Well we have been to this pub twice now, for different reasons. The first being we needed somewhere to eat as we were just passing through the area, so it seemed nice, so we dropped in.
Nice little pub situated off one of the main roads. It appears to have been redesigned inside, with a nice feel to it. New but sticking with an old fashioned style. I would say it's more of an eating pub.
The first time we ate here I had the beef and ale pie, with chips, which was very tasty, whilst my partner had the goats cheese salad, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Too full for puddings, but there was a decent, well priced menu of general pub food. Burgers, steaks , sausage and mash etc etc.
Good selection of wines, but lacking a bit on the beer side of things.
Service was good and friendly.
Overall, it's not somewhere where i would cry out to go there agin, but if i was in the area, then i would stop by. read more
