I've been going to Magic Moon for a long time, well before they moved to the new location…read more Unfortunately, I won't be going back. The last time I was in, right before Christmas for a Monroe piercing. I was super nervous because I had had my nostril and septum pierced, but no other part of my face, and I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. The piercer was nice enough, even took a few minutes at the end to fix a janky septum ring I got online lol. Well, unfortunately, when the piercer went to put the needle through my lip, they slipped a little, and the hole in the back ended up way lower than it should have. They immediately acknowledged that it may not heal properly, but let's wait to see and if not, they would redo it for free. So I waited....6, 7, 8 weeks of this thing catching on my front teeth...giving me a red mark that thankfully didn't scar...well for this reason it never healed. In fact it kept getting swollen again. Well, no problem, the piercer said just contact them and they'll redo it. Well that unfortunately is easier said than done. When initially making my (paid) appointment, I was contacted almost immediately to schedule an appointment, and they were very kind and warm. The second appt, which would have been the redo that no one was making any money for...was MUCH harder to schedule. I initially tried the contact email on the website..waited a week with no response. So I tried texting the number we had originally been communicating on to schedule my first (paid) appt....with barely a begrudging response... (From 'Magic Moon Admin', not the piercer.) Finally, I filled out thier online appointment request form, indicating that I had sent an email with no reply. I eventually heard back, "apologies, apologies, when/if do you want to reschedule?"
If? IF?? I don't spend $100 for a rod to mess up my face for a month, of course I want to reschedule. It seems they don't like rescheduling when they won't be making any money.
One more "misunderstanding" around rescheduling, and I've lost all confidence and will be going somewhere else, closer, for my piercings and tattoos. I used to love going because I had every single bit of faith in the piercer... and now not at all.
