Where to begin.... Bri (really good friend) and I was tired of working really hard on resumes and such and decided to go walking around Nashua and as we were walking I realized one of her passions is to someday become a tattoo artist... As we were walking we noticed this little Tattoo/piercing place named Twist and decided to go in... Now keep in mind i had no intentions in getting any ink, just wanted to step in and have Bri get a feel as to what all was involved in the tattooing business. I do have several tattoos myself so as she was speaking to the staff (Which i would have to say was very inviting) I started to look around to take mental note weather or not the place was clean, weather or not everything was being sterilized properly according to health regulations and make sure the booths were neat and tidy for i have personal issues to these kind of things,,, All the things mentioned were to 100% satisfaction. At this point i started to have this overwhelming itch for ink... Its been a good 15 years since i had a tattoo gun held to my skin and i was do for it:) To be perfectly honest this small Family of artists were everything i would have expected for a professional tattoo environment. They had awesome music in the background, they all were in great joking spirits, and was all about the customer, but at the same time took their work seriously for i have the finish work to prove it.... They gave excellent advise as to what Bri needed to do in order to become a success in the future as well as kept me entertained under the gun... Brian Hubis (AKA: Waffle) You ROCK!!!! Your going to go places in the future my friend:) Note: If your going for a tattoo its not like going for a cheese burger at Burger King.. This isnt a fast food 3 minutes and your out the door kind of business and its for sure not the place to have a three piece suit on and not be able smile ,carry on and joke..... When you come to a tattoo place you expect them to be inviting, plain cloths, talkative, and ofc be able to joke around for it eases what little pain you or your partner will be enduring for the next several hours. These guys made me want to come back for the rest of whatever art i want done in the future. I walked in as a stranger and walked out feeling like a long time friend... I strongly recommend Twist to be the place for anyone who wants an Epic experience all the while knowing they will be under the gun... For this is why i have no issues at all giving them a 5 star for their efforts... read more

This is probably goin to get deleted but i will post it anyway. YELP IS A SCAM. This site should be up for review because its run by complete morons. Yelp has taken it upon themselves to choose which reviews to leave posted and which to delete. yelp has deleted or filtered out Twist Tattoos great reviews form our many satisfied and repeat customers. They said they felt the reviews were " too good" so they felt that they were fake. its obvious what is fake, YELP. Its a joke site run by incompetent scumbags that want to scam the public and mess with peoples livelihood. Anyone who checks facebook and our other reviews would see the amount of positive feedback Twist gets on a daily basis. Not to mention that all the artist have a clientele that has probably doubled in the past year or two. Also the shop has at least 2 or 3 award winning artist. And ive never heard of anyone being turned away or disrespected because of race. All of the employees are ethnically diverse themselves, and most of them have children or family members that are of different ethnicities. And its clear that the negative reviews were made up in an attempt to bash Twist since there is no truth to these allegations. The people who run YELP are clearly so ignorant that the think people will go out of their way post "fake" positive reviews, but they dont seem to think people will make fake reviews to bash competition. YELP is a scam and its obviously biased and holds to grounds. I will never base any opinion on a yelp review ever again. Its obvious that YELP has failed to provide the service that its intended to. Yelp is suppose to be "public domain" yet YELP feels they can manipulate the publics opinion when they feel like doing so. YELP is a scam. Stick to facebook, other review sites and of course, word of mouth. Thats the way to get the real facts because YELP has clearly failed to relay the truth to the public. read more

I went to Twist to get a tongue piercing that had closed redone. I walked in and w as thrilled with the clean atmosphere. I was greated by Laura (sweerheart) and we discussed my piercing as well as possibly a nose piercing. Even though I am well versed with piercings Laura gave me all the information and patiently answered my questions on their sterilization procedures. As I am a registered nurse and a stickler for cleanliness and procedure. As Laura prepared to pierce me I did observe her asceptic technique which was impeccable. She was very calming during to whole process. I found the other artists to be quite friendly and while working they also seemed to make their customers at ease. I did end up with a tongue and nose piercing that night. They both healed excellently. I returned about 6 months later to have a micro dermal piercing performed again by Laura. I met her apprentice Nick. Again very friendly, knowledgeable, professional and personable as was Nick. I returned again on 11/1 for a medusa piercing and let Nick take a stab at me. I experienced the same knowledge and professionalism as I did with Laura. She has done a wonderful job training Nick. I have several more piercing projects in mind. ,Laura and Nick are my go to people! I am ultimately very pleased with Twist for the professionalism and quality customer. I've seen work by all of the tatto artists and can't wait to work with them on projects either. What I like about Twist is their willingness to push the line of creativity while maintaining a mellow, professional, clean atmosphere. I got two tattoos from this place and both I wasn't a fan off at all but I know its nothing to do with twist itself it's the people that are working there but not All and I say this because yesterday I went back for my third tattoo from this place and I loved the guy who did my tattoo out of all 7 of my tattoos the one I got yesterday was my favorite one I have!!! I forget his name sadly but he was heavy set with dreads and dark skin I recommend him if your going there!! He actually took his time and did an awsome job! Unlike the guy who did the back of my next tattoo total fail! He made me put my head all the way down to tattoo it so when I'm standing and looking straight the tattoo folds in half but if I put my head down to show people it looks normal he rushed it :/ but I was so happy I went back and found the guy I did yesterday he was very good! Moral of the story if you get a bad tattoo at a shop don't bash the shop itself because you give everyone that works in the shop a bad name when it was really just that one guy that sucked!! read more

I recently got my first tattoo at Twist in Nashua NH. A friend of mine recommended a specific artist there named Nato and I would recommend him to anybody. He is exceptionally friendly and treats his clients very well. I have been in tattoo shops before and always felt a bit out of place, but Nato has a way of making everybody feel very welcome. I had showed him a picture of a sunflower and I quote that I wanted to incorporate into it. He drew it up on my back and said if there was anything that I didn't like about, it would not hurt his feelings and to let him know. He really means it and wants his clients to be fully satisfied He works quickly and his free hand is simply amazing. I went into the tattoo shop extremely nervous but just talking to him made me feel at ease because he is sincere and wants you to leave loving your new tattoo. He was very fairly priced and I felt that his station was clean. After having such a great first tattoo experience with Nato, I would not see another artist! read more

Went in with my fiancé today to get tattoos and we were greeted by the store manager who does the piercings who was very kind and helpful.. Then received our tattoos from Lloyd .. Honestly , Lloyd may be one of my favorite people I have ever met. Unbelievably talented tattoo artist and just an awesome, friendly guy all around. He took his time and made sure our work was exactly the way we wanted it. He has a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. I would recommend this shop as well as Lloyd to anyone. I came to twist with one of my friends who was getting a tattoo. I wasnt impressed with the art work or the employees. The artists were too busy joking and talking with each other to get my friends tattoo started. We were there way longer then needed. I also didnt feel comfortable when every time someone left the business the employees would talk down aboit the person not only about paying customers but about the other employees also. I dont think anyone cleans this place either. Their was dust, dirt, trash all over the place. Very unprofessional business. Even if it is tattoos and piercings it is still a business. read more

I love twist I have gone here since they oops bed today I had nado tattoo my finger for a second time and he's really amazing. He really is a great guy, easy to talk to and doesn't make you feel like you can't creatively express your artistic views. We had a lot of conversation on art, tattoos and sketches he has done or could create for me in tattoo. The owner Dave is the man, nick the piercer is also the man he has pierced me numerous times and I love them all my most recent piercing is a tongue ring I am ready to put a new ring in I wouldn't go to anywhere else and I'm excited to have nado as my new artist. read more

Nick did a triple helix, tragus, and nose piercing on me today. He is great about being sterile. He made sure I was comfortable and went through any questions I had. We also had some light conversation which made it feel less awkward that someone was going to be putting needles into me. Not that I honestly have a problem with that anyway. I've been going to Twist since it first opened with a few tattoo's on my body and now I am a Twist billboard. All the Ink pushers are true Artists and Friends. Where else can you go to be part of a family and get awesome ink. As we all know they went through a building transformation and added more booth's. They now do piercings as well.. Had Nato do 2 tats for me and 1 for my friend's daughter who turned 18. Not only is his work amazing but he was concerned about our comfort. Since this was her first tat he was gentle and made sure she was relaxed. The end result? Awesome tats and an awesome experience. He's my new go to artist!
