This was our first time trying Nepali-Indian cuisine. We started with the samosa chaat. The flavors and textures were wonderful. Like a deconstructed samosa! The lamb curry and chicken tikka masala were spot on. Melt in your mouth tenderness and flavor. The chicken momo and the chili momo were also very good. The service was warm and friendly and they had eat in dining which is a rarity these days. read more

Delicious everything was delicious. The chili momo is amazing!! I love momo but I've never seen it with chili sauce before it's so good. Portions were big my husband and I split butter chicken, momo, samosas and some veggies. 11/10 would recommend. So so good read more

Red Panda - Lamb Korma & Tikka Masala Deep Divine Flavors - Himalayan/Nepalese Near Me - Burlington, Vermont

This place is hands down the best Indian restaurant in Burlington. The menu has a number of items that are more unusual and everything we've had has been delicious. The samosa chaat is a particular favorite. Unlike other places around here, Red Panda's spiciness levels are what you'd find outside of Vermont. A medium from Red Panda is probably a spicy or extra spicy at other Burlington restaurants. We've only done pick-up and during COVID it's been a little slow. I get it and don't mind but if you're on a schedule you might want to take it into consideration. read more

Quick and easy pick up. AMAZING FOOD. The garlic naan was piping hot and so garlicky (SO GOOD) for like an hour after I picked it up and I asked them to make my dish "the spiciest they could" and boy did they come through! Very plentiful serving size, my one entree lasted me three different meals! Thank you for an enjoyable experience! read more

Red Panda - Lollipop Chicken, Cheese Naan, and Butter Chicken - Himalayan/Nepalese Near Me - Burlington, Vermont

Red Panda has become our go-to order out food! We've ordered almost everything on the menu and everything is delicious. Everything has great, unique flavors and the proportions are enough to share. Every-time we go in everyone is incredibly friendly and gracious. The restaurant itself isn't anything spectacular but the service is always speedy and friendly. I'd recommend takeout or delivery. My favorite dish is the butter chicken with a side of naan! The momos are great too but the sauce is a bit spicy (so beware). If you're looking for takeout or delivery you really cannot go wrong at Red Panda. read more

I didn't leave the hotel and Grubhub' d it. The chicken tikka masala was very good. It had just the right amount of heat. The naan was a little chewy, but this could just be how it was transported. I am also not sure they used jasmine rice. It seems more of your traditional white rice. Overall it was very tasty and I do have to give it a thumbs up. Let me know how the naan is when it is fresh from kitchen. read more

We have been ordering from this place all throughout covid and the food was always great. Now that they're open again the food is even better in person! There's a lot of options on the menu which is great. read more

Red Panda - Chana Masala, Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan, plain naan - Himalayan/Nepalese Near Me - Burlington, Vermont

This place delivers the heat!! Got the chili veg momo and they were the best momo's I have ever had, and so deliciously spicy! Great variety on the menu. Only thing is that the service here is a little slow, but well worth the wait. Definetly a hidden gem! read more

Red Panda - Veg Chili Momo - Himalayan/Nepalese Near Me - Burlington, Vermont

Red Panda is inconspicuous enough, tucked right at the end of the scenic Church Street, but this is a gem of a restaurant. It offers a large array of Nepali/Indian/Chinese fare, including delicious vegan options. My husband opted for a chicken curry and I had a spinach soup starter and a dal main, all of which were exquisite. I also recommend the mango lassi, and the very peculiar Sherpa tea, which is basically a savoury black tea with butter. The service is also friendly and efficient. A perfect lunch spot. read more

People!! This new burly restaurant is delish!! Forget Thai Dishes that used to be here, the food is so yummy and fresh. Vegan options of plenty and they're very accommodating with substitutes. Waitstaff was nice and they are brand new so I will be back with more friends next time! Go here!! read more

I had to wait for 1 hour just to get the water and then 1.5 hours to get the food. People left after ordering and waiting for the food for hours but food never arrived. There was only one waitress handling all the tables. I could see the stress on her face. Other people told me they didnt even get all the dishes they ordered. Even uber eats and doordash people waited for 1 hour. There was no apology from the owner to the customers. Customers were seated then forgotten. Food is good but not worth the hassle. They need more staff and better management. Until then I wont recommend this restuarant. Worst restaurant experience ever. read more

Great food, good service, and byob! Finally Burlington has good and authentic Indian food. (A huge bonus - there is rarely a wait on a weekend night if you forgot to make a reservation in town). Try out this gem! read more

This was a nice surprise - the paneer Tikka masala was delicious, the parokas we're mouthwatering and my husband said it was the best chicken samosa he's ever had. I'd eat here again in a heartbeat. read more

6 diners...6 different meals...all amazing!!!! Super nice staff...explained dishes we weren't familiar with. Definitely going back!

I love Red Panda! Is it the best Indian I've ever had? No, probably not but it is the best in the area and always a stop for me when I'm in Burlington, especially when I'm worn out on Italian and American foods. The menu has a wide variety of dishes, the service is always pretty good and the food always tastes amazing! read more

Absolutely love this place. Amazing, flavorful and super traditional. The dishes are extensive from regions across Nepal and the Indian sub-continent. The atmosphere is welcoming and they have a great selection of beverages. They also do not compromise on spice and flavor to cater to white palettes -- which is a huge plus. The more traditional the better! read more

The food and service here were really excellent! We came here on a trip to Burlington on the night we got there and reached the restaurant about 20 minutes from closing time. They still accommodated us graciously - the servers were very friendly and the food was super tasty! In fact, we liked it so much that we came back next night! We absolutely loved the thukpa, chili momos, and kofta curry. read more

When our favorite Nepalese/Indian place closed, we thought we would not find another good substitute but then we found this gem. Absolutely delicious and even better than the one we used to go to! Highly recommend their chicken tikka masala and coconut chicken curry. read more

Food was excellent! Service was very attentive and everyone was very friendly. We were shocked it was so quiet - definitely deserves to be busier. The coconut chicken and lamb korma curries were excellent, great portion sizes, customisable spice level (mild was 100% not spicy). The naan bread was great, momos were very tasty with a great sauce, and we would have liked to try more! Very casual and comfortable vibe. Definitely come here or get takeout if you're in Burlington! read more

I screwed up an order online and they refused to refund my money. I called right away, called the delivery site too

Though my order was messed up the first time, they handled the mess up with grace and such kindness. Their coconut chicken curry was an 11/10!! I'm very grateful for their service and delicious eats! read more

A couple of months ago I was talking with my family about how we wished that there was authentic Nepalese/Indian food. My prayers were answered when Red Panda opened up. This place is absolutely first class. It's on lower Church st. which has traditionally been a challenging place for restaurants to thrive, but it's worth crossing Main st. and checking it out. I've literally been three times in the past two weeks and am already planning my next visit. The Momos are amazing as are the Samosas. I've enjoyed the Saag Paneer, the Chicken Tikka, Chicken Curry, and Tandoori Chicken. Honestly though, the Butter Chicken is the tastiest I've ever had in my life. There are plenty of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options as well. On top of the tasty food, the staff is amazing. They're friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Please do yourself a favor and check the place out. You can thank me later. read more

So my family and I had Napali food, back to back nights in Burlington. My teens now LOVE Momos! We preferred this restaurant of the two. It was fantastic! New and very clean. The staff was very attentive and informative. We have a lot of experience with Indian food but we let them explain their suggestions to see what they would offer. We ended up with chicken momo, Pokhara, butter chicken, naan, aachar, mango chutney, and aloo saag. My mouth is watering just think about that. All were fantastic. If you like Indian/Nepali food you will love this place. If never have tried this type of food, then this place is a great place to start. Do not skip the momos! read more

Found this place while visiting Burlington. Great food and service. Will certainly go back again.

We are so lucky to have this one block away. Since COVID we have ordered three times now. I continue to really appreciate the mix of spices they use. We love Indian food and have eaten it a lot of places. Red Panda continues to be our GO TO place for take out. If my husband had his preference, we would always order from here if we are eating out. For my birthday on Tuesday we ordered take-out and ate it on our roof deck. Making lemonade with lemons during this COVID time. I love the Cauliflower 65 and the lamb biryani. The biryani is enough for three separate meals. read more

We tried this new Indian/Nepali/Indo-Chinese restaurant yesterday. I am pleased to report that, in my opinion, it is by far the best restaurant of this type in the area. The food is authentic and wonderfully spiced. The portions are plentiful and reasonably priced. The Paneer roll appetizer is to die for! I had the lamb vindaloo that was perfectly prepared and hot. My wife had a black bean vegetarian dish that was subtle yet extremely tasty. Service was friendly and helpful in recommending dishes from the very extensive menu. We will be back. read more

Great food, perfect blend of spices. Take out orders are high quality and make my night!

We really wanted to love this place. We weren't expecting to find Nepalese food in Burlington and were really excited to find this place. We ordered mostly Nepalese dishes - steamed chicken momo, vegetable chowmein, paneer chili, thukpa (ordered chicken, received veggie) and some naan. All of the food we received were sub par perhaps other than maybe paneer chili. That had more to do with the fact that it was ordered really spicy for us to be able to distinguish the real taste :) The momo filling could have used less salt and less cumin. Also the thukpa could have used less cumin. And oh my goodness, the dipping sauce for momo was the worst we've ever had. It was watered down and had absolutely no taste. At $60 spent (and no drinks ordered), we were really let down. read more

The food was delicious my main complaint is there wasn't enough of it. I definitely expected the portion sizes to be larger. However I love that they deliver for free. This makes them really stand out. read more

Loved this place! We got the Tofu Curry, Veggie Pakora, Papadam, Naan, and Somosas. Food came out fast and was delicious. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. We found the place while wandering around downtown and picking it on a whim. I'm so glad we did! The inside was lovely, classy and approachable. The prices were very reasonable and the portions were pretty big. Also, we really appreciated that the vegan options were very clearly labeled and that there were several to choose from. Very happy and will definitely go there again! read more
