We arrived as soon as they opened on a Sunday & we were immediately impressed with the sporty yet warm atmosphere. We ordered the Chicken Ranch Wrap with Chive fries & a Reuben with Onion rings. Everything was absolutely outstanding, in fact I'd rate both sandwiches as top 5 all time, possibly top 3. Our Bartender/server, Kay, was quite friendly & did a great job of taking care of us. Johans is quite a gem & we are excited to go back soon.

I was told that they only had burgers and that I wouldn't be able to find something here (since I don't eat beef/ pork)... I DID! They had a chicken or a fish sandwich. I had the chicken sandwich. Prices are reasonable and I was told they now make their buns from scratch!! They tasted fresh! Was it my favorite grilled chicken sandwich ever? No, but I was so happy they had one! I love love love the pickles on the counters and tables for you to add to your burgers. I am a pickle lover and yes, I added pickles to my chicken sandwich! Also, Get onion rings!!! I am still fantasizing about them! So crispy and seasoned to perfection. Drooling right now. Overall, they are a well oiled machine. We were in there after a funeral and only 2 people working. We were able to get served and one cooked everything. My family is large and we packed the place. They did amazing! Thanks again for the chicken sandwich, the pickles and the amazing onion rings!!! Oh yes... and 1919 rootbeer on tap! Win! You can also get a Heggie's, but with their burgers... get one or two of those instead!

I specifically made a visit after reading some reviews on their burger. This simple bar burger comes on a nice soft bun and topped with melty cheese. The bar top and tables throughout all have bins of pickles to add, which is think is awesome. The burger was decent but for the ridiculously cheap price it was excellent. The crinkle fries were perfectly fried. This burger would be a show stopper if they didn't use a frozen patty. It is a small town, local bar and they are keeping cost down and I appreciate that. I don't know if it makes sense to charge a buck or two more and use fresh ground??? I really enjoyed the space and the feel of the bar. The staff were friendly considering I was an out of towner.

When we got there, it was semi busy but not crazy. Wait staff were great at stopping and checking, being attentive. Food came and it was all pretty good. I love wraps, and I love burgers so I got the burger wrap. The combination was good... but not the best. My wife loved her burger so I'll keep the 2 loves separate going forward. As we started finishing up, the place got really really busy as it was bingo night! It was very telling on who were the regular bingo goers as there were 3-4 tables of 6 people who had all their own, personal dobbers. That's great to have that consistency in business... however... The 3 stars was considered because as those 3 significant tables settled in, they demanded and received the full attention of the only 2 servers available, leaving about 5-6 other tables of non-regulars, non-bingo players who just happened to be in the area and decide to swing in for some dinner; much like us. The service for us and the other tables drastically changed and we waited an extra 30 mins as we kept trying to provide payment to our server who kept walking by, trying to attend to the needs of the "regulars". It was a great small townie bar and I miss living in a small town because of that. However, when we're road tripping and stop at places like this, it's important to remember even though you have your regulars... it's the out of town era like us that spread the word of small businesses like this and proved the addition outside flow. We will be back though!

It was clear from the staff prepping, this place is hopping for dinner. It was still quiet when we walked in. Apparently back road day drinking is less of a thing in this area? We started with a cold beer to wash the trail dust from our parched throats. Good selection of local crafts and the staples, ice cold, in frosty glasses. They have a popcorn machine in the corner! This is a real plus for us. We feel it's important to replace the salt you lose on the trail (yep, it's a BMW but we had the windows open!). We both went with burgers for dinner. They have a nice selection of burgers, sandwiches, salads and even some entrees on the menu. Our burgers were creative and done perfectly. We bid the friendly bartended adios and hit the trail. We'll be back to the Boonies when our travels bring us back to these parts!
