Red Beard hit all those requirements and more. I liked it so much that I bought a shirt for my oldest. Cool merch is always a plus. f you have ever been to Mojo Coffee on Magazine Street in New Orleans, Red Beard will have a familiar vibe. It is classy while still slightly divey. It is the kind of place you could sit for hours in your own little world, or strike up a conversation with a stranger. Yeah, it's that kind of place. The coffee was excellent. I'd rank their cold brew with any I have ever had before. It was strong without being overly bitter and got the caffeine in quickly and smoothly. Extra points for having a motorcycle above the bathrooms. You can't get much cooler than that. If you are in Dodge City and need coffee, Red Beard should be where you go.

We were in Dodge City for a week and were fortunate enough to find this gem. The coffee was outstanding, latte for me and half syrup "shiver me timbers" for my wife. They do the drink/milk just right. Even better was Clinton, the "red beard ". We asked about local restaurants and sights to see and he was so helpful and nice. We stopped a couple of times that week but were disappointed they were closed Sunday when we left town because we were hoping to enjoy one last time on the way out. Try this place! read more

An absolute gem in Dodge City! Fantastic coffee roaster with a variety of beans, great brewed drinks as well as smoothies and cafe foods. Their merch is also so cool and we got a shirt. Cool mugs and local goods too. Definitely recommend if you're in this corner of the world! read more

Not the best. No longer serve some menu items but I guess they haven't gotten around to updating the big menu board. No masks at all which I guess is somewhat standard in Kansas although usually the employees have them. No real local charm. read more

Wow! This place exists? Traveling and found this place in a small town. From Chicago, I would call this town, the middle of nowhere. Very cool coffee shop with great staff and beverages. And... those sticky buns. Well, just save your time and effort and buy 2. They are killer and you will want another, they are not small either. -Couldn't find one in the area, but feel free to skip out on starbucks if you are passing through this area. You won't be disappointed with the Red Beard! read more

I love this incredible little coffee spot. It's so cute inside, they have multiple vegan mills, and the my drink was incredible! I tried the Cinnamon Bun drink. This is a local, Christian based, coffee shop- located in Dodge City KS. The environment is always very uplifting as you walk in and the customer service exceeds expectations almost every time. It can be more pricey than other coffee shops but the quality of their products make up for it. Ordering is always quick and easy. They also do door dash but it is more difficult to make adjustments to your order via door dash. In person it is quite easy. However, they are growing quickly and during the morning rush- often run out of seats. They would also benefit by adding a drive through. If you're looking for a calm, local, and just kind environment to get your coffee- look no further. Red Beard has you covered. read more

This has been a very difficult year for me. Many trials and tribulations. We are on our way to Arizona, where we have decided to move and start a New Year fresh. We are praying for the sale of our house in Minnesota. I thank God that he directed us to this coffee shop. With the great "city lifestyle" nostalgia this place hits close to home. I've probably visited this coffee regularly, to the point where its almost like a second Walmart to me (and that means a lot if you're from Dodge city). The atmosphere is perfect, the layout and design of the place is incredible and really welled planned. This place pops out from anything Dodge has. The coffee is really enjoyable and authentic, the staff are really friendly and just good at providing the best service in a coffee shop that will probably make you feel bad if you didn't leave a tip during your visit. Great coffee, friendly staff, and a great place to sit and enjoy the moment. My kids have loved to go to "chalkboard", as they call it, ever since they were very small and color on the large chalkboard on the wall. We also love the events they host around the holidays! read more
