After waiting another full five minutes, I left and went to the competition over on Avenue B, where I found friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service, a good selection, and much better prices. I can't be sure that my age was the problem, but there was probably a 50 year difference in my age and the age of the young lady who the clerk rudely turned away from me to serve.
