No, we were rudely greeted with "where's your ID's, I need to see them". No hello nothing like that. I asked oh do you ask to see everyone's ID when they immediately walked through the door?? I understand it's the law & we gladly showed you our ID's but you need to change your approach & learn some hospitality. We will never be back, I've never been greeted so much animosity.

Landon Winery was near by and we stopped in. The place is big but with that small town, historic vibe. Very relaxing atmosphere. I got a glass of Tempranillo and she had a frozen "Swirl" - a blend of peach and sangria. That was good. My glass was excellent. They have a nice food menu as well. We'll come back when we're not full from "brunch". You can get drink to go as well - I guess the city is good with sip-n-stole. Service was outstanding. Pricing is on par for this type establishment - drinks were $33. before tip. I don't think there would be ideal for kids, but that's just a guess. Definitely will be back when in town.

This is my first time entering Ivanhoe and Homestead winery. I'll do a separate yelp review for…read moreHomestead since we're talking wines on that side and beers on this one. What actually prompted me to come here today was my disappointment with 903. I had gone there with my wife for their Oktoberfest and to pick up a collectible stein and again, even though I got there much earlier, they supposedly were already sold out even though for the whole 45 minutes to an hour that I was there, I kept seeing other people being given Steins, but that's gonna be on my 903 review. This is all about Ivanhoe. So after leaving Sherman disappointed, we decided to hit Main Street liquor to pick up some Buffalo trace which is pretty much hard to find everywhere around here. After that, my wife had suggested we check out Homestead winery. We walked in through Ivanhoe and were pleasantly surprised with the fact they were doing Oktoberfest as well and had a really nice decorated brew hall. The ladies were dressed to impress and very politely offered me a stein, and I did a double pour of their Märzen. It was so much better than the one I had just had not even half an hour ago down the street at 903. That one was watery and flat tasting, this one had all of the hints and notes of a good solid Märzen. I was very impressed with it and also their level of service. Very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately we have missed the Oktoberfest band, but we did stick around to catch Van Ulrich in the evening, ended up staying there for several hours and drinking more beers and wine from their neighbors. I also tried their peanut butter stout which I also found to be delicious. 2 for 2! I believe we were helped by Anna. She was really friendly and even sat down with us for a bit. The whole time we were there, we felt like we were in someone's house as friends sharing a drink, which is the feeling that all brew and wineries, no matter how big or small, should strive for. We will definitely be going back again very soon thank you.

After promoting their "summer kickoff" specials, we had plans to meet friends here to enjoy. Upon walking in, the place was nearly empty except for one other patron. It was dark, around half the lights were out. We approached the bar and waited... and waited. We went to the winery side to see if there was anyone, and there wasn't any employees there either. Went back to the bar side to wait again, and eventually got fed up and left altogether. Now I'm not sure if we would give it another chance. I was quite disappointed after enjoying our first time there

We pulled in about an hour before closing--just the brewery open--and still got the kind of hospitality you usually only get from family members who actually like you. Met the owners, heard the incredible story behind their Instigator beer--a powerful tribute to a fallen soldier--and instantly understood why the place has so much heart. Oh, and the beer itself? Legit fantastic. The merch was dangerously cool. We grabbed shirts for the pups, who also scored Puppy Lattes because apparently they're influencers now. We stayed overnight in our Airstream through Harvest Host, slept great, and woke up already wishing we'd arrived earlier. Would absolutely go out of our way to come back.
