Choosing to work with Wes Kennedy and his team has been one of the best decisions I have ever made…read more My program is tailored to my specific strengths and weaknesses and is always changing to get me where I need to be. My favorite part about working with Wes is the no BS approach. He gives me all the tools I need to aspire, grow, and excel but I am the one responsible to give it 100% every day. Because of coaching from Wes and a lot of hard work I am selected as a Clearance Diver in the CAF and I couldn't be happier.

Finished a consult with Wes. Really had a negative experience with both searching for more…read moreinformation and talking to Wes. Wes uses very heavy handed used car sales man tactics to recruit. Expect to fill out multiple page surveys with a lot of personal information and have a phone call with him before you get any real information. Expect him to ask you multiple times are you a f@#$ yes or f@#$ no to signing up for a 12 month commitment before he will even tell you the cost. Expect to hear some lame analogies about why he won't tell you the cost up front when you ask him. Lots of smoke and mirrors. He will go thru multiple questions such as "what value do you bring to our group" without really explaining what his group is or how it works. He won't answer your questions until you answer all of his. Expect to have to sell yourself to him to be part of his training group. And you better be willing to sign on the dotted line before you hang the phone up. No talking it over with the wife, no sleeping on it, you better make the decision then to sign up for a 12 month commitment or you're not worth his time. Felt like I was talking to a used car salesman with all the heavy handed pressure and sign now or quit wasting my time attitude going on. To save people the hassle and pain of jumping thru all their hoops like I did the breakdown is basically this. Don't expect to work with Wes. He has a wait list and even if you're on the wait list you'll probably end up working with another coach. The only option you have is to sign up for the Facebook group page where he posts a few different workouts. You also get access to the Facebook group where you can interact with other people who are in the program. Cost = $99usd a month with a mandatory 12 month commitment. So $1188 total. If you do decide you are willing to wait for a personal coaching slot to open up the cost will $399 a month. Mandatory 12 month commitment to sign up. So $4788 usd total. And don't forget you better damn well make the decision before you hang up or you're not a good fit. If people have had success with the program then I am sincerely happy for them. However you can find better programs out there for a LOT LESS MONEY. For example SOFLETE which is ran by former special operations members costs $25 usd a month and you can cancel at any time. Gives you an online program, lets you interact with other people just like Wes's program, and some extra stuff on top of that. All information is found up front and the cost is found easily on the website. No smoke and mirrors and a bunch hoops to jump thru. Overall Wes came across like a jerk who acted like he was doing me a big favor even to consider me for his training program. After reflecting on our conversation no way would I choose to work with this group after seeing how they treat potential customers. Also for the price you can find a lot better then what they provide somewhere else.

I've been to Victoria so many times and was running out of things to do, so I was super excited to…read morefind that this was a new addition. I'd been hearing about axe throwing being the cool new thing and my partner was ecstatic as this reminds him of his childhood growing up in the woods. I was even happier to find that prices are reasonable, but slightly concerned I might chop off a toe. I really wanted to try this so I made my partner make reservations ahead of time (I did see quite a few people who tried to walk in turned away). The place is a teeny bit hidden inside a non descript building, but when you first walk in you can see it thru the glass window. We came by a little early and were able to get started early. It's kind of like bowling where you get your own lane and choose your own axe. I was happy to find that they had both bathrooms and wifi available. We received some instruction and coaching throughout our visit. Throwing an axe the exact right way to get it to stick into the wall is tricky. It is certainly something I still need to master, but I was over joyed when I finally got some picture worthy throws near the bulls eye. My partner thinks he is pretty good and is considering joining a league in the future. Even though we don't live in the area the employees were helpful and provided us info about the different kind of leagues and what we could expect if we joined one. I'd definitely check this out again and would even consider it somewhat of a work out.

It seemed simple enough, but there is totally a learning curve!!! Luckily for us, Axe and Grind has people there to coach us through the learning part so we could actually enjoy ourselves by sibling an axe into the target. This made a difference because they don't just send you off to throw axes randomly at wood boards. They explain how to do it, show you how to do it, watch you do it, then help you make adjustments until it starts clicking for you. Once it starts to click, then they teach you how to play the axe throwing game (I.e. what the red lead and blue dots mean and how to score). Once we got the hang out it, the games was super fun!! We even practiced doing the one handed throw. It was appprox. $22 per a person after tax for one hour. But you only need an hour. Lol. Any longer and your arms might hurt!! Usually, you share one lane for 2-4 people. Just like bowling, except with axes. It's like bowling and archery mixed into one game!!! It is hidden so you have to search a bit for the sign to find the location downtown. You also have to find street parking, which is a bummer. But you can always walk around to get your money of parking worth. I heard they get busier at night so we went in the late afternoon before dinner and the night crowd. We got a lane for each of us individually after having to share 2 lanes for 3 people. So was fun and not crowded for us. Def recommend. Something unique and fun to do with your friends and family!! Just remember to wear opened toe shoes. If you don't, they have crocs that you can borrow, but it requires you to wear shoes that strangers have worn before. I suppose nothing diff that bowling shoes, but if you can remember, wear closed toed shoes!

The heat relaxes tight muscles and I can even tolerate summer heat better, now. I knew fitness classes were not my thing, but I took one to make the quota for a challenge. Now I go to a variety of fitness classes nearly every day + go to deep stretch classes. I've had my membership for 3 years, and it's very reasonable. The facility is clean, the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Classes are very comfortable as the lighting is dim and we are always encouraged to work to our own level and not risk injury. I am thrilled with the results of my membership. Classes have improved my strength, mobility, energy and pain levels, skin and mood. It's a happy and comfortable place to go to. As to another review, letting surfaces air dry, rather than rubbing with a cloth is the standard procedure in hospitals for disinfection, as it permits the solution to sit on the surface longer.

I have been to only one class, so I can't say too much about their classes and instructors. The…read moreclass was fairly full so the facility seems popular enough, although I will not go to a class with that instructor again. I noticed that Oxygen has really streamlined the business and minimized costs. It's located in a shopping plaza. It might be different during the day, but for an evening class there were no staff, and the participants waited outdoors for the instructor, then checked themselves in on an iPad. There are no changerooms, just two bathrooms and a single shower (which appeared unused despite this location being 100% hot yoga). We were asked to leave our clothes and valuables by the (locked) front door... there was no other storage for clothes, and I think many people left their coats in their cars. At the end of the class, we were asked to spray our borrowed blocks but no need to wipe them (no paper or cloth towels available - again less overhead costs). I think the owner of this business has a good thing going, from their perspective at least.
