It's a fun playground where I go to play, to process, to express, to connect, and to release. From day one, this space has felt safe, welcoming, and grounding. What stands out most is the community. I deeply value connection, and as a new member, I've genuinely appreciated the friendliness and openness of the people here. The gym-goers I've met have been kind, encouraging, and warm! I feel right at home! Of course...creating this kind of culture doesn't just happen. It's a reflection of the incredible staff who hold the energy of this place. Special shout-outs to Eli (manager), Anthony (sales), Diana and Elias (welcome desk), and the entire team, from the amazing front desk to the cleaning and maintenance staff who keep everything squeaky clean and running smoothly. Your care and effort are felt! Deep gratitude for this gym and for everyone who contributes to making it such a welcoming and uplifting space. I'm really thankful to be part of this community!

However, three days later, when I returned on Wednesday, the locks were still not fixed and remained broken. What was even more upsetting and uncomfortable was the staff's attitude. When I went back to speak with the front desk again, the same person showed no sincerity or willingness to apologize. Instead, they appeared indifferent, as if the issue had nothing to do with them. I will be reporting this poor service attitude to management. It is now 2026, and it is honestly shocking that the level of service can still be this bad. If there were an option to give zero stars, I would not hesitate to do so.

However I will say,…read morepricing just keeps going up and I don't think it's going to stop, because they know people here in the bay make too much and will pay whatever amount to have nice courts with good people to play here. I personally just buy the day passes here and come during the weekend every so often, and stay all day (since they have in n out privileges) to make my pass worth it. I remember the good old days when day passes were just $25, but now it is $40! A bit too much for me, if you are looking for a free court with good opponents, you can play at Mitchell park in Palo Alto. Also, during rainy days is very busy so be mindful of that if you are coming because you can't play outside for free, because everyone else has the same idea! Other than that, when I do come to the hub, I always get good games in when I play in the higher skill levels

Dipti was able to meet with us in person and also by email to go over all the details. Dipti also provided a timeline which allowed for us to simply enjoy the event. Our event was for approximately 100 people which included players and spectators. For some of the people, it was their first time playing pickleball and for others it was there first time playing at the Hub. All of the details were taken care of, even some that we did not even consider. In the end, we had a great time and everyone continues to talk about the experience and memories that were made that day. Thanks Dipti and the Hub for making this day GREAT!

I've been a member since 2002, so I'm one of the longer-tenured members…read more My review is mostly a copy-paste from an email that I sent to the club management about half a year ago. They have responded but the response was not very satisfactory so I am posting the email here. If you are an existing member or plan to become one, and agree with some of sentiment expressed here, please don't be silent. Talk or send email to the management. I still love the club, despite all the neglect. Here is the email: Membership dues continue to rise well above inflation. For our family/group (same membership for many years), the cost has increased approximately 50% in just the past three years. At this rate, the club is quickly moving from "nice-to-have" to "can't justify" for a growing number of us. Facilities - Santa Clara and Courtside Despite paying roughly double what we paid a few years ago, we've seen very little tangible improvement at the two locations I use most. The pre-COVID renovation at Santa Clara remains unfinished. Is there a firm timeline for completion? When can we expect a proper, full-service cafeteria? Courtside locker room and showers: The overall condition remains poor. It took years to replace the old, unsanitary carpet, several electronic locks are still broken with no apparent repair in progress, showers are outdated and frequently out of order, and on multiple occasions I've seen extension cords running across wet floors. The locker room layout itself feels cramped; reconfiguring with fewer, larger lockers and more open space would greatly reduce congestion during peak hours. Courtside desperately needs a modern, clean restroom on the first floor (similar to Santa Clara). Relying solely on the tiny facility in the men's locker room is unpleasant and unhygienic. Right now everybody must go this tiny bathroom where the floor is often wet and I am not sure if I am stepping into water or pee. This bathroom is totally disgusting. The comfortable wooden cushioned loungers that used to be available at all clubs were replaced with cheap, uncomfortable ones. Most mid-tier apartment complexes now have better pool furniture than we do. Could we please have the original (or equivalent) loungers brought back? Parking during peak hours is already at a breaking point. If membership continues to grow without expanding parking or offering solutions, the situation will become untenable. With dues rising so significantly, it's frustrating to see so little reinvestment in basic maintenance and member experience. I genuinely want the club to succeed and remain a place our families enjoy for many more years, but the current trajectory on pricing versus facility quality is unsustainable for many of us.

My son and daughter have both spent time there and always come out happy, which says a lot. As a dad, it's just nice knowing they're in good hands while I get a workout in. No stress, no worries. Definitely recommend if you're on the fence.

SJ Express is an excellent program to have your kids start water polo. Much of the coaching staff…read moreis younger with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. The club administrators do a great job of sharing the schedules of both practices and games/tournaments. We joined SJX after some bad experiences with other clubs and were happy to see our child enjoy going to each practice and make some great (hopefully lifelong) friends. The only knock, and why not a five-star plus experience, is that the club is popular and has a lot of kids. This leads to coaches working with larger groups. They do their best, but there are limits. One reason the club is so large is that they are the best option in the critical phase when you are starting and quickly developing as a player. Another downside is that if your player progresses to a high level, it would make sense to look at other options where more high-level teammates and tournaments accelerate and improve chances of playing at the highest levels. But this only really applies to those "star players" and likely not to those writing and reading a Yelp review before joining.

We have been part of San Jose Express for the past three years. Our son began on the swim team and,…read moreover the last year and a half, transitioned into water polo. Water polo has had a profound impact on his life and character. It has taught him discipline, teamwork, and has greatly strengthened his confidence. Water polo is far more than a sport. It instills values every growing child needs to learn, experience, and carry with them beyond the pool. Coach Nicole(10U) is truly exceptional--sharp, deeply committed, firm when needed, and always willing to go above and beyond for the kids. She lives and breathes the game, and what our son has gained under her guidance has far exceeded our expectations. If we were asked to make the same decision about SJX today, we would do so without hesitation--just as we did three years ago.
