The food and service is awesome. We came for lunch. My kids loved it. We had the sesame seed chicken, sweet and sour shrimp, and general Taos chicken. The egg drop soup is perfect and the fried rice is really good. read more

Cheap chicken that's all I'll say. I used to come here back in my earlier days with family a lot and have really fond memories of this place. Hadn't gone in years since I grew up moved away etc. First experience back my mom was trying to order she does not speak English and the lady taking her order didnt speak Spanish, she asked the lady if she could get someone that did and the lady responded that there wasn't anyone which fair I suppose if it was true. I had to order myself and between my mom trying to explain what she wanted and me being in the process of driving it was very hard but we got it done. I get there and speak Spanish to the lady at the front and she immediately replied to me in Spanish, in fact most of the staff was speaking Spanish except for one lady in the back which I'm assuming was who answered me but couldn't bother passing the phone to someone else either to be annoying or just plain racism. But we got our food and left. When we got home the sweet and sour chicken was fine a little dry on the inside and the outside was getting soggy but we did have to drive back so I don't blame them too much for that. The fried rice was as amazing as I remembered one of the best to this day in all El Paso. But then I opened the general chicken and no just no. The sauce itself was very good but the chicken was the cheapest quality it was plain black chicken almost didn't look cooked it was disgusting and I fought very hard not to throw it up. Which was surprising cuz the sweet and sour chicken was fine it looked normal. In my opinion if they used better quality chicken it'd be great. The prices are very reasonable but I would not mind in the slightest if they raised prices to have better quality the chicken as it is just wasn't good. The fried rice and the other chickens which look to be made out of pure breast were good. But the general chicken just no. read more

The food was okay here, I do not recommend coming here. The food here is not even all that. The wonton soup is absolutely disgusting, they also drench their meat in sauce. I also caught one of the workers prepping the food at a booth , while touching it with her bare hands , then touching her phone , and back to cutting the food. It is not sanitary at all, it's truly disgusting to show your customer that. Also, the service here is terrible. It was not busy at all and the waitress was not able to handle her section . We probably saw her a total of three times. My over all experience there was terrible and I will not be returning there. read more

Great food and service. They have one of the best egg rolls I've tried in El Paso. Service is also great

Vegetarian food is delicious, they give you options on how you want the tofu. The reason I am giving it 3 stars is because we ordered vegetable fried rice, and they have us one with chicken in it, and didn't even tell us. You would think if you order off the vegetarian menu they would mention that. Besides that, good food, and attentive staff. read more

This is our "go to" place for Chinese- it is consistently excellent. The combination egg fu young is delicious and the War Won Ton soup is a meal in itself. The portions are large and the prices are very reasonable. The owner is a wonderfully nice person and she will greet you and remember you when you become a regular guest. We are very lucky to have this place close to home ! read more

Whaaaat? They have chow funn just like the chop suey houses in Hawaii!! Word! And they deliver?? Double Word!!

Best chinese place in El Paso. We are from Dallas, and we only eat here. Authentic and very tasty ! Try the crispy noodles (Pan Fried Noodles), General Tao's Tofu. read more

Is this the best Chinese I've ever had? No. But it is good and in this wasteland of terrible Chinese places, Red Lantern is a true gem. The lunch special prices simply can't be beat! Definitely recommend! read more

Red Lantern has one of the best "family meal" deals around. The food is consistently good and always fresh. The portion size on the family meal is incredible for the price. My husband and I eat here about twice a month and are never disappointed. read more

I love ordering from Red Lantern for lunch. They offer awesome lunch specials, quick service, and delicious food! I'm a big fan of their curry chicken, spicy noodles, and salt and pepper chicken! read more

This is one Chinese place I always go to. It has really good food that cost next to nothing, easy going atmosphere, but I don't recommend delivery it takes too long. Take out for pick up on the other hand will always be ready when you get there. Its a must try Chinese place better than all the other ones I've been to in El Paso. read more

New to the area. Doesn't seem like there are very good Chinese places, but my husband had a craving. So we went here. Neither of us liked the food. I order pad Thai and hubby ordered orange chicken. The orange chicken was pretty sweet, I didn't mind it but my husband wasn't a fan. The pad Thai was so fishy even though I ordered beef. I am only giving it 3 stars because the restaurant was clean and the service was really nice. read more

Absolute best Chinese in the city. Great value and the quality of the food is excellent. No one makes Sweet and Sour Pork like they do, their crispy chicken is amazing, mex crew chicken, all of it. I moved out of the city, but whenever I'm in town this is my first stop. On one trip I ate there every day! lol. Staff is always friendly and the place is always clean. read more

The chicken was gross! Can I say it was just full of fat! I'm so upset at this place, saw the reviews and expected to finally taste some okay tasting Chinese food but was I wrong. Apparently no one knows good food in El Paso. The service was also horrible. If I could rate lower then 1 star I would. read more

The food is delicious and the prices are great for the amount they serve. I always leave with leftovers.

I placed an order online and they waited 45 minutes to call and tell me I didn't order the minimum for delivery... why not out that on the delivery page then??? Horrible customer service... read more

My wife was jonesing for Chinese food, and forget about it in Alamogordo and Las Cruces, so we tried this place. It was highly rated, and in my opinion, over rated. The service was slow. Granted, there was a large party, but they were well in to their meal, it shouldn't have slowed down things that much. They did not provide the fried rice that I'd requested. The food, overall, was good, but the service pretty much sucked. And for that reason, we'll probably never go there again. There's lots of good restaurants in El Paso that are worth exploring: having been to this one I see no point in returning. read more

Just when you think you find a good place for Chinese food, then it goes south. This place has good food but delivery and management are bad. Placed an order for delivery, over an hour never came. Called to see about food, to be told was delivered to the wrong address and that I was getting more food. Was only offered a 15% discount off my order and still had to wait for it another 20 mins. I mean if you think the food is worth the wait then go ahead, but I will be getting my Chinese fix else where. read more

My usual spot for Chinese take out. I usually get the combo option, where you get two entrees and your choice of rice/noodle. The pork fried rice is very good. A little greasy, but good. General Tso chicken is spicy, but not too spicy, and the sweet and sour chicken is great. Sauce is a bit watery but not a deal breaker. The prices are great for the amount of food. JUST A QUICK TIP IF YOU ORDER DELIVERY: If you decide to pay online and add a tip on your card, it's already included in the final price you sign for on the receipt. It WILL NOT show up on the "tip" line on the receipt. That will be blank. Delivery drivers will tell you the amount is without tip, but don't be fooled. Tip is already included. Just sign. read more

Cheap prices, cheap food! They have lousy customer service too. The owner is too concerned with making money than to correct their mistakes so that customers are happy and bring more business! read more

Celebrated Chinese New Year at Red Lantern and couldn't be happier with the quality of food & service. 100% win eating here!

Large delicious generous portions, great service & prices. Everything on menu if tasty and there is something for everyone.

Large portions fresh vegetables and the delivery was prompt and food was delicious. The kids also enjoyed the food. Orange chicken was a hit with the kiddos. We will definitely eat here again. read more

I ordered takeout Friday night, they told me it would be ready in 10-15 mins. I drove over right then, and it ended up taking them 50 mins. The food itself was average, but they do give a large amount of fried rice read more

I have yet to find a really good Chinese place in El Paso so I thought I'd give this place a try! When I order the dinner I had done take out. My first impression was that the carry out packaging was really nice and the portions were huge. When I started to dig into the food I found that the orange chicken I had got was not all the same size. I had small bites size pieces, but at the same time I had pieces that could've been 4-5 pieces of chicken put together and it could have more flavor to it. My husband had ordered chicken chow mein along with pork fried rice. I've never had chow mein with smaller noodles I've always had thicker noodles and it also tasted weird. The rice definitely could've had more flavor to it but the texture was good. We also got an order of the fried crab rangoons and those were BOMB! All In all I was very disappointed. read more

I started missing my Chinese take out from NJ because there was no place here in El Paso that could compare to it.. until I found out about this place! Delicious Chinese food unlike any of its kind here. Ordered the sesame chicken and beef with broccoli. Two word - on point. This is now my go-to Chinese food take out! read more

Food showed up hot and delicious! The order took exactly 45 mins to arrive (est. time of delivery was an hour). The portions were HUGE. The delivery man was kind. Cant say enough good things about this place! Highly recommend! read more

This is our go to Chinese delivery resteraunt. Everything we've tried has been delicious. I love the lettuce wraps and my husband loves the avocado egg rolls. We usually get the special because it's a good deal but everything on the menu is great. Don't waste your money on delivery from other places just get the best here. read more

Awesome food awesome service. Definitely raised the bar for Chinese food standards in El Paso.

Best Chinese place in El Paso! Their lunch specials are great at under 5 dollars including a cup of soup. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. Portions are huge! This is a must try! read more

My favorite Chinese in el paso. They also have great service. I have been going since it opened.

I ordered an avocado salad for takeout. They took like 30 minutes to make it. It was sour and not tasty at all 7$ to the trash.

First and last time eating food from here. From the rude staff to the full, flavorless meal, this place is just bad all around. And to top it all off, it wasn't cheap either. $30 for a lifeless meal that still has me trying to wash what little flavor is left in my mouth. The only slightly decent thing was their fortune cookie... And that is all you really need to know. read more

This place has the best fried rice in El Paso. They have great family specials and they never disappoint.

Not happy at all. Food was cold, soup was salty. We order fried shrimp and dough was not properly cooked. This place lost their touch.

Honestly one of the absolute worst Chinese places my husband and I have ever eaten. The chicken was mushy and had no real flavor, the soups were cold, the wontons were decent--but also cold. Avoid at all costs. read more

This place is about when. The weekday lunch specials are unbeatable in terms of quality and quantity of food, service and price. 5 Stars during this time. Weekends and evenings (close to closing) are closer to 3 1/2 with the food still being good but the servers don't seem to be on the ball as much. The spicy dishes aren't that hot but they have chili at the table to kick it up. The soups are always very tasty, the hot and sour in particular with the egg drop close behind. read more

Fast, cheap, and a lot of food! It's good for when you're on your lunch break and then leftovers for dinner!

This place was an discouraging, im 5 months pregnant and theses people gave me half cooked orange chicken i was completely pissed how do u serve uncooked food to your customers ill never eat here again read more
