Absolute disgrace. The property is externally scary; I stayed because my room was clean enough…read more However the next day I got back from work and the room hadn't been cleaned. Called the desk, they said the cleaning staff was gone for the day, and gave me some towels. The next day I got back and my key didn't work. The office fixed that, I went to my room and it hadn't been cleaned AGAIN. I packed up and left. Unbelievable to me why Windham allows this property to continue to use its name.

This is an aging property that has been poorly maintained. Our room on the first floor (king size…read morebed) was fine, but the crumbling paint, moldy shower, cracked wood on the old doors, along with other elements, don't provide much confidence in the place. Additionally, the exterior of the building and the hallways, entrance/exits are downright gross and decrepit. The stairwell smelled like ashy hookah coals and dirty pool water. The hallway outside our door smelled so strongly of marijuana. When we got there, the heavy floral scent at the checkin was overwhelming. All those smells got better over our two night stay, and thankfully our room did not smell of any of those things. Air conditioner worked well as did the mini fridge with freezer. Water was hot most of the time. I saw a couple ants, but no other insects inside. Bed was clean, but I felt better about the room after wiping surfaces and some of the shower down with Lysol wipes. Bring shower shoes. Although breakfast is listed as included, no breakfast was provided as far as I could tell, and there were only decaf coffee pods in the room. Generally this is a fine, subpar and cheap place if you don't need to stay in your room for much of your stay.

The owners of the in were so nice and accommodating. They were great at hosting and give the guest their space. The meal and presentation was so nice. We also got to take a tour of the inn and it was so beautiful. Hopefully in the future we will get to come back and stay here!

We had never stayed at a bed and breakfast and weren't sure what to expect. This place exceeded our expectations. The mansion itself is beautiful. Every time we walked around the house we discovered more treasures, everything from the molding to antique pieces. The property has a lovely view of the Erie Canal. Each morning there was coffee waiting or us outside our door on a beautifully arranged tray. Then we went down to breakfast. I hate to repeat myself but the table was also beautifully arranged. We tried several different dishes during our stay, each one delicious. Our host, John and Rebecca, were there for our every need, without being intrusive. After running around all day It was so relaxing to return to our room each night. We asked several relatives to stop by and see the place. Our Aunt was thrilled as she had driven by hundreds of times and never been inside. She was not disappointed. One extra point. They have a friendly dog named Riley who helped us forget how much we missed our own pets. We plan to return here each time we return to Syracuse.
