More specialized than the chain stores that usually carry a broad based product selection, these stores are geared more for the local market, not the mass market. They do sale chickens and ducks in season, feed, veterinarian items including the meds and vaccinations, lots of pet supplies, horse tack, cattle items, etc. We went for a specific mouse bait that is very hard to find, chain stores won't carry it anymore. This location had it, and for way less than we could find online or in other coops. Staff was very helpful, young lady's were friendly and social. Store was clean and well kept. We did check the dog and cat foods that we normally purchase, Blue Buffalo brand, they carry it, tho it's a bit more expensive than the box chain stores. Definitely a place to stop for more specialized items.

The clerk walked out the store went to the right of the store which there's no propane tank there as I was sitting to the left of the store where the propane tank was he walked back into the store and nobody came out to tell me that they could not sell me propane. I called the store and the girl that answered the phone said sorry we're out of propane. Why did they not tell me that when I was in the store. So now they have lost a customer I will never come and get propane at the store again.

I walked in 20 min to close. I was immediately greeted with a smile. I was then assisted to find what I needed for my animals. I bought vaccines and was asked how far of a drive I had. When I answered, they dug an ice pack out for me and included it at no extra charge. The cost of everything here is very reasonable and good quality. The vaccines are the same manufacturer as the ones my vet uses.

Then I started going here. The difference is unbelievable. Vegetables taste like they used to. Other than the always great tomato's, they always have avocado's that are ready to go, not bright green ones you have to sit on the counter for a week waiting for them to get ripe. They also have a lot of premade stuff, like queso, chicken and potato salads, a reach in fridge full of stuff. They also have a good selection of plants for sale. Just about any produce item, and many fruits, are all here and all quality stuff. Once you start getting produce from here, you'll never buy any mass produced crap from the other stores again. Now, with that being said, the lady who was working was very dry and didn't seem interested in helping us or didn't provide answers to our questions. I felt this way inside the store (and kept my thoughts to myself). When we left my son mentioned that he wanted to ask if they were hiring but he didn't think the lady felt like talking today, lol. On the others side they had all of the trees and bushes, some we've not see elsewhere. They had a Chocolate Mimosa tree that we've been wanting for our lot, tho no price, and we forgot to ask. They had a weeping peach tree, super cool, haven't seen one of those, it had fruit on it as well, tho online sites say the fruit is purely decorative only and not edible. Prices were actually really good, especially on the perineal flowers and the bushes. $8.00 for some of the 1 gallon plants, and all are well grown and healthy. Can beat that price elsewhere. We talked to some of the staff for some time in the office about plants and landscaping, listen to them and them listening to us in regard to our extensive landscaping at our residence. We wanted to see about a Cascade Falls Cypress, which is a weeping cypress tree, they didn't have any in stock, that's no fault of there's, as it's a rare tree that's hard to find, partly because they take years of growth before they can even sale a 3 foot tree. They have a supplier that has them but can't get any until next year. We will return to check on that tree as well as get some other good deals. They have a lot of hardscape items, flagstone, landscape stone, rocks, etc. this is a really nice place.

Most of the things you get from them are half dead and stressed before you get them home. However, A & M nursery plants just blow my mind! I can buy just one plant now and know that when I get home it will have been cared for and it will live in my garden. instead of buying three and hoping one will live. The family is so friendly and anxious to help. The selection is amazing. But the most important thing is the plant material is beautiful and healthy after you get it home and it will continue to live. I can't wait to my next visit!!! PS: if you think their prices are too high, then take a minute and realize how each plant started as a seed or a cutting has been cared for to be the magnificent plants you get to take home. For my money, the best place hands-down!!
