I've now been a patient for over six years and have consistently been impressed with the service, fair pricing, honest consultations and treatment plans. Dr. Brightside is gentle, kind, and highly experienced -- whether it's fillings or more extensive procedures. She is always there for my appointments, which I truly appreciate and find reassuring. Nancy has been my hygienist for quite some time and she is incredibly thorough, friendly, and always offers helpful suggestions for at-home care between appointments. I genuinely feel well cared for every visit and highly recommend Brightside Dentistry.

We moved from out of state and were in need of a knowledgeable, kind, and amazing office for our family of 4. Luckily we found that with Brightside Dentistry! From start to end, there's an emphasis on kindness and quality. Initially, I didn't have an appointment until December but they got me in last week from their cancellation list. Last week I met Nancy, the most rockstar of all dental hygienists in all the land. We got along like old friends and I could tell I could trust them. They even checked my head and neck for medical issues, which my former dental office never did. Dr. Brightside is fantastic as well! So happy I found this office! I've never been excited about the dentist, but here we are!

I even kept coming back here for care when I moved out of state for college instead of finding a dentist closer to home. That's how much I trusted them. Unfortunately, I can't recommend them anymore. They're not transparent about pricing, their bedside manner has seriously declined, and the whole experience now just feels off. I went in for a routine cleaning and X-rays--which should have been covered by insurance--and somehow ended up with a $200 bill because they decided to do a different type of X-ray without telling me. No heads up, no consent, just a surprise charge. On top of that, the hygienists seem completely unconcerned with patient comfort. Going to the dentist is already anxiety-inducing for a lot of people, and basic compassion should be part of the job in any medical setting. That's not the vibe here anymore. It feels more like you're being rushed through and "sit still and get it over with," rather than anyone checking in to make sure you're okay. Another time, they told me I had eight cavities, needed a root canal, and had several other areas to "watch." I got a second opinion, and the other dentist looked at me like I was out of my mind. None of that work was necessary. That alone was enough to make me question continuing care with them. The final straw for me was my most recent visit. My permanent retainer had popped out, and this was the only place I could get into that weekend. I booked a cleaning and exam and agreed to have a new permanent retainer installed. They charged me $860 for basically a small piece of metal cemented to the back of my teeth. I walked out to my car and honestly just sat there in shock because I had just spent nearly $1,000 that I wasn't expecting. I called my orthodontist, the one who originally installed my retainer, and they told me even on the high end it should've been around $350, and closer to $170 on the low end. I went back inside and explained the situation. When they pushed back, I told them they could take it out then because I wasn't paying that and I would go somewhere else. I understand they're not an orthodontist office, but $860 felt ridiculous. They ended up refunding me half, which honestly just made it feel worse. If you're willing to accept around $400, why were you charging nearly $900 in the first place? To top it off, I decided to switch providers and requested copies of my X-rays. The records I already paid for. I called three days ago, dealt with a pretty rude front desk interaction, gave them my email, and still haven't received anything. So now I get to call again and chase down my own records. I didn't even want to write this review. I was ready to just move on. But between the lack of transparency, the pricing, the way patients are treated, and the constant hassle, it feels like people should know. Clocktower used to care about their patients. Now it feels like they just see dollar signs. There are much better dental offices in the area than this place anyway.

We relocated to the area a couple of years ago and have put off finding a dentist until now. I just knew that I was going to get judged and reprimanded for avoiding the standard 6 month cleanings and check ups for so long. However, that wasn't the case at all. First, when I called and spoke with a lovely lady on the phone she was able to get my family members in the following day or very soon afterwards. (There are 5 of us). At my appointment this afternoon I felt that the Dr really took time with me and asked questions. My previous experience with dentists is that they come up behind you while you're lying in a chair with a mask on their face. They never spoke with me, did the drill thing and vanished. I couldn't pick them out in a line up. But, this Dr spoke with me and made me feel like my care was important to him. I was examined and my cleaning was awesome. Everything was explained to me in a way I could understand. I felt comfortable to ask questions. Everything on the billing looked correct and I even asked for a reprint of my daughters bill, she had been there the previous day, to submit for reimbursement to our FSA, and the nice lady at the desk did it with no problems. I look forward to seeing and doing business with our new family dentist and his group. Thank you for the wonderful service and making going to the dentist not so bad after all.

Class act in handling client experience! This was truly the worst dental experience I have ever had. I usually enjoy going to the dentist and having my teeth cleaned. And this was a borderline traumatic experience. To start, I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment and didn't get taken back for my appointment until 15 minutes after my scheduled time. Two people that showed up after me got taken back before me. Then once my X-rays were finished, the Dr came in and explained that I needed a scaling, which was fine. HOWEVER, she did not warn me at all of what this procedure was going to be. First, the hygienist that did my cleaned was so rough on my teeth and gums that I wanted to jump out of the chair. She didn't introduce herself or have any chair side manner to speak of. Then, they begin this scaling and it was so incredibly painful. I had no warning of the pain that I might feel or options for local numbing or anything. It was horrible. The place itself looks run down, and old. And wasn't at all a comforting or inviting experience. The ONLY redeeming factor about this place was Levi, the tech who took my X-rays. He was warm, and kind.. just the thing you want at the dentist. I'm not sure what happened and why he wasn't my hygienist, though I did overhear that the woman who did my cleaning beat him to it, as if it were some sort of competition. I have never had any sort of dental fear or phobia, but after going to a place like this I realize why people do, and I realize how lucky I have been to always have great dentists. I will not be returning to this office. And I wouldn't recommend anyone who had dental fears step foot in this place.
