It does mean that its selection is pretty limited, but I walked in to find some unexpected surprises on a random stop. I won't say what they were, but Larry's get props for not over-charging on hard-to-find bourbon like so many places - especially smaller shops - do. Nope, these gems were sitting there marked at very reasonable prices (not big box store prices, obviously, but not 3x or 4x what they should cost by any means). Nice staff and a decent selection for how small they are. Fun little hunting stop that I remember fondly.

Palm trees, tiki vibes, cold drinks, live music, and a laid-back atmosphere that makes you forget what day it is. We came hungry and went straight for the burgers, and they absolutely delivered. These Angus burgers were ridiculously juicy, packed with flavor, and cooked exactly the way a great burger should be. The kind that leaves juice running down your hands and zero regrets on your plate. Pair that with house-brewed craft beer, lake views, and a breeze coming off the water, and you've got the recipe for a perfect summer stop. Lake life. Burger life. Tiki life. This place checks every box.

I drove those extra miles to get a Petey's Bing, which is a caffeinated beverage that comes in four flavors. They only had one flavor, but good enough. The employee who helped me was very friendly and said he bought Petey's Bing by the case. He also told me that another store across town has three of the four flavors. Pretty cool considering it's a competitor. I'm giving four stars instead of five because the cashier wasn't friendly at all. It seemed obvious she didn't like out-of-towners playing at the casino. But the fried chicken was good. This is not my most interesting review, but I'm writing it between hands while playing in a poker event. As a side note, the people in this area walk slower than anywhere I have ever seen. In my mind, I want to knock them over, but in real life, I offer a friendly smile. People are rarely as they seem.

However, when I walked up to the register, there was a customer who kept staring at me. I had just come from the gym, including a run, so I was wearing gym clothes and sweaty. The look he gave me wasn't friendly. It said, "You not from around here, boy!" This was a heavy fellow wearing hunting clothes and a tattoo on his neck. I said, "How's it going?" He just nodded and walked out with his items. I tried to joke about this with cashier, but she just stared at me. Not a bad stare, just blank. The four stars has nothing to do with the customer but the potential need for power-washing.
