This place is hands down the best Indian restaurant in Burlington. The menu has a number of items that are more unusual and everything we've had has been delicious. The samosa chaat is a particular favorite. Unlike other places around here, Red Panda's spiciness levels are what you'd find outside of Vermont. A medium from Red Panda is probably a spicy or extra spicy at other Burlington restaurants. We've only done pick-up and during COVID it's been a little slow. I get it and don't mind but if you're on a schedule you might want to take it into consideration. read more

The garlic naan was piping hot and so garlicky (SO GOOD) for like an hour after I picked it up and I asked them to make my dish "the spiciest they could" and boy did they come through! I didn't leave the hotel and Grubhub' d it. The chicken tikka masala was very good. It had just the right amount of heat. The naan was a little chewy, but this could just be how it was transported. I am also not sure they used jasmine rice. It seems more of your traditional white rice. Overall it was very tasty and I do have to give it a thumbs up. Let me know how the naan is when it is fresh from kitchen. read more

Red Panda has become our go-to order out food! We've ordered almost everything on the menu and everything is delicious. Everything has great,unique flavors and the proportions are enough to share. Every-time we go in everyone is incredibly friendly and gracious. The restaurant itself isn't anything spectacular but the service is always speedy and friendly. I'd recommend takeout or delivery. My favorite dish is the butter chicken with a side of naan! The momos are great too but the sauce is a bit spicy (so beware). Red Panda is inconspicuous enough, tucked right at the end of the scenic Church Street, but this is a gem of a restaurant. It offers a large array of Nepali/Indian/Chinese fare, including delicious vegan options. My husband opted for a chicken curry and I had a spinach soup starter and a dal main, all of which were exquisite. I also recommend the mango lassi, and the very peculiar Sherpa tea, which is basically a savoury black tea with butter. The service is also friendly and efficient. A perfect lunch spot. read more

I had to wait for 1 hour just to get the water and then 1.5 hours to get the food. People left after ordering and waiting for the food for hours but food never arrived. There was only one waitress handling all the tables. I could see the stress on her face. Other people told me they didnt even get all the dishes they ordered. Even uber eats and doordash people waited for 1 hour. There was no apology from the owner to the customers. Customers were seated then forgotten. Food is good but not worth the hassle. They need more staff and better management. Until then I wont recommend this restuarant. Worst restaurant experience ever. read more

The coconut chicken and lamb korma curries were excellent, great portion sizes, customisable spice level (mild was 100% not spicy). A couple of months ago I was talking with my family about how we wished that there was authentic Nepalese/Indian food. My prayers were answered when Red Panda opened up. This place is absolutely first class. It's on lower Church st. which has traditionally been a challenging place for restaurants to thrive, but it's worth crossing Main st. and checking it out. I've literally been three times in the past two weeks and am already planning my next visit. The Momos are amazing as are the Samosas. I've enjoyed the Saag Paneer, the Chicken Tikka, Chicken Curry, and Tandoori Chicken. Honestly though, the Butter Chicken is the tastiest I've ever had in my life. There are plenty of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options as well. On top of the tasty food, the staff is amazing. They're friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. So my family and I had Napali food, back to back nights in Burlington. My teens now LOVE Momos! We preferred this restaurant of the two. It was fantastic! New and very clean. The staff was very attentive and informative. We have a lot of experience with Indian food but we let them explain their suggestions to see what they would offer. We ended up with chicken momo, Pokhara, butter chicken, naan, aachar, mango chutney, and aloo saag. My mouth is watering just think about that. All were fantastic. We are so lucky to have this one block away. Since COVID we have ordered three times now. I continue to really appreciate the mix of spices they use. We love Indian food and have eaten it a lot of places. Red Panda continues to be our GO TO place for take out. If my husband had his preference, we would always order from here if we are eating out. For my birthday on Tuesday we ordered take-out and ate it on our roof deck. Making lemonade with lemons during this COVID time. I love the Cauliflower 65 and the lamb biryani. We tried this new Indian/Nepali/Indo-Chinese restaurant yesterday. I am pleased to report that, in my opinion, it is by far the best restaurant of this type in the area. The food is authentic and wonderfully spiced. The portions are plentiful and reasonably priced. The Paneer roll appetizer is to die for! I had the lamb vindaloo that was perfectly prepared and hot. My wife had a black bean vegetarian dish that was subtle yet extremely tasty. Service was friendly and helpful in recommending dishes from the very extensive menu. We will be back. read more

We really wanted to love this place. We weren't expecting to find Nepalese food in Burlington and were really excited to find this place. We ordered mostly Nepalese dishes - steamed chicken momo, vegetable chowmein, paneer chili, thukpa (ordered chicken, received veggie) and some naan. All of the food we received were sub par perhaps other than maybe paneer chili. That had more to do with the fact that it was ordered really spicy for us to be able to distinguish the real taste :) The momo filling could have used less salt and less cumin. Also the thukpa could have used less cumin. And oh my goodness, the dipping sauce for momo was the worst we've ever had. It was watered down and had absolutely no taste. At $60 spent (and no drinks ordered), we were really let down. read more

Loved this place! We got the Tofu Curry, Veggie Pakora, Papadam, Naan, and Somosas. Food came out fast and was delicious. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. We found the place while wandering around downtown and picking it on a whim. I'm so glad we did! The inside was lovely, classy and approachable. The prices were very reasonable and the portions were pretty big. Also, we really appreciated that the vegan options were very clearly labeled and that there were several to choose from.
