I would not bank here. The clerk was friendly but smug…read more I went to cash a business check that one of their customers wrote to me for buying a boat from me. The check was not large enough to warrant an alert. The clerk said they will charge me $7 to cash the check since I am not a regular customer. Not good - I already negotiated the price of the boat down substantially, and now I have to give the bank $7? - definitely not good. So I was falling for it. They wanted my ID. OK. If they thought there was a problem, they could call their customer - but no. Then they wanted to profile me. Hmmm. Then they wanted my ssn#. No Way. I did not cash the check. I will not be back. My banks do not charge people to cash checks I write. If there is a question they call me. They do not ask for non regular customers ssn#. There are plenty of other banks without ridiculous service charges. There are plenty of other banks that know their customers. If this is your bank, I recommend finding a good bank and using it.

Other banks in Winchester are limited to local or a small Ky region. Had three different experiences where PNC deposited our money in someone else's account (ouch!!) or could not accept a wire transfer from an out of town bank into our account! Asked to speak to the manager twice, and was told he would call me - but he never did. Left two voice messages to the manager's phone requesting call back for discussion - no call back ever. Heard that manager left for some reason - hmmm. Then we got notice they were closing this branch. So now we have PNC accounts and no local branch. Not happy. Will likely change banks and transfer our accounts after we research which might be best when we are in town, or in Lexington, or traveling out-of-state. Recommendation?

A lady came out and announced that she could not help us because she was a banker and not a teller. The average wait time was over 30 minutes with several customers getting exasperated and leaving. I asked the "banker" lady to look up my loan number which she did. I told her that PNC had bought out my loan and that I was not able to access the online account. She announced in a loud voice...your PAST DUE AMOUNT is $(#*@ She smiled while I stared...my loan was due 4 days ago and still within my grace period....How incredibly RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL.....why anyone intentionally signs up for an account here is beyond me.
