Huge selection of rubber mulch in all different colors little out-of-the-way, but not too hard to find

A few weeks ago, I found myself in the unenviable position of having a set of tires of which I needed to dispose. I didn't realize that tires have been banned from Illinois landfills, so I couldn't just throw them into or alongside my garbage cans. After doing a bit of research online, I came across this business, Recycled Rubber Products, and I was elated to learn that they would take those four tires from me for a mere $2.50/tire. I called late in the day, and traffic had pushed my timetable back so that I would be arriving after their posted closing time, but after calling them to inform them of my situation, the woman (the owner of the repurposing component of this business) explained that she would happily remain onsite until I arrived. I was THRILLED once I rolled the last time out of my truck; I had reclaimed the space that four useless rubber rings had been taking up in my garage, and that was enough to warrant a 5-star review in-and-of-itself. However, I was even more pleased when I learned what this company was going to be doing with my tires: turning it into the bedding/lining material you would find in playgrounds! While I was onsite (again, after the business should have been closed and she should have been well on her way home), the owner even went out of her way to grab a few samples (red, blue, and yellow variants) for me to marvel over. If you ever find yourself in the same predicament, needing to throw away tires without knowing where to turn, do yourself a favor as I did and take them to this location. You'll be very happy to be relieved of your burdensome rubber, but you'll be even happier knowing what will become of them in the future! read more

We ordered from this company last year and were happy , so much so we wanted to order again . We ordered 2,000lbs last season and received a quote this season for 1,000lbs and it was more than the 2,000 we originally ordered. I understand that prices rise and Covid has had an impact but I'm disappointed in the communication from the company . I sent several follow up emails asking if they would offer any discount since we are returning customers . I was hoping for a simple response so we can move on and explore other quotes , but am yet to receive anything . I feel that they have great products but would not recommend them due to their customer service and lack of commitment and communication to past customers . read more

I am a teacher and we just ordered several tons of rubber mulch from this company for our school playground. I was impressed with Recycled Rubber Products from the beginning to the end of our project. They were gracious and helpful with all of our (many) questions; never making us feel uncomfortable or like we were an annoyance. Now that our mulch has been installed, I am even more satisfied with this company and their product. It is very high quality! We ordered the Rustic Redwood and it really does not look like old tires. It is absolutely beautiful and really improves the appearance of our playground. In addition, the rubber mulch almost "bounces" as you walk. Most importantly, we have had many children playing on our playground and we have had very, very few injuries (and none of them a result of the mulch itself) from falling on the rubber mulch. In comparison to wood mulch, rubber mulch easily is the safer choice! I too was concerned about the metal bits that *could* be left, but we have not seen even one small bit yet (and we have intentionally looked). Overall, I would certainly recommend this Recycled Rubber Products. They were excellent to work with and the product met and exceeded all of our expectations! Absolutely LOVE my beautiful, maintenance free children's playground and flower garden!!! I do not have one bad thing to say about this company! My husband and I ordered Rustic Redwood colored mulch for our daughters play ground about 5 years ago. It looks the same as it did the day we got it! We were a little hesitant at first because we did not want a rubber tire smell from the hot sun and heat. Also upfront this company did not guarantee it would be completely metal free. We spend a lot of time outside in our backyard, the kids are constantly going from our swimming pool to the play ground with NO shoes on. So needless to say we were a bit concerned. We have NEVER once seen a piece of metal in our mulch, No not once! We have never once noticed a smell of burnt rubber! I would recommend this product 110%, Two thumbs up!!!! We do not have to worry about the kids falling because it cushions them and worry about those nasty splinters from the wood mulch. Just this Spring we did around our flower garden and it looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! My flowers never looked so good! My husband and I got sick of replacing our wood mulch year after year. Rubber mulch is defiantly the way to go and maintenance free! This time I was a little upset because delivery was not when we expected. My husband called and the owner apologized for any inconvenience and explained that they had NO control of the shipping. We did receive it the next day, so all was well (that's life). I'm a landscaper and I bought some rubber mulch from this company for a daycare. Turned out there was a lot of metal still in the rubber that would hurt the kids. The company basically told me too bad - that I'd already bought it and they never guaranteed that it would be completely free of metal. They didn't care that the kids at the daycare were getting hurt by there mulch. I pulled all the mulch out and replaced it with new (from a different company) at my own cost. That company doesn't guarantee metal-free either, but the mulch was just fine. read more

Good stuff, have it in our play ground area. I think that it is better than regular mulch for several reasons, one it lasts so much longer, two it does not fad, three you can rack it back into the play area and it is not lost in the ground. read more

My husband and I ordered 4 big bags of mulch from this company and everything was fine until the delivery. There was some delay on the delivery, but the shipping company wasn't communicating well with me so I called Recycled Rubber Products' office to see if they could help me figure it out. I asked to speak to the owner because she was the one I'd originally spoken with. She took my call and I thought that it would be smooth sailing from there. But she was so rude to me, I couldn't believe it. She was defensive as soon as she picked up and treated me like I had no business calling and asking for her. She kept trying to blame the shipping situation on the shipping company and her office employees. I never even asked for a refund, but she made sure to tell me 3 or 4 times that they would not be giving me any money back. When she had originally sold me the mulch she seemed so nice. She answered all my questions and when she found out I went to church she told me all about her kids and her church and how her company was a Christian company and integrity was the most important thing to her. I feel like a fool for believing her, because there was nothing Christ-like about how she treated me this second time. Clearly the company only cares about making a sale, and not about how they treat people. I did finally receive my mulch, but only after I did all the leg-work with the shipping company and waited 2 extra days for them to come out. The mulch is nice, but I wish I had given my money to a company with more integrity. My friend loves my rubber mulch, and wanted to get some, but I told her how bad my experience was and she bought from another company. I would suggest you stay away from this company. read more
