I am a senior and had purchased a mountain bike at a big retail store and not a proper cycle shop…read moretwo years ago. It was okay, but parts seemed to wear too early. Bit by bit as things broke or wore out I brought my bike into Frontenac Cycle for repairs. All parts that were replacing the worn out original parts were a definite upgrade in quality. As of this review my pedals, sealed cartridge bearings, freewheel, handle bars, ergo grips and thumb shifters have all been upgraded and the cost did not break the bank. I have been very impressed with the professional knowledgeable staff and hope to have a long enjoyable cycling relationship with Frontenac Cycle. It's nice to know these days where you can go for great service at a very good price . p.s. my bike now is nothing like it was when I bought it new,it is so much better.

Awesome service! I…read morebrought my NORCO in for a quick tune up as the weather is getting colder and I want to continue riding my bicycle into the winter. The guy that dealt with me was really friendly, and assured me that they'd have things tuned up and ready to get back on the road by the next afternoon. Excellent. When I arrived back to pick it up, they almost let me leave without paying, which was a funny moment, but after things were settled up, I was able to see that they did a great job servicing my ride. I'll be coming back in future for sure. There is also a good selection of gear and accessories, so if you are looking for fenders, racks, gloves, locks, or lights, they likely have something to meet your needs.

Owner then proceeded to tell me that if I did purchase an electric bike from another source he would not provide any service. Not everyone in Brockville wants to spend $4000 for an electric bike. Owner sarcastic and rude and told me 'you get what you pay for' as if I was an idiot. Will not frequent this place again. Most people in this town are SO friendly. What is his problem ?

I had an unfortunate event while riding on the St. Lawrence seaway trail while on vacation. A pedal…read morefell off my bike. Though I probably could've gotten it fixed out in Cornwall, I didn't even think of it, and returned to the American side and searched for a bike repair shop. I do have to give kudos to Canadian Tire, though, a store which really has no American equivalent because they sell such an odd array of stuff. They have a wide selection of bike accessories and parts, but no cranks, which is what I needed. I used my GPS to search for a bike shop on the American side of the Thousand Islands, and there were NONE. The Canadian side, however, had many. Gananoque, Brockville, Cornwall, Kingston... all of them had bike shops. Ogdensburg, Alex Bay, Clayton... nothing. That's America, it's a problem. Anyway, I ended up in Brockville at Cranks on a Wednesday afternoon. The repair guy, who I assume was the owner, and hence the "Crank" of the shop name, was actually cranky. Not to me, but to another customer. Coincidentally, he did have the crank I needed, and had it installed probably after an hour. We walked around Brockville and he called our cell phone when it was done. Then on we went to bike Wolfe Island. He was a lifesaver... or more accurately, a BIKE-saver!

My wife and were really intrigued by the golf section and spent a good time there. I was able to try out some of the putters and actually found one I love. I was also able to get a new driver cover that was mystery machine themed. My wife was able to find some new Hey Dudes to wear while on our vacation. The staff at the register were pleasant.

There was no one at the desk so I pushed the button for assistance and about a couple of minutes later Mike came over and asked if he could help I explained that I was there for my putter but I could see it still needed to have the grip put on. He said well it's not done, I'll have to call you when it's ready. I said "Can't you just put the grip on while I wait and he said no there's a ton of people in front of you. I explained that I had driven from Carthage and he shrugged his shoulders. I asked to speak to someone else and he said there is no one else...I'm it. I asked for a discount because I paid for a service and was told it would be ready and it wasn't and he said We don't do that. He said that there has only been one person working the golf center for the past couple of days and I said that's funny because there were two guys here yesterday. He said I don't know what to tell you...it's not ready. I told him that that was horrible customer service and that that wasn't good business no matter how you look it and that I wanted a discount because if they were so busy that it couldn't be done on time that they should've called to tell me instead of letting me drive all the way up there for nothing. He ended up calling around 8pm and when my husband said he would pick it up tomorrow he hung up on my husband. Mike is one of the rudest employees I have ever encountered! He should not be in a customer service position now or ever!
