This is a hard review to write, because ambiance is at least 50% of the dining experience to me, and this place had it! Recessed colored ceiling lighting, purple and gold walls, dim lighting ...I was totally digging it. But then the food....oh, so sad! Except for the hot and sour soup, which was amazing!!! Cheap Chinese and even cheaper service. Today I had the worst customer service I have ever received there. I went in to order Chicken Lo Mein with no veggies and white rice. A man took my order as Chow Mein and rang in a double order. He hardly spoke English so I just told him to make it one order and I'll take the chow Mein instead. Then his wife comes up to have me pay and he leaves. She asks "lo Mein or chow Mein? People get them confused" so I said lo Mein and she ran back to change it. Not even 5 min later the food is ready (so I assume it's not very fresh). I get home and open the bag. The lo Mein has veggies and I received brown rice with veggies as well. I called to see if I could have it switched to the right order. The woman got defensive and said "excuse me? you didn't say no veggies. That's not my fault." And I insisted both me and the woman I was with heard me say no veggies, I told her I said it to the man and not her. She huffed and said she'd be right back. She came back and said "my husband didn't hear it. I guess come back and we'll fix it but this isn't our fault." I was getting tired of her attitude and said I just wanted a refund and to take my business elsewhere. She replied with "uh no, this isn't our fault we won't give you a refund. You should have ordered correctly. We will give you other food but no refund." Before hanging up I said "I'm sorry. But this is not how you should treat a customer. You try to fix the problem any way you can and do not blame them. It's safe to say I won't return and will spread the word. You are incredibly disrespectful." Very Friendly Staff.. Everyone gets treated like family. The food is fair priced and very good quality. The best time is during lunch, salad, soup, and meal for $6! The sushi is good quality. It is not anything to rave about but for the price is very fair! read more

You might get frustrated ordering take out on the phone but who are you to judge how well they speak English? If you want to communicate better then it's time you take a lesson how to speak Chinese. I was in the area so I tried Red Lantern. Not impressed. I ordered dinner beef with Broccoli. No flavor no sauce very plan. I think I was given lunch size all in one container a lot of white rice. While I usually trust Yelp reviews, this place made me question the judgement of other Yelp reviewers. I had a craving for sushi and visited around 3 p.m. on Sunday after skipping breakfast and lunch. I went in and was noticed by a 13-year-old boy who told me to sit down then walked away. He didn't walk me to a table, which I found a little odd considering I was the only customer in the place. As soon as I sat down, the 13 year old, brought me a glass of water and asked me what I wanted to order. He came over three times within a five minute period to ask me what I wanted to order. As I was placing my order, he turned around and walked away from to dazzle some customers who just walked in with his great customer service. I ordered a glass of wine with my meal, which he brought me. (Is that even legal?) The food was horrible. There were kids - I'm assuming belonging to the owners - running around, laughing and very annoying. The sushi tasted very old and the dumplings were disgusting. If you are craving sushi, avoid this place as it might ruin the fond memories you already have of delicious sushi. read more
