Jen wrote back to me displaying incredibly unprofessional customer service. I'm not going to play the "Customer is always right" card because I'll admit my emails could stand to be a bit nicer. However, as a business owner who I assume is trying to gain more customers, Jen completely failed in addressing my concerns and questions. She not only failed to answer my initial question on whether I needed to sign up for a monthly membership account and enter my card information, she also proceeded to repeatedly state that the process is "simple" and patronized me for not being able to figure it out. Even if the registration flow was in fact simple or if I'm just overlooking a step in the process, a brief clarification without condescending tones would've been a sufficient response, especially coming from the Founder and Head Trainer of the business. This is definitely one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever encountered. A career in fitness typically involves encouraging and helping others succeed. And yet, based on my first conversation with Jen, she seems to show more skill in customer blaming than anything else.

I didn't know what to expect and after the first class, I was sore for three days. Classes are relatively small and feel very personal. No matter what level of fitness you are, anyone can join the class. I love the fact that each class is different so it doesn't feels redundant and it is challenging. I feel very accomplished after each boot camp and looking forward to it every time. I can't recommend this bootcamp enough and hope to continue. Overall, the experience has been great--and the girls on each team have fun during the games. It's ALL about the kids having a good time, but as usual, some parents are more concerned about feeding their ego. My one bit of feedback would be to spend a little bit more (happy to pay an additional $10 for registration) money to hire umpires/referees/officials for the games. Similar to soccer leagues for youth (they have middle/high-school students referee), you can most likely find a cost efficient method to hire officials for the games. Why? Well, the current system gives the coaches the responsibility to not only coach, but to officiate the games too (they call balls/strikes, outs, etc). So, what that does, is create an opportunity for five different teams (five is just an example number) to interpret the rules five different ways--and when rules are interpreted differently, it creates game-time debates about the aforementioned rules. On top of that, there are the parents/coaches who have been doing it for a while, and know how to use the rule book to their advantage against newer coaches. Should I need to make such a recommendation? No. You would think the parents of 7-8yr old kids would chill out--but if you have now, or have ever had your child enrolled in sports, you know how the cookie crumbles. You sometimes just have to shake your head. So, on behalf of the parents who don't want to hear bickering back and forth between coaches who interpret rules differently, or coaches who have other teams follow the rules, but break them two innings later, please think of getting some third party officials for the games...even if that official is another parent volunteer (not from either team).

Overall, this is a great local place for tennis if you want a casual, sunny, and enjoyable court to play on in Campbell.

It's open from sun rise until dusk and you'll see a variety of people doing different workouts and I've never seen it too packed. They've also got bleachers for those that want to get a stair workout in. The parking is plentiful and I'd recommend parking in the shade. This is mostly a track review but there's also a skate park and other fields where you can get some physical activity in. All in all it's a great place to get a little exercise in or even just get a walk in and some sun.

Lindsay's a good trainer, and the girls seem to get along well and enjoy one another's company. The reason I elected not to stay with this program are 1) hike days (aka Wednesdays) are lame, 2) the camp is on an odd "4 weeks on, 1 week off" schedule, and 3) it's not coed. I've done bootcamps that are coed, and I think both the women and the men push themselves harder -- the women work harder to keep up with the men, and the men push themselves to ensure that they don't get their asses kicked by the women. The energy level seems lower when the group is confined to women only. Like I said, though, this is a solid boot camp. As far as the points above go, I know Lindsay has put thought into each of these items and has consciously decided to format his program in the current manner because it makes sense for him and/or his group. It's just a matter of opinion. I recommend both Lindsay and his program without reservation. If you're looking to make a change in your life, this would be a great place to start.

First is that I am stronger now at nearly 42 than I have ever been. Although getting up for a 5:30 workout is very very early it is wonderful getting home before my kids wake up and knowing that my workout is done for the day. My energy level has increased and I feel years younger. Last but not least, I have met a great group of ladies that help make the workouts so fun. Lindsay is also a great trainer. He is positive, keeps the workouts fresh and offers great advise on nutrition and on how to reach your personal goals. Great people, great workout and I couldn't recommend it more.
