The owners were very friendly and had pity on me, allowing me to take a quick walk around to see what they had inside. The lady at the register told me that they had been closed the past few months (as many small businesses are here in the winter) and had just reopened. She told me that she was dusting and getting things in order. For the record, this is one of THE cleanest, well organized, laid out vintage, antique stores you will ever visit. I have posted many pics of what I saw on Saturday but please be aware, if you see something, you MUST buy it on the spot. If you don't, I can almost promise you it won't be there next time. They have a nice mixture of antiques, vintage, new, collectible and locally made handicrafts. You can use credit cards (YAY!!) and here's the best part, the prices are very reasonable....so much so that I thought there were typos on the little tags on the pieces I bought. Many times, shops like these gouge customers on prices and they can be unreasonably high, not so here. I try and stop at all the little shops that I see in my daily travels. Also, with the upcoming holidays, you can find table settings, serving pieces, that will make your table an elegant showpiece. The ladies who staff the store, are a delight. They are always excited to assist you and really love it when you share stories of your purchases. My most recent purchase, a large tea towel called, Bartenders Guide, is going to be framed. When I told the owner what I going to do, she asked me to send her a pic when it was completed. She was almost as excited as I was to find this towel and to do something creative with it. If you like to entertain, you gotta shop at Tallulahs. I guarantee you will not be able to walk out empty handed.
