Red Lobster has gone so far downhill !!!! Removed so many items from menu like the shrimp your way where you could choose from 2-4 different shrimp dishes .. The crab legs were horrible.. not even cooked/ heated correctly the meat was almost none existent in the shells . I can heat crab legs much better at home than Red Lobster can .... Ate at Red Lobster today. Got our favorite server Kaylea. She is the best. You don't even have to ask for something because she is like a mindreader and anticipates your needs. Servings are very generous and everything we had was good. There was plenty left over for later meals. You just can't beat those biscuits. This review is for Tuesday March 29, 2022 So I have not really done check-ins for this location but we have ordered here probably 3 or 4 times, with hit o misses with our food. On that Tuesday we had placed an order for the following: Caesar Salad Parrot Isle Jumbo Shrimp Appetizer Cheddar Biscuits Bacon Mac & Cheese Special: 2 Lobster tails and 2 steaks, then added 2 shrimp skewer Overall to run down how the food was, for the salad: Caesar, I wish they would give you more than what they serve you but overall it tastes like it should. The Parrot Isle Jumbo Shrimp Appetizer tastes just like it should The Cheddar Biscuits, no complaints here at all. Bacon Mac & Cheese, sadly we were not really happy with the mac & cheese, it is just okay, not our favorite. The only big issue we had was with the special: Special: 2 Lobster tails and 2 steaks, then added 2 shrimp skewer everything was good here, but the lobster tails were dry as if someone over cooked them. This is not the first time we have had this issue as it has happen before, so either they precook them then reheat in a microwave or the chef needs some serious preparation skills with the lobster tails. The only time we tend to get a meal from here is if they have a special, or other locations we get food from(boils) are closed or our the way. This red lobster happens to be down the street from us. The only reason we do tend to go here, is they are not overly salty as the one from our home town was. So like stated they are a hit or miss when we order, from something not tasting well, to over cooking or using microwave to forgetting an item. Oh before I forget, staff needed training on how to handle customer service issues better. sometimes front staff tries to handle an issue that only a manager can handle. It happens with all establishments at time, but management needs to train their staff on when to handle an issue them self and when to grab a manager. A customer should not have to teach your staff what to do. read more

Went for a quiet birthday dinner, arriving at 5pm on a Tuesday. Very uncrowded, as expected. Seated immediately and had a wonderful waiter. We ordered the Seafood Sampler platter as our appetizer. It was perfect! Shrimp Cocktail, Stuffed Mushrooms and Coconut Shrimp. Very well worth the $12.99 price tag. My hubby ordered the Land & Ses, adding grilled Scallops to the lobster tail and 12 oz. Sirloin. Everything was lovely. The cost was $33.00 plus $7 to add scallops. I had the 4-course dinner consisting of soup, salad, the Coconut Shrimp and Caprese Salad and a dessert all for $16.99. Beautiful! Everything was fresh, correct and tasred fab. We shared my dessert. Total with tax and tip was $108.75. Pricy but the food and service was excellent. Wowza! My husband and I have tried RL all over the United States! We have not found a good decent one until now! The food and Service at the Anderson Red Lobster is amazing! Our server was very attentive to us. He brought out appetizer. We had the mussels. They where delicious! Then he brought out crispy cold delicious Caesar Salads! Yumm hmmm! For dinner I had the snow crab dinner it was amazingly cooked to wear I only had to snap the legs in half and all the meat come sliding out one end! My husband and the king crab with snow crab and crab Pasta! It was amazing he said! This is the absolute best Red Lobster we have eaten at in over 4 years! The service was super slow and they couldn't get my order right- by 'right' I mean they forgot a couple of items and then kept checking back to see how I was doing only to keep realizing that I was still missing part of my order. Tartar sauce is a pretty basic request and after 20 minutes of waiting my food was cold. After 50 minutes of frustration I gave up. I paid my bill and as I was leaving they asked if I'd like to have my food boxed up... that was their solution!!! As I looked around it was obvious that I wasn't the only one having issues. It was my best friend's birthday. Had a great, although the waitress was slow and forgot our beverages and condiments when asked for. Compliments to the chef! I'll be rating red lobster in general. Dark quiet atmosphere which isn't always a bad thing. Good enough service since it wasn't too busy. You can never go wrong with their fresh cheddar biscuits. Dishes are ok. I got the Salmon New Orleans with green beans and mushrooms and rice pilaf. My side of green beans and mushrooms only came with two small pieces of a mushroom and extra buttery green beans with an additional side cup of butter. The salmon comes with pico de gallo which I wish there was more of and A LOT less butter. The plate was still alright. But in general almost everything at red lobster is soaked in butter and could use much less. read more

We had a party of 7 and had the courtesy to call ahead and say we'd be there at 1PM due to waiting times because of restaurants being short staffed. We arrived on time and told the hostess we had called ahead. She immediately started bickering with us saying that they don't take reservations and that it didn't matter whether we called ahead. She definitely needs retraining on how to talk to customers in these situations. Instead of being argumentative and stand offish she and feeling the need to always be correct she needs to learn to make comments like " thanks for calling ahead" or "great we have room for you" when dealing with these situations. read more

Stopped in for lunch with a group of 4 for a business lunch. Our server was. Wry attentive and helpful in picking out selections. We all were fans of the biscuits. I had a crab lobster combo that was great. Everyone really liked their food. The manager Kyle came over and checked on us twice which we all really appreciated. Great place for lunch. Yes, sometimes you have to wait to be seated, but it was worth the wait. I love the Ultimate Seafood dish! The salads are fresh with a good amount of toppings. Terribly poor service... Both times that we have eaten here the appetizers, bisque and entrees all came to the table slightly warm. The only thing delivered hot has been biscuits. The one time that we complained, we were only offered a 20% discount when we only consumed 20% of what was delivered to our table. read more

I was so excited when I received my endless shrimp email yesterday. Well I'm going to review the entire experience for the management of this store. I had about 15 years management experience so I do know what I'm talking about. First of all when we walked in we were amazed it took 5 minutes for someone to come to the hostess stand. Finally a young man emerged and was not even concerned that we had been waiting. We noticed right away only three lobsters in the tank on a Tuesday at 730 pm. I knew that told the story of a poorly operated kitchen as anyone knows full stocking of any item indicates wealth and big sales. Again we wait 5 minutes for our waiter. He appears, we tell him that we came for endless shrimp and ask how many kinds there are? He says let me get you something and gets a pos guide for servers off of the register. Funny. So we get the cheddar bay biscuits and of course they are not fresh and moist but hard and crunchy. Strike 1. I order scampi and Walts shrimp. My wife orders scampi and coconut shrimp. After 15 minutes they appear, remember no one is in the restaurant possible 5 tables tops. My Side is a hard baked potato that had been cooked hours if not days before, I tell the waiter he says..yeah they've been coming out kind of like that all day....can I get you something else? I order mashed, when they come back its an ice cream scoop of potatoes and guess what barely 100 degrees. Barely warm. SMH. The rice was hard and crunchy obviously not made with enough water, so this is strike 123. Strike 4 comes when the Walt's shrimp comes without lemon or cocktail sauce, and it has a sprinkling of sriracha sauce. SMH. It was the Walt's breading yet with a splash of sricha sauce from a cook who doesn't know the difference. My next two shrimp plates were Sricha sauce shrimp, Panko, breaded with a mere splashing of sauce, barely got each piece wet. At least it had the corn flake breading. I had also ordered fettuccini shrimp and this item WAS perfect! The only winner in the entire meal. SAD that RL used to be my favorite restaurant to go. I don't think I will ever go back to a RED Lobster anywhere in the world. This visit got me. After 50 years the thrill is gone... RIP Red Lobster. Update. Not surprised. Well disappointed once again. First stop at this location but not my first Red Lobster experience. This is a newer property with the more updated look that RL has been moving to. The server we had, Gordon, was fantastic. We have enjoyed RL in the past, but the entrees we ordered on this visit left a little to be desired. My wife ordered the coconut shrimp, one of her favorites from other seafood restaurants but a first time order here. She found the coconut breading to be overly sweet and overpowering. The pina colada sauce that came with it, and that was highly recommended by the server, was also too sweet. She finished her meal but I doubt she will order coconut shrimp at RL again. I ordered the lobster stuffed tilapia that is part of the the lobster fest promotion. The tilapia was very tender and moist, and the stuffing was also delicious. But the entire dish was drenched in a cheese sauce that overpowered the seafood. I'd like to order this without the sauce if I choose it again. My daughter ordered the stuffed flounder which she enjoyed. I think I will choose the flounder next time. The cheese biscuits were served a little differently than we're used to. The biscuits were well-browned, so the outside of the biscuit was crunchy, not the soft pull-apart biscuits from other locations. Personally, I liked the biscuits this way. I've always felt that the usual way is undercooked and doughy. But my dinner mates disagreed and wanted the "soft" biscuits. None of this will dissuade me from another RL visit, I'm sure. Did not eat here with the family. Walked in and the hosted attempted to sit us in a dirty table that had not been wiped down. I quickly pointed out another table nearby that had been wiped, and we were sitter and told that they would come with silver ware. I've been going to RL since I was very young. As I grew up I learned that it's not exactly the highest quality seafood you can get, but it's probably the best in Anderson (not saying much) and ok for what it is. For the most part, the food is good. The cheddar bay biscuits are a favorite. A little on the pricey side for the quality perhaps. Service is usually good, occasionally excellent, but the few bad times have been bad enough to make me not go back. After being scammed by a server who told me my Gift Card had no balance when I confirmed beforehand, I had become wary. Now after a second time, I'm not interested in going back. read more

Went for lobster fest and left very disappointed. The lobster was over cooked and portions were extremely small for the price. Server recommended baby potatoe bakers and they were very very very dry and over cooked. nothing looked anywhere near like the menu photos. We spent $100 on a meal that wasn't worth $30. I also had a coupon($12.99 value) for free appitizer, but they would only take $7 off the bill. My wife and I went here to celebrate our 12 year wedding anniversary this past weekend. I have mixed feelings. I would give a 4 for the food and drinks, But there's Good and Ugly. First let me tell you, the waiter was awesome, he was very good. Friendly, patient, and checked up on us numerous times. The food was good, and the drinks were amazing. Now the bad. I had to remind the waiter to bring me out some biscuits. Which are brought out to every table. Then I had to remind him to bring out the broccoli which was one of my sides. They brought out the drinks, then the entree. Wifey and I were so stuck in our conversations and celebrating, we totally forgot we ordered a lobster pizza! The pizza never came out, finally at the end , our waiter says he's going to re-make the pizza Bkuz the original pizza was sitting for awhile and he forgot to bring it out. He took the pizza off the meal, and added it for free. I thought that was very nice. So I did leave a nice tip Bkuz he made up for his error, and noticed it at the end, and made it better.
