Then the medical review begins with Ms Christina. She is a good historian and very attentive. PA Patel comes in next and is a blessing! He puts my at ease and he is compassionate, empathetic, genuine, and a great listener. He allowed me to be interactive with my care and he made my fears melt away. I did not feel judged, criticized, doubted, or rushed. He took time to make sure that we got to know each other, know the plan, and know we could be a good team! I appreciated this medical encounter and I have confidence in the care that I received today! I feel blessed to have this team added to my medical community. She saw a doctor for a few minutes and he said she probably just had a cold and that was it. My mom's symptoms were not of a typical cold. Looking back now, my mom probably had Covid-19. I myself came here some years ago when I was sick and didn't want to bother with an ER. They did some blood work and the next day told me I probably just needed to see a kidney specialist. I went to an ER which I should have from jump and my situation was way worse than I thought. I had renal failure! There were no openings at any of the MinuteClinics and walk-in waits were upwards of 1 hour. I looked around and Yelp helped me find this clinic. I've been to this shopping center hundreds of times and obliviously missed that this exists, maybe because nowhere in the signage does it say "Urgent Care". There were only a few patients on a Sunday afternoon, and I was checked in right away by a friendly young male staff who had the normal requests for information, ID, insurance, and signatures on disclaimers too long to read. A cordial and helpful doctor's assistant took my vitals, led me to a patient room, and a PA-C came in within minutes to do an assessment. The entire visit was under 30 minutes and I was pleasantly surprised how fast, courteous, and professional everyone was and how convenient this facility is. The cost of the visit and tests will of course vary based on your insurance plan, but luckily it did not cost me an arm and a leg. I hope to not have a need to visit again for illness but if I had to pick a place for such a need I would choose this one.

I wish this was the standard of care but I'm afraid the amount of time he spends with his patients is no longer supported by the American healthcare system. My children love their appointments and my five year old cried in the car recently because she couldn't go back for a year and she wanted more shots. That's not normal. It's just how good he is. I've seen people strapping kids down to administer even the oral vaccinations at a closer clinic where Dr. Darden plays with them and delivers it as close to no tears as you can get. L.: (1) She didn't wash her hands upon entering the room (2) She deliberately pressed upon the fractured area to see if it hurt (of course, it's a fracture) when she could have started more gently (3) She continued to make limited eye contact, which made me lose confidence in her; she lacks bedside manner and empathy. (4) I got the impression she was just passing through and made a pitstop on her way. Perhaps she had some other pressing personal or medical engagement. One star.
