So my goal was to purchase a variety of pre-rolls, see what I like and then come back for an ounce before I leave. Simple enough, right? So I go in and the guy at the door checks me in and brings me to a tablet to explore. I'm 61 years old and technology is not always my friend. I had a hard time navigating. I was barely able to find some pre-rolls that I thought were acceptable. I had no idea how to research if these pre-rolls were available in flower. The pre-rolls I picked out were two 2-packs that were $26 each. I put them in the basket and checked out. When I did that, both products showed as on "special" and had a discounted price of $22.10 I believe it was. The two together with tax was $49.95. I placed the order on the tablet and turned around. There were five people on line and one guy behind the counter. It took a while, but I finally got up to the counter. The guy found my order and rang it up, but now he wants $58 and change. I told him no, my total is supposed to be $49.95, but he couldn't figure it out. Then I asked him if this was available in flower. He looked it up and said no. I felt like I had really just wasted thirty minutes and I ended up walking out empty handed. I told my nephew what happened and he mentioned that a new dispensary had opened near by. I ended up just going there and buying my ounce before I went home. The guy in there did take the time and gave me the level of service that I needed. So this is where it gets interesting. The next day, I left a poor review on Google. Shortly after that, I received a notification that the business had responded. I read the response, and it was mostly apologetic. Ok, that's cool. The owner wants to make it right. So after I got home, I looked up the review and wanted to tell the owner about what happened to me and discuss options. When I looked it up, the owner had edited his reply. Now it said that my complaint made no sense and he accused me of being the owner of the new dispensary, and I was trying to sabotage his business. It's one of the craziest things i have ever seen on a review. Right now, I am trying to figure out how to respond to him, but you should take a look at the Google review to see just how paranoid this owner is.

The employee working behind the counter questioned my 26-year-old boyfriend's ID, immediately concluded it was fake, and called the police without involving a manager or taking any reasonable steps to verify the identification first. Rather than handling the situation professionally, the employee escalated it unnecessarily. When the responding officers confirmed that his ID was completely valid, the employee's response was, "So you're not going to do anything?" Even after being proven wrong, she still appeared determined to have a paying customer arrested. That was honestly the most shocking part of the entire experience. Mistakes can happen, especially with different forms of identification such as enhanced driver's licenses. However, there is a significant difference between asking questions or involving a manager and immediately calling law enforcement while falsely accusing a customer of using a fake ID. He was treated like a criminal over a legitimate ID, and it was embarrassing, unnecessary, and completely avoidable. This experience reflects a serious lack of training, professionalism, and customer service. There are too many dispensaries with knowledgeable, respectful staff to tolerate being treated this way. We will be taking our business elsewhere, and I will no longer be recommending The Flowery to friends or family.
