One of my favorite things is that they open at 5:00 AM, which makes it easy to get a workout in before work. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the entire facility is consistently clean. I also like the extra amenities, including the sauna, the CrossFit area, and the boxing bags. Overall, it's a well-maintained gym with everything I need, and I'm very happy I joined. Highly recommend!

Today, I finally understood why the staff at City Sport Club provide such poor customer service…read more I was fortunate enough to speak with the manager regarding the steam room, which has been out of service for more than four months. When I asked when it would finally be repaired, I received the same response I have been hearing for months: "Maybe in a week or two." I have been given this answer repeatedly for over four months, yet the steam room has never been fixed. The manager also told me that the club had already paid $20,000 to the company responsible for repairing the steam room. However, when I asked him when the company was scheduled to come and complete the repairs, he said he had no idea. Doesn't that sound absurd? If you paid a contractor $20,000, wouldn't you expect to know when they were going to show up and perform the work? It is difficult to believe that anyone would make such a significant payment without receiving a timeline or expected completion date. I asked him directly, "When you paid the repair company, didn't they tell you when they would be coming to fix the steam room?" His response was unconvincing, and his body language suggested that he was uncomfortable with the question. At that moment, I found it hard to believe the explanation I was being given. After hearing the same promises for more than four months with no progress and no clear answers, I am left questioning both the transparency and accountability of the management team. What was even more disappointing was the manager's attitude. In the middle of our conversation, without resolving my question, offering any explanation, or even apologizing for the inconvenience, he simply turned around and walked away, leaving me standing there. After this experience, I now understand why the employees at this location treat customers so poorly--their manager sets the same example. For anyone considering joining this gym, I strongly encourage you to think twice before making your decision.

Unfortantely, I had to stop going and processed a cancellation of my membership. Some how the process never finished and I was getting charged. She was able to get the situation resolved pretty quickly and I remembered why I fell in love with the place. It's a great spot for your classic gym work-out's, but also as a change in pace for those who work from home (there's a separate work space where you can also rent out private room). Noise level is typically lively. Parking in the main lot is difficult especially after work or at noon (during weekday's) and is generally packed during the weekend - of note, there's an alternative parking lot to the side of the main lot for Bay Club-specific parking (approximately 5min walk). SERVICE Service was friendly, overall, as you're typically greeted by those at the front desk, which is lovely. I'd say there is room for improvement for my tour/meeting with the membership director when I first looked at Bay Club Courtside, as it felt that my question's were more of annoyances and that he wanted the meeting to be over with sooner than later. STANDOUT DETAIL What stood out most to me was the overall atmosphere and vibe - it feels like I'm going on vacation to a resort everytime I enter (rather than a gym). I've never paid a monthly fee for a gym until now, and I'll say it's absolutely worth it! Overall, I'd highly recommend Bay Club Courtside!

Coach Nicole(10U) is truly exceptional--sharp, deeply committed, firm when needed, and always willing to go above and beyond for the kids. The club administrators do a great job of sharing the schedules of both practices and games/tournaments. We joined SJX after some bad experiences with other clubs and were happy to see our child enjoy going to each practice and make some great (hopefully lifelong) friends. The only knock, and why not a five-star plus experience, is that the club is popular and has a lot of kids. This leads to coaches working with larger groups. They do their best, but there are limits. One reason the club is so large is that they are the best option in the critical phase when you are starting and quickly developing as a player. Another downside is that if your player progresses to a high level, it would make sense to look at other options where more high-level teammates and tournaments accelerate and improve chances of playing at the highest levels. But this only really applies to those "star players" and likely not to those writing and reading a Yelp review before joining.
