The unprofessional nature of the communication also left me feeling uncomfortable moving forward with the project. Because the date had not actually been secured, no work had begun, and I no longer felt comfortable working together, I requested a refund of my deposit. Despite multiple texts and phone calls, I have yet to receive it. I understand that scheduling issues can happen, but the lack of communication, last-minute cancellation, and failure to return my deposit have resulted in this one star review.

Not long after I moved in, part of the stucco ceiling on the front porch crashed to the ground. I think it goes without saying that it was a revolting and unexpected development. I requested quotes from the usual North Shore/north suburban firms. I received mostly eye-watering quotes that seemed completely unreasonable to me as a commercial property manager and real estate broker. Insurance and industry estimates were around a third of what many of the quotes were. Lilian Touch came out and quickly drafted a quote. They respected my desire to do a patch since we are undecided regarding how long we intend to stay and what we ultimately want to do with the exterior. Once we decided, Rafael was able to get me on the schedule quickly and they were able to complete a stellar job in just two days. Rafael and Lilian were not the least expensive quote, but I felt entirely comfortable with their estimate and I trusted them to stand behind their craftsmanship.
