Pops breakfast

Very nice food. Very nice people. Very little wait time for breakfast. I came in hunger and was not disappointed when I left. I will defiantly be coming back.

A small diner with really good food. Seating is quick, even if there is a line. Service is also attentive and quick.

No. Sub par at best. Bland food. Overpriced. I don't think they will be there long.

The chicken was over roasted. The Apple dumpling my son ate was very doughy and didn't taste like apple

The rolls were hot, and I think the butter had honey and cinnamon...just delicious. The food was awesome. We each had something different and we all loved our meals. To finish, we had the cookie skillet and ate every bite. Landon was our server and he was terrific! Extremely personable and friendly besides being very attentive. We will definitely be back!

On March 1, 2026 myself, my stepdaughter and a very good friend went to this restaurant to…read morecelebrate my stepdaughters birthday. We all wanted to sit in the bar area to have dinner and drinks (the only one ordering alcohol was the birthday girl) and we had presumed we could get happy hour prices from 4-6 pm . This was on Sunday, and my mistake was not knowing that they had opened at 11am. However the problem arose when my friend, who is disabled (she has a rod in her back) asked the young women at the front door whether they had a table available in the bar area, as there would be 3 of us dining and due to her disability she was unable to sit on the barstool. However, the birthday girl would still like to enjoy happy hour prices! Immediately my friend was shut down in a very condescending manner, and told we don't do that! Only people who sit at the bar get happy hour prices. My friend then asked these young ladies to please get their manager, she would be going to the ladies room and would like to speak with a manager upon her return. One of the girls asked her would she like to be walked to the bathroom? She was advised that wasn't necessary, just please provide a manager. I clearly let these young girls know that my friend was not looking for preferential treatment, not looking for a favor, this is THE LAW! One cannot discriminate against the disabled! Now yes, it turns out that we were not in the hours where we could get happy hour prices, and that was absolutely fine. But these young women need to be schooled on the ADA . As it turned out, the manager was a lovely, knowledgeable and kind woman who knew her job well. She explained that they had opened at 11am, therefore happy hour had ended (we arrived at 4pm). But she was professional and courteous. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. My complaint is with the door staff not being made aware of ADA laws and that they are in fact not something they can choose to ignore or enforce at their own discretion.

The grounds are really beautiful and would definitely make a good place to host a wedding or other big event. They make their own cider and beer and their menu features a few gluten free options including GF buns and GF pizza crust with other GF options clearly marked. We ordered the brussel sprouts and buffalo wings to share and my grandma and I split a white pizza on cauliflower crust. The brussels were good but nothing life changing - I do think if they cut them in half they'd have turned out more crispy and less mushy. The buffalo wings were slathered in a delicious sauce and very good. The white pizza was just OK. We asked for chicken to be added but they forgot. The crust was thin but not very crispy. I caught a glimpse of their regular pizzas which looked delicious if you are able to tolerate gluten. I also had the Wyn-mosa, their take on a mimosa. It came with their citrus cider mixed in and it was a really nice combination. They even put a candle in our dessert for my grandma, after I secretly requested it. The food is nothing super memorable but it's a good option if you're in the area.

My wife had the fish and chips. Food was good and plentiful. Service was very good, ate with some old friends, there was no rush, they gave us plenty of space. The menu is varied, specials are not typical fare, but also do not become science projects like so many "creations" do. The food is left to speak for itself. Affordable. Two small criticisms, can be loud in certain areas. They are very accommodating in moving you. The parking lot. Walking over the bridge can be an issue with cars. Worth the trip.

The broth is rich and deeply savory, the cheese pull is perfect, and the crispy rings add a texture you never knew the classic was missing. The pork chop remains the star of the menu--huge, expertly seasoned, and cooked with precision. It's widely considered the best in the city, and honestly might be the best in the state. Juicy, tender, and full of flavor, it's the kind of entrée you end up recommending to friends for weeks. Their octopus is another standout, prepared with surprising delicacy. Tender, not chewy, with a perfect char that adds just the right amount of smokiness. It's balanced, refined, and one of the most memorable small plates you'll find locally. And don't leave without dessert--the crème brûlée is phenomenal. Silky smooth custard under a flawlessly torched sugar crust that cracks just right. Simple, classic, and executed perfectly. Between the inventive dishes and the warm atmosphere, The First Post remains a must-visit for anyone who loves great food done exceptionally well.
