If you want an arrogant, condescending agent who tries to cut corners, prejudge the buyers interested in your property, and is openly rude, Diane's the agent for you. Clearly, Red Hawk Realty thinks she's a fantastic reflection of their quality of service.
Do yourself a favor and find an agent who hasn't already sold her soul for money.
I contacted Diane Means earlier today and asked if I could drive by a piece of land she had listed. I wanted to make sure I liked it before wasting her time. All I needed was a yes or no answer.
Instead, this is what I got:
Me: Hi Diane, I'm interested in ....... Can I go walk the property or is it locked?
Diane: Are you a real estate agent or a contractor?
Me: I'm a buyer
Diane: Are you cash ready or needing a loan?
Me: I haven't decided yet.
Diane: Are you a first time buyer?
(At this point I'm annoyed that she's wasting my time when I asked a very simple yes or no question.)
Me: You haven't really earned the right to ask me this many questions. I'd just like to know if I need to set an appointment to see the property or if I can do a drive-by.
Diane: This property is for experienced buyers not for novices.
Yes I have
This is a challenging build and it's been in two escrows and fallen out.
and it's not for tourists and bored.
(So, from this exchange, Diane assumes I'm a first time buyer, that I want to build on the property, and that I'm a tourist whose bored.)
Me: You definately need some sales training. You don't even know what my plans are for the property, IF I liked it. You didn't even bother to notice I'd be asking you to represent me. But never mind, Ill keep looking. By the way, I've bought raw property before, and I wasn't planning on building a traditional home.
Diane: Go away
Me: You're a truly miserable person.
Diane: Thank you. Get another agent to represent you and we can talk. I will not represent both sides.
Me: You honestly think I would put an offer in on a property you're listing or hire someone you reccomend?
Your arrogance is astounding. No..I'll be posting this exchange.
(She had to have the last word)
Diane: Please, do you know how many offers or buyers I have had on this parcel. You need to reflect on you on your response to real questions.
(She says it likes it a question, but puts a full stop as a punctuation.)
Me: Do yourself a favor and stop now.
Diane could have simply answered my question. If I had driven by the property, liked it and contacted her, it would have then been appropriate for her to asked me the types of questions listed here.
Diane's behavior is a classic example of a lazy salesperson who wants to cut corners. And her clients pay the price. Pre-judging customers is an enormous mistake.
She complains the property fell out of escrow twice, the classic sign of a lazy agent. Then she brags about all the offers she has in a terrible attempt at a takeaway close. read more
