if you are in Aberdeen. They are the hub for the downtown and the arts and music culture in this town. Every trip here is a different experience. Recommend the highlander grogg and the cold brew. read more

The Red Rooster is to Batman as Aberdeen is to the Joker is to coffee shops. Seriously. For reals. Actually that was essentially all I wanted to say but this dadblasted contraption won't allow reviews that short. So I'm just talking. Blah dah dah dah. And singing. Definitely try their nachos too. read more
