Bigger sizes would be appreciated though. [Endless Shrimp] "Marry Me" Shrimp - 8.8 / 10 A much, much, better improvement since my last visit a few weeks ago. This had a less greasy crumb topping (which I enjoyed) & more emphasis on the cream + tomato flavor in the sauce. I very much loved the superb temperature that these were served at, pretty close to piping hot. Bravo. Shrimp Scampi - 8.9 / 10 I love that these came with a generous portion of that signature scampi sauce. To me, this is the shrimp lover's dish that showcases the crustacean arguable at its best. Traditional, pure, simple. You can't go wrong with that. I also like that they're never over-cooked. The hot temperature could not be any more perfect. Kudos to the cooks in the back. They nailed it. Shrimp Linguini Alfredo - 9.1 / 10 The sauce was so incredibly creamy & thicker - which is exactly how I want it. I was quite impressed with the generous amount of shrimp that are included. The portion alone is nothing short of plentiful. Walt's Favorite Shrimp. - 9.2 / 10 These came out perfectly & not greasy at all. That breading was so lovely with that well-coated exterior. I know why these are a fan (& Walt's) favorite. I like that these always come with a side of that signature cocktail sauce. Parrot Isle Coconut Shrimp - 9.7 / 10 Still my favorite of the offerings. The size alone of each individual shrimp is nothing to trifle with. The crunchy coconut breading is insanely delicious. Part of me wishes I could just order these by dozen. Seriously, one of the best preparations of shrimp literally anywhere. The "Piña Colada Dipping Sauce" that is served alongside the Parrot Isle Coconut Shrimp is simply divine. I can't stress enough how much I think it would be a brilliant idea that Red Lobster should sell this sauce by the bottle. Key Lime Pie - 9.0 / 10 I've become something of a key lime pie aficionado in the past few months. Their's hit the sweet spot (no pun intended). To me, good key lime is sweet upon the first bite. Then the citrussy sour punch comes with the aftertaste. I particularly liked how well the custardy filling set, but this could be possibly be due to taking it home & allowing it to set for a few hours in my refrigerator. The graham cracker crust was tender & not dry at all. I'm not at all surprised that Briana's section was full to capacity during Friday at lunch time. I haven't been to any Red Lobsters since the major location closures but I was driving back from a trip and decided to stop in the Valencia location near Magic Mountain. Place was packed on a weeknight. Happy hour is 3-6p weeknights (my $5 Mark West Pinot wine was so needed that night while consuming my cheddar biscuits). I ordered a Lobster Shrimp/Salmon plate ($47.99) was so tasty on a huge plate that anyone would need a doggie bag. Lobster tail was so delish which was my favorite. I did like the shrimp and salmon as well. Sides I opted for potato and broccoli. Everything was buttered and seasoned well. My server Roxy was attentive and amazing. I don't get to visit Red Lobster often since there aren't many locations in Los Angeles County, but I happened to be near the Valencia location during happy hour and decided to pop in. I started with a $5, 20-ounce Blue Moon. It was crisp, ice cold, and served in a chilled mug nothing beats that on a 90°+ day. For an appetizer, I asked my server Edwin, who was great, by the way for a recommendation. He mentioned the seafood dip with flatbread or the seafood stuffed mushrooms. I went with the mushrooms. They were served piping hot with melted cheese and a buttery sauce, but the imitation seafood stuffing wasn't my favorite. I'd give them 3/10 for flavor. For my main, I ordered the Mariner's Boil $50.99 and added Cajun sausage (loved the sausage since they were well done) $6.49 plus an Old Bay butter ($3.49) on the side. The boil came with lobster, crab, shrimp, 1/2 dozen red potatoes, and two corn cobs. Edwin suggested mixing the roasted garlic butter with the Cajun butter so good! The crab was sweet and easy to eat, and the shrimp was good. The lobster was decent but a touch undercooked for my taste. There were a lot of red potatoes, but they were undercooked and the corn was clearly frozen and a bit mushy but the butter helped. The atmosphere feels like the early '90s classic Red Lobster nostalgia from back when we'd go for birthdays or graduations. While a little dated, it's part of the charm. And they didn't offer me biscuits not too sure if you're supposed to ask for them either way I didn't get them :( Overall: * Appetizer: 3/10 * Mariner's Boil: 6/10 * Service: 10/10, thank you, Edwin! It had been over 10 years since I've been here and I honestly won't be coming back. The service to the food wasn't great at all, I was actually stunned that the service and inside was so dull not to mention our waiter talking to the other table about his life/family story I just kept wondering if my food will ever arrive. I also asked the hostess to let our waiter know it was my partners birthday and if they could do something for him and she said ok and I even showed her where we sat, so as we paid and waited they never came by with any dessert or happy birthday. If a company is struggling to stay afloat I would think they would hire people that would sound/act like they care. It was warm and good. It wasnt anything like Popeye's biscuit. We ordered the "Lobsterfest Boil" which came with 4 decent sized Maine Lobster tails, a dozen shrimp, some 2 corn on a cob and several red potatoes. For the seasoning, we got the Old Bay and Butter and opt for medium spicy. I cant tolerate super spicy and this one has a kick to it. The flavor of the seasoning was good. Our only complaint was that the shrimp could have been a little bigger. The shrimp that came with our order was really small. Service was great. Our server checked on us a few times and refilled his drink twice. The price is decent being that its seafood. We both had to use the restroom to clean our hands and face to get rid of the shrimp/seafood smell. Yes, there is a weird smell inside the bathroom which I suspect is from their sewage or pipes. The food, I had Walt's Shrimp with a salad (lime vinaigrette was outstanding!) and baked potato and my husband was all about the lobster which he really enjoyed. Had a craving for lobster tail so we decided to grab dinner here this evening. We all haven't been to Red Lobster in forever so we figured why not! Definitely made for great photos. All the food was delicious! The Maine lobster tail was perfect. I always wish they had more to them. I can eat like 3-4 of these probably!! So perfect with the lemon and dunk it in butter. I had some of my bf's garlic butter shrimp which was delicious as well. The dragon shrimp didn't look like the photo. Ours barely had sauce on it but the photo made it look like it was drenched in sauce which is what we expected. The chicken Alfredo was just okay to me. Felt like it needed more flavor. You really can't beat the weekday lunch specials at Red Lobster. I never get a chance to enjoy them, because I'm always at work. However, this location was on our way home from vacation so we got to enjoy the specials. Everything was delicious and service was good. It's been a minute since we've been to Red Lobster. Today, it was an excellent choice. Our waiter, Mark, was really amazing. Kind, patient, & attentive. He was truly exceptional. We enjoyed our meal. I went with lobster pasta which I won't likely do again. The sauce & asparagus were really nice, but I don't care for the mini lobsters and "pieces". Husband did 3 lobsters and seemed to love it all. We had a cocktail as well and those were equally yummy! Great casual spot! read more
